We all have our dark and light side in ourselves, But what matters is the part that we choose to act on. 

Clyde is an uptight man, it’s hard to read what’s on his mind. If you’re going to look at him, his demon side was all you can see.

And that's his barrier, He builds a big and tall barrier of the furrowed face just for us not to see who really He is. 

I don't know if it's just me, but Clyde is a really soft guy. He's strong but he also cries, He shows frown face but deep inside he's smiling and he may curse but I saw and heard him pray. 

and that's weird.

In 4 months of being with Clyde, we didn’t do anything but to fight about our opposite beliefs. He’s always not in a mood and his furious face was all you can see.

It's been 4 months since we're together, our schoolmates did a rumor that we’re in a relationship. One time, his fangirls made a protest about us being together, but Clyde stopped them. 

And since that day, no one even dares to come close to me. Even Xavier, He can’t come near me...

One step close to mine, Clyde will kill him. He’s definitely afraid, even me. So I told him to distance in the meantime. That’s all I can do.

Clyde also stopped bullying scholars, We’re always together so I’m holding his neck. One wrong move and I will kill him with my pointed curses.

I’m also holding his card and keys, keys of the condo, and cars. So Yeah, He’s definitely afraid of what I can do.

He also improved in academics, way back when We’re not together, He always got F on his test papers but now, He can get A and even A+.

I'm just so proud of myself, Like hello? I just changed the Clyde Lucas that has the middle name of the demon.

He also acts strange, when I got sick, He’s always on my side, He brought medicine and He guides me. And then now, He even opened the door for me. 

This is weird! 

"This is so weird Clyde, what the hell," I said while glancing at his face. He’s seriously looking at the road and silently driving. 

"Stop staring." He said while creasing his forehead and focus on driving.

"You demon need to stop doing this," I mumbled.

"Stop what?" He asked, I looked at him and I point my fingers to his face.

"You. Being weird." I heard him chuckled, what's wrong with you Clyde Lucas?! I just rolled my eyes and I just let him drive. I focused my self outside and I sighed.

We immediately reached the University because there’s no traffic, He parked the car and He opened the door for me. This is freaking weird! I got goosebumps because of him! Argh!

"Amber..." I heard him but I ignored him. 

I don’t have time to play with you Clyde.

"Wait," He said and he held my shoulders that made me faced him.

"Amber.." He said, I didn’t respond and I just wait until He said something.

I raised my eyebrow because He’s acting weird. He’s wasting my time, what the hell is his problem?! He’s just looking at me as if He needed to tell me something.

"Amber..." He repeats I can’t take this anymore! He’s wasting my precious time for nothing! 

"What the hell is your problem?! You’re calling my name over and over again! Are you my Child?! Are you an infant?! Do you want breast milk?! " I shouted that made him smile widely, He’s crazy—

Shit...

WHAT DID I JUST say?!

"I don't know that you're aggressive." He said while smiling from ear to ear. 

I repeat what I said on my mind and I just want the soil to eat me now because of the embarrassment. Shit shit! 

I feel like I need to disappear quickly because of what I said, My blood was all in my face because of the redness I got. Argh! I covered my face and I walked as fast as I can. 

I need to get out of here.

"Hey! Amber! Where do you want to do it?!" He asked while laughing. He ran towards me while laughing so loudly! Annoying! 

"Amber Amber.." He called me and continue punching my waist. 

"Amber.. please watch your words." He said between his laugh, Argh! Annoying! Doesn’t He know how to move on?! 

"Pervert!!" I shouted and I ran as fast as I can, I reached the classroom first and I saw our Professor checking their attendance. 

He gestured me to come inside so I followed him, He’s busy checking the attendance when Clyde came without saying anything. 

"You're late, Mr. Smith." Mr. Gonzales Looked at him while fixing his reading glasses. Oldies feels.

"Traffic..." He said Good thing He didn’t say anything that will make Mr. Gonzales mad at him. He continues checking the attendance and He proceeds to our lesson. 

In the middle of the discussion, I felt dizziness but I need to focus on the lesson! I might fail in our quiz because of these eyes. Argh!

But our professor started a topic that caught our attention.

"So.. if you're starting a business, you must consider possibilities. Like, bankruptcy, loss and smash up. And also, you're starting a business not just to earn money but also to help other people. You must have a list of how, what, and who. For example, when you are starting to sell milk... you have to consider the child's age because not every infant 

is allowed to drink powdered milk." He seriously discussed to us how to start a business and of all things that He might sell, Why does it have to be milk?! Argh! Clyde will start this bullshit again! 

