chapter 2

Edwina's eyes widen listening to Jackson, she was watching Jackson face for a minute to find any doubt on what he said, but he was serious as his demeanor not showing any sign of doubt than her eyes averted to Marcus, she wants him to deny the news she just heard. Marcus was not watching in her eyes, he was looking at his plate.  No, it can not be that soon... She thought about it, she was contemplating her self to not show any emotions but the hurt in her eyes was so evident. 

Edwina put a hand on his shoulder to grab his attention, Marcus the towards her face to saw her look into his eyes, he never denied the news that he found his mate, she raised an eyebrow in question, she wants to listen to it from his mouth. 

"Yes, Edwina. I found my mate. She is my mate Isabey, I just found her two days ago..." Marcus said. He was going to say further but she put her hand on hai mouth, he stared into her beautiful eyes. 

"Marcus, I need to talk to you in private. Can you come with me for some time please?" She requested, Marcus can not deny her, he can not deny her any request in his whole life.

"Edwina, come let's go, " Marcus stands up from his seat, he grabbed her hand.

" I will be in my side office for some time, don't disturb me, I don't want anyone to interior our conversation. Am I clear?" Marcus said in his Alpha tone, Isabey was amazed by listening to a few shades deep of his voice. All of the wolves flinched as they listen to his command. No one can deny an Alpha order that also applied to Reuben and Isabel as they both were also not able to deny him, so all of them nodded their head. 

Isabey glanced at her with side views to watch them moving upstairs in his office, her eyes shifted to their intertwined hands, when Jackson said that I'd bet is Marcus mate, the girl was on the verge of crying but why?  Who is she? Is she his girlfriend? Or just a fuck buddy!!! But why Isabey cares? If he takes her with him if he didn't deny her to talk in private. 

'As for me they both go to fucking hell, I don't care.' Isabey grumbled inside, soon Louis will be here and this shitty Alpha will be out of her head. Pffff!!!

Marcus used his Alpha tone, so she must be very important to him, Oh, this drama is too much to handle. 

Isabey rolled her eyes internally but managed to compose her good girl posture outside, she looks towards Jason as she was hurt!!! She didn't say anything to Jackson because she knows he is a dumbass!!!

"I am going out for some fresh air, please I will be fine. I don't want any of you coming behind..." Isabey gets off from her seat,  Jason looks at her, she looks so upset and hurt. Isabey sobbed a little,  she acted as innocent and naive as she can muster it, she runs outside from the packhouse. 

As coming outside she sighed in relief, puff 'fuck that Alpha and his pack member, I can not act for so much time!!! I have to do my works a soon as possible... This all pack drama, mate, family, and friends are being with my head. Isabey is not good for you, you have to just focus on the goal.' 

Isabey thought, she then smirked walking away from the oack house, she has to roam all over the security borders to make a map of it, she will then send it to her master, she also has to talk to Louis. 

Isabey though missed him too much... So she walks inside the first to pay an eye on the security on borders.

(In Marcus Office)

Marcus and Edwina walk over to the stairs, he stopped when they both were out of the eyes, he took her with concern. Edwina stares him with eyes filled with tears, he hugged her tightly then lifted her up in bridal style, she snakes her arms in his neck moving closer to him, Marcus took her inside his office licking the door behind, he gently put her body on the sofa. 

Marcus then walked to his desk standing with it, his hands folded on his chest, he heard her sobbing for some time, it ached his heart.

Marcus can not see her cry, this girl is the happiest thing ever happened to him in his whole life, he can do anything for her one smile, Edwina Ambrose... She is the daughter of Alpha Damien of the Red Crescent Pack, it is their neighboring oack and their best allies, Marcus found her when she was three years old, he visited their oack with his other when he himself was five but that little girl with big beautiful eyes catch her attention, she was hiding behind his father.

Firstly, Marcus hesitated but then after some time both the pups started playing with each other, they played the whole day so drawn in each other,  Marcus tugged her hair she whined but then he gave her a beautiful flower a smile appeared on her face, the girl becomes his favorite, he always comes in their oack to play with her or Edwina goes to his pack, he always fascinated this girl as they both grew old the friendship become unbreakable, at some time Jackson feel jealous of them both they both are best friends from that time, Marcus loves her so much!!!

Marcus and Edwina are like they both don't have any secrets, they both know each other so well, from their food habits to their clothes choice to their favorite songs, movies, tv channels, color,  she knows all the things about him as he knows everything about her, Edwina ship for him, his almirah is filled with the clothes she selected for him,  she shopped his socks to his undergarment.  Marcus knows that what toothpaste flavor she likes, to what is her weak spot, they both know each other bodies so well, they explored each other so much that he knows she has a mole under her right thigh!!! She knows how to make him feisty and wild, she knows how to turn him into his wolf. It is the most beautiful relationship in his life. 

At one time their patents thought that they both are mates but when they turned eighteen, they find out that they are not mates but Marcus and Edwina's hearts were connected with an unbreakable bond, a thread that binds them both in this relation of love, trust and confidence. 

But Alpha Damien cleared it out that when they both will find their mates they have to go to them, they can not hurt or leave their mates. 

Marcus and Edwina divided that when they will find their mates they will not reject them but they will start their life with their Mates.

