Druggie

Helen got to the hotel on time and met Alhaji and Ayo and some other ladies who were there with them. They were not in their usual room this time around but in a private suite which was fancier and classy. She wondered what he had planned for her this time around.

He invited her in, as soon as she knocked and asked her to sit beside him. There were all types of drinks ranging from Vodka, gin, rum, whisky, brandy on the table before them. They had just started with the drinks as the bottles were still almost full and as such, they were all sober. She noticed some other weird things on the table, white powder and some pills. 

Her senses were alarmed by what she saw there but she kept her cool so as not to annoy Alhaji.

"Should I make your usual for you," Alhaji asked her, noticing her apprehension.

"Yes, please."

 He mixed her drink for her, whiskey, ginger ale, and a slice of lemon with ice cubes just as she liked it. 

"What's the white stuff on the table," Helen asked Alhaji after he handed her the drink.

"Cocaine." He whispered into her ears and laughed heartily at the shock on her face.

"Take some, it's really nice." Alhaji persuaded her.

"No."

"You will like it, I promise."

"I said no," Helen said more sternly this time around.

He stopped asking her and engaged others in the room with conversations. Helen watched as they drank and sniffed the white stuff, they were all getting bolder and noisier as time went by till she was fed up and wanted to leave but as she stood up pain shot through her body and she cried out.

"Are you okay." The lady in a red shirt and a very skimpy leather skirt asked. From her looks, she was in her early twenties and the way she acted showed she was from a rich and Affluent family.

"I'm okay just a little pain," Helen replied dismissively 

"I have a very active pain killer with me." The lady said

"I will manage, when I get home I will take some pain killer," Helen said, but the pain was too severe to bear that she asked the lady for the pill she had earlier offered her.

"You should take only a tablet, it's just 250mg and you will feel relief in no time." The lady in the red T-shirt handed her a full sachet and asked her to keep the rest. "I have more at home." She said to Helen when she refused to keep the rest.

Helen felt her pains subside in no time and thanked the lady again for the drugs. She decided to stay longer because of how nice the young lady and others had been to her, none of them asked her to join them in sniffing the cocaine and she just sat with them and listened to the conversation around her.

She left for home later than planned and when she got home Sarah was already sleeping. She felt a little guilty for not spending much time with her. "I will make out more time for my child." She tutored herself before her stomach growled from hunger and she made some noodles and fried plantains with one boiled egg, after eating, Helen decided to take the pills given to her again, she loved how relaxed it made her feel.

Her relationship with Alhaji became more complicated as he always had a new set of people joining them, they didn't have much sex as before and whenever they did it would be marathon sex for that day. She drank more courtesy of him, she became more reliant on the pain reliever given to her and even went as far as going to the chemist to get more. The more she stayed in the company of Alhaji and his companions the more she had the urge to join them in their sniffing habit. 

"Can I take a sniff," Helen asked during one of their meetups.

All heads turned towards her surprised at her request

"Sure, finally you will get to experience life in its fullness," Alhaji said and passed the cocaine to her.

Helen took a deep sniff as a novice and it knocked her off, when she recovered she found herself alone with just Alhaji in the room as the other occupants had left.

"What happened?" Helen asked 

"Don't tell me you have forgotten," Alhaji said laughing 

"I only remember sniffing the cocaine, nothing more."

He laughed again and threw mocking jabs at her.

"You knocked yourself out, next time sniff slowly, Okay!!!. Now tell me how you feel." 

Helen could not believe it, but she felt great and actually wanted more of the powder and the ecstasy she felt now.

Helens Pov

 At the beginning I took tramadol for the relief it gave me from my body pains, however, I've become more dependent on the drug and the way it numbs not just the ache in my body but the ones the world cannot see because it's only visible to me alone.  

Alhaji has also introduced me to cocaine and I love the way it makes me feel confident and alert. At first, Alhaji gave them to me free of charge but since I became more addicted to it he makes me pay for them now. At first, he demanded anal sex from me then threesome, however recently he doesn't call me as often as before, and I'm devastated especially since I spend a lot of money to acquire the coke.

"Alhaji, I need some of those substances." I had put a call across to him that morning because I couldn't concentrate on any other thing, I felt deprived.

"It's not free."

"Please, I'm broke. Send me some please, I would pay you in kind." I said hoping he would supply me the coke for sex.

"Helen...my beautiful Helen. The former deal we used to have is over, now you need to provide cash if you want some cocaine."

I didn't have any money in my bank account and no Job either, my body was not enough anymore. I tried hard to quench my desire for the substance but I couldn't.

"Okay, I will send some money across to you tomorrow," I said.

"I will give you the contact of the dealer that supplies me so you can deal directly with him, just tell him I gave you his contact so he would give you a fair price okay." He didn't waste much time and hung up the phone.

I was on my own once again, my sugar daddy just bailed on me.

2 months later

Sarah turned eight yesterday and Helen was a complete druggie now, she had sold almost all she had suffered to acquire in order to enable her cocaine addiction. All the wealth she gathered earlier to give my daughter a good life had been wasted by her, she sold her second car last week and almost all of her property. She had also thrown caution to the wind and now invited men to her home, they paid her cash for sex.

 Her latest client is a dealer and he supplied her cocaine for sex. David was a very brutal man and he hit her quite a lot, even her child was not spared from his brutality.

"You and your daughter are totally useless." He yelled at Sarah when She mistakenly bumped into him and the coffee mug he was holding crashed and broke on the floor.

Sarah crouched down in fear, as he shouted at her. 

"Don't cry, baby." Helen consoled her child, she had really messed up this time around and her addiction to cocaine was not making things easier for her, she couldn't call David off hence he would leave her. 

When Sarah felt calmer and stopped crying. Helen confronted David, she didn't yell at him but tried to talk to him in a calm voice because she knew he was easily triggered.

"She didn't mean to bump on you David, she is just a child you know."

David did not acknowledge her but continued playing games on his phone.

"You can be nicer to her for my sake." Helen continued, she placed her thin hands on her chest. The long gown she was wearing hung loosely on her body.

"Get off my back, I don't care about either of you, and don't push me with your bickering." 

Helen knew it was time to retreat, but it was her daughter after all and she must protect her from bad people so she went to where he was sitting and squatted facing him.

"Please David, you scare her whenever you scream at her. She is just a child."

He grabbed her neck and forcefully kissed her "With just a snap, I could break your neck, Helen."

"You are hurting me."

"It's high time I left you, you are no use to me anymore."

Helen's eyes moistened, and her heart ached at his cruel words. What was it about her that made men reject her after using her?.

He knew the power he had over her and laughed hard at her, then he brought out a pen barrel and waved it at me. "Do you want this?." He asked me

"Yes, please," Helen whispered like a child

He held her ponytail and tilted her head over "I don't want to hear another word about that brat of yours, ever again." 

Helen nodded a yes as she choked back the tears, he then pushed her, making her hit her back hard on the floor before he threw the pen barrel at her. She picked it up and hurriedly left him for the bathroom. With just a sniff Helen emptied the pen barrel of the powder it contained. 

She felt high and alive for a moment before reality sunk in moments later.

She had sold her soul to the devil.