"So.. you must start to think If how you will start selling breast milk. How can you produce artificial breast milk? If there’s someone who’s willing to be a supplier and the safety of the product. But this is hard to maintain because it’s hard to make artificial breast milk. It’s hard to copy natural milk from a body."

Of all topic, Why does it have to be breast milk?! I think I need to call all saints that I know for me to protect from evils out there.

Please don’t let him speak anything, please don’t let him—

"Yes, Mr. Smith?" Shit— This is the end of everything.

"What are the benefits of drinking breast milk?" He asked and I know He’s mocking me! Where did He find interest in drinking breast milk?!

What the fuck Clyde!

"We're talking about business here, Mr. Smith. We're not into benefits." Mr. Gonzales replied casually.

"But it's quite interesting." He asked which made our classmates groaned because of excitement.

'Ohhh..'

'Bro, what the fuck?' 

'Nice one Smith!'

'Annalise is willing to give you some!' 

'Of course' I think that's Annalise, What's wrong with her?! 

"QUIET!!" 

"But someone offered me earlier... Is it healthy Sir?" Clyde asked that made everyone shout.

I feel like my face is red because of embarrassment. Though I know that my classmates don’t know anything I can feel Clyde’s eyes on me. Bastard!

Arghh! I hate you!

The class finished and We’re free to cut classes because our Professor is on leave, so I decided to go out to talk to Xavier. Well, I just miss my superstar friend.

I went outside the classroom and I walked in the hallway, I heard Clyde‘s looking for me and good thing I saw Xavier. I held his hands and I pulled him to go behind the main building when I heard Clyde’s footsteps.

I gestured him to keep quiet when I heard Clyde’s voice. 

"Damn!" He cursed and immediately walked away. I exhaled free my when He walked away.

"Why are we hiding?" Xavier asked while chasing his breath. 

"I need to escape from that demon, I’m controlling my emotions because I think I can kill him now," I said and I sat down to the old bench. There’s an old fountain that caught my attention, Why is it here behind the building? It should be in front because it will give a good ambiance.

The fountain was old but it’s beautiful, there’s a half body of a girl in the middle of it. The girl has long hair where the water streaming there, but because of its age, the paint was fading. But even though it's old, the vintage vibe was just breathtaking! 

"It's a Xana." I looked at Xavier, I think He noticed that I was looking at the fountain for a minute.

"It's a mythical creature, She's a female water nymph with a hypnotic voice," Xavier said while browsing through the fountain. 

"Why is it behind the building?" He shrugged and He sat down beside me. I glanced at the fountain and something caught my attention. 

The mythical creature statue was holding a silver thing, I think it's a pendant. I walked close to the fountain and I saw a silver pendant. There's an initial, J & J. Maybe a couple owned this. I was about to touch it but someone shouted. 

"Who told you to go here?!" I turned my head to look at him, I'm not surprised when I saw Clyde. His forehead was creasing and his hands were both inside his pocket. He walked closer and He held my hands

"Why are you with him?!" He asked

"What?! We’re just friends that’s Why We’re together!" I can’t help but shout because of anger, He’s not minding his own business! I know we have a deal but that doesn’t mean that I gave him consent to mind my life. 

"Let's go." He held my arms tightly and He pulled me away from Xavier. 

"It hurts, you asshole!" I tried to escape but He’s strong enough, I just let him pulled me until He satisfied himself. I looked at Xavier and I gave him a smile for him not to worry about me. 

'I'm sorry' I mouthed and good thing, He nods at me. 

'Take care' He mouthed and I just smiled.

I just let him drag me until He satisfies himself. He pulled me beside the gymnasium that has a lot of trees, this is where Annabellise dragged me last time.

"Who told you that you can be with that guy?" He asked I can see anger through his eyes. I really don't get what's with this Guy, We're not even friends. We're just civil, it's all because of my Aunt and his parents. Nothing more, Nothing less. 

"What is it with you?! We're not even friends! How dare you control my life!" 

"I just.."

"Just what?!" I asked but He didn't reply.

"What Clyde?! What?!" 

"Fine! I just hate the way He looked at you! He was looking at you in the way that only I can look at you." I was shocked when He said that, those words...

Damn you, Clyde Lucas! 

Damn you and your words! 

I hate the way my heart flutter because of you. 

Your barrier, I think... I broke it.