Their beautiful friendship turned into a delightful romantic relationship soon enough, as they both didn't find their mates so they decided to keep company to each other when they will feel the heat. 

Marcus was so gentle and playful with Edwina, she enjoyed his company, his touch, his love... The trail of kisses he gives to her the bites he leaves on her body. Edwina loves every bit of it when his hands explore her body. 

Edwina never felt insecure in his presence, she never felt any bad feeling in his touch, he never felt any had in his touch for her body, it was not lusting that he wants to touch her but it was pure emotions, he showed a desire for her... The passion the love he gave her was unexplainable. 

Marcus always respected her in all the ways, two years back she moved with him for training, as she wanted to become a war warrior wolf, so Marcus trained her... She trained with Marcus for one year, it was the best days they spent together, but Edwina wants to learn more so she requested Marcus to let her join a training institution for six months, the institution was far away from the packs, Marcus thinned when she decided that she will be fine for six months because never wanted her to go away from him... But he also can not bound her with him, she has the right to live her own life. 

Marcus let her go but he craved for her touch, he was imploring for her body, so he moved to the institution to meet her, they both shared a few nights together then Marcus come back to his pack. 

It worked for both of them till her training was completed, Marcus came back and forth to the city driving for hours just to meet her, when Edwina completed her training she came back to the pack, she was so strong that she defeated Jackson. 

Marcus was so proud Of her, he showed her with her favorite gifts. Edina room is filled with the things that are the choices of him, three weeks ago she was given for another training session, she never expected that when she will come back, he would have found his mate. 

Now, she is sitting in his office, he was standing near his desk watching her clear her heart. 

"Rose, you know I can not see you cry." He said, but she didn't listen to him. 

Marcus moved towards the said sitting beside her, he married her hand then kissed it...

"Edwina, please!!! I know you are upset, but crying like this you are breaking my heart into pieces, I can not see you like this, you know how much love you!!!" Marcus said. 

At his words, she raised her head up to look in his eyes, her beautiful eyes were puffy due to crying the tears were rolling on her cheeks. 

"Marc. Marcus." She sobbed hugging him, she put her head on his shoulder to let all the sadness wash away from her heart. But it hurts so much!!!

Marcus caressed her back, he was soothing her with his touch, he was trying to calm her down wiping the tears from her eyes. 

"Marcus, why didn't you told me? Why you were not texting me back, I was so worried that's why I came here... But now I know, you found your mate. So, why would you bother remembering me!!!" Edwina sobbed saying this she hid her face in his chest. 

"Rose, my life. I never intended to hurt you, believe me, I was busy with pack work that's why I didn't text you back, I can never forget you. Edwina, you mean so much to me!!! Please, don't say things like that you are hurting yourself and me also." Marcus said kissing her forehead, he grabbed her face in his hands so gently then wiped her tears away from her face. 

Marcus gave her a glass of water that she gulped down, she looks a bit better to Lauren to him, he also never wanted to hurt him, so she just stares him to explain it to her... This man is her life. 

"Rose, I found her in so different circumstances, she went throw so many things in her life. Please trust me, I will never let her come in between us, what is between u will be like this always, I promise!!!" Marcus assured her, but the doubts and insecurity in her eyes are so evident. 

Edwina get control on her self, she has to be strong enough to let him go, she also never wanted him to bound due to her, he has the right to live his life with his mate, he has the right to be happy. 

"Marc, tell me the story from the begging, I want to make sure that my love is with the right girl." She said.  Marcus heaved a sigh!!!

He then laid on the road motioning her to lay on his body, they both did that all the time when he tells her anything in detail, Edwina hesitated a bit... It was the first time in so many years but she then laid on his body, he secured her in his arms placing his hand on her back, he was drawing circles on his bare skin. 

Edwina felt a relief wash over her body, she then hummed to give him a feature to star, so Marcus starts feeling her the whole story. 

In between the story so many times, she gasped as she was not expecting such a rough life for a girl, Marcus filled her with all the details. 

In the end, Edwina was shocked listening to it all, 

"OMG!!! Marcus, I say she went through so much, I can not really imagine anything, it hurt just listening to it my heart feels for her, such a vulnerable girl." She said Marcus, hummed then kissed her forehead. 

"Edwin, I will not lie to you but I really fall for my mate, as the first time I laid my eye on her, but I am being patient enough to give her time." He deferred his feelings in front of the most important person in his life. 

"Marcus, I can understand that mate is so you're and strong. But I am thinking about the girl, she really needs the love of a family. Isabey needs his mate to soothe her old wounds. I am so proud of you my love, Marcus you will be a very good ante to her, she will forget all her sorrows, I know you will make her so happy." Edwina said. He smiled at her words.

The girl that was so insecure about him, she never left her to flirt around with pack girl, she scolded him for his nightstands, she jay want him for herself!!!

Today, she is being so understanding, she has the courage to let him go, she is not being jealous or selfish but she is being pure-hearted to let him live happy with his mate, as she knows his mate wants him.

Edwina is such a pure-hearted girl, that's why she is in his heart from a long time, she will always be in his heart, as Marcus can never neglect his feelings for her, he kissed her forehead another time, she smirked the moved up from his body.
