chapter 38

Finally the day I have always longed for is now here.I'm here to live my life according to my dreams .I never thought this day will come but luckily I never gave up when I was on my lowest.

I still remember when everything went south when my father got involved in a car incident.Those were the toughest days of my life.He stayed on the comma for a year while my mom was doing her best for me to have what I needed.

My father was always a provider while my mom will stay at home and watch over me.She never worked but that changed when my father was on the comma.She had to make sure I was always alright and attended all my classes even though few months passed without her managing to pay them.

She did everything on her power to look after us.She made sacrifices that we are thankful even now.I remember when she never slept when my fathers' bill had errors. She is truly a mother to me and a fully wife to daddy.

Well my name is Lainey Brown I am a African American. My father is African while my mom is American. Basically I have two homes most of the early holidays we tour around Africa while our summer and our winters we tour around the world most special in UK even though my mom would preference to stays on her mother land.

Well I am 25 year old.I'm medium tall ,with brown skin that compliment my dark brown eyes.My lips are medium large appetizing lips.Well people always say my body is built for modeling. I am mostly passionate about law and aviation.But now I had to leave my love for aviation and pursue my 7 years of degree of law.

The reason behind that is I always loved everything that involved law or should I say proving a point .In my high schools year I was always in debate and involved in public speaking well I loved attention.I also love being in dangerous situations.They make me feel alive .Danger is my key to life.

Well today is the day I put my thoughts to life and live on them.From now on my knowledge will let criminal walk free if they have what I want.

Well the good news is I will start working for the mostly powerful company in New York that specialize on criminal law...

Waking up this morning without an alarm is the most amazing thing. It shows how ready I am.I pushed my sheets on the side and made my bed and walked to the bathroom.I brushed my teeth humming to my favorite song by Vedo while I swerved my ass side to side. After brushing my teeth I walked inside my glass shower.I opened the water and let it hit every inch of my skin.It hit every nerve of my body.

I applied my shower gel and let the water wash all the form away.When I finished ,I wrapped my body with a purple towel and walked to my room.I applied lotion to my body and chose my classic basic chinos dark green pants with my classic black half top.I finished up with my black thin leather heel which was 4 inch.

I walked to my mirror and applied light make up .When I was done I took my bag and walked to the kitchen and made cereal with fruits and topped it off with greek yogurt.I ate in peace .When I was done I placed my plate on my modern black sink and walked out of my apartment.

I found my cab already waiting for me.I wonder how I will survive since the ALM law firm provides us with cars .I guess I will have to find a way. I walked into the car and the driver was already outside. He closed the door after me.

"Where to ma'?" Asked the driver.

"To the ALM firm" I said as I smiled.

'Oky .You looking great for being a lawyer,are you gonna be the receptionist lady?" Well I was amazed about what he said but still grateful for the compliment.

"Lawyer go out of their way just to impress their clients"I said as I giggled.

"I guess those clients are special them ,I won't mind breaking few rules if its like that."

"Well that will only depend on the lawyer who will represent you".I said smiling.

"I agree I will have to place a request from you."He said as he stop on the big building firm.He then walked out and opened the door for me."There you go"he said with a smile as I came out.

"Thank you"I said as I walked into the building hoping not to get lost.

I reached the reception section where all eyes where on me.Everyone looked formal but there I was with my classic look.I reached the reception assistance and greeted her.And told her who I was.

"May you please call Logan and tell him that I am already here"I finished off with a smile .

She then looked at me and spoke."You mean your boss Mr Brito"she said with a fake smile.

"Whatever you want to call him tell him I am here."

When I saw him approaching I kept my eyes on him still asking what he was feeding on.The last time I saw him it was on a gala where my father received a best new business award .Logan was then skinny but fit,look at him now he is well build up .

"Here you are Lainey"he said that while he gave me a warm hug.

"And here you are Mr "I said with a smile while he walked me to his office.

When we got into his office he closed off the door and said I should fell comfortable.He sat on his seat while I sat opposite him.

"We are honored to have you under our company thank you for showing up"he said smiling

"I am the one so is honored here."well he was still the same old friendly Logan I once met.

"You will be starting to work tomorrow since your office is not ready yet but I already have three top most paying clients cases I want you to choose from"He pushed three files towards me."Those clients are our major share stack to this company, if we win one of those cases we will be saying hello to billions"

"So they pay you million to take them out"I asked already knowing the answer.

"Yes ,we have been struggling to take them out but they haven't gave up on us. "

"That's huge".

"Yes ,so you will have to choose one from those and here is your contract"he forward the stake of a file.I paged through and all I noticed was the zero I was going to get.I smiled and looked back to him.

"I will read it when I get home."I said that as I stoop up .He opened the door for me and escorted me out of the building.

When I got home ,I looked through the three cases but the second one drawn my attention.The Lennox Blancos' file.He committed not two crimes but four and from then i knew that he was going to be a perfect client.
