chapter 8

Paige was infuriated when she found out about Dayton and Sean. She still is.

'How dare she?

Oh My Gosh! Did she come here to ruin my life? To ruin chances for me?'

She didn't leave school after school. She had cheerleading practice. But that did not get her mind to stop.....she just can't stop thinking about Sean and Dayton.

Well, she can still have him, as long as she make the right moves and play the right cards.

She left Isabelle and Eliza with the other cheerleaders in the locker room and walked through hallways to her locker still in her cheerleading outfit.

In the hallway before the one her locker is in, she saw Sean at his locker. Even though she was angry, she couldn't help but smirk at seeing him alone without his beloved girlfriend (help her with the air quotes please).

She knew how hot she looks in her cheerleading uniform and she knows guys have a thing for cheerleaders. She walked up to him. He was facing his locker and she found herself hugging him from his back. 

Yeah. She's that desperate.

"Just give me a minute," he said definitely thinking she was Dayton.

Paige ignored his statement and enjoyed the feeling of hugging him. Soon, he was through and she had to let go.

"Angel....." He was saying but stopped when he turned around.

"Paige? I thought you were......"

"Dayton or rather Angel. I know," she interrupted him.

"What do you want? Or more importantly, why did you do that?" He asked looking around frantically.

"What if Dayton saw us like that? Do you think it would go down well with you?"

Paige rolled her eyes. 

"Do you know where she is? She's near by....." He continued ranting but she shut him up by crashing his lips with hers.

She's pretty sure he didn't expect that.

He didn't respond and she was about to pull herself away in a fit of pique because one thing she hates is rejection.

He pulled her back, held her by her waist and kissed her like his life depended on it.

Her right hand immediately found its way to his hair as she deepened the kiss even more, if that was even possible.

Paige thought of Dayton and instead of feeling bad and remorseful, she felt happy and unstoppable.

She felt on top of the world.

One of her top wishes had just came true.

When they had to stop to catch their breaths, she smirked as she looked at those lovely lips she just kissed.

They stayed like that, holding each other with their foreheads and nose touching.

But someone decided to ruin their beautiful moment.

They heard footsteps and immediately separated and gave each other gaps.

They then proceeded to pretend we were talking.

Dayton came into view when she turned into the hallway they were. She initially looked bewildered but later began to smile.

"Hi Dayton," Paige greeted her.

She looked thoroughly at Sean and Paige before replying her greeting. 

"Hi."

"Babe, sorry I kept you waiting. Paige here was asking about an assignment we were given in a class we have together."

Then he looked at her, "Right Paige?" He asked expecting her to play along.

"Right. Thanks for you help," Paige said smugly and began to walk away.

"Bye Dayton," she smirked.

"Bye."

Paige got to her locker and opened it. Sean and Dayton passed as she got what she needed. She winked at Sean making sure Dayton didn't see it.

She went back to the locker room and Isabelle and Eliza were the only ones left. They didn't fail to notice how happy Paige was.

"What happened?" Isabelle asked.

"What do you mean?"

"You weren't grinning when you left. So...something must have happened," Isabelle said again.

Paige smirked, "Maybe something nice did happen but nobody knows."

"Nobody knows eh?" Eliza eyed her suspiciously.

"Nobody does."

DAYTON

When Sean was taking longer than he should, I decided to go look for him. I saw him but he wasn't alone. Paige was with him.

I stared at them in bewilderment. She's the reason Sean took longer. 

What does she want?

To get SEAN, my head answered my question.

My Sean. Then I began to smile as I approached them.

"Hi Dayton," she greeted me.

"Hi," I replied after giving them a thorough look.

Just a few hours ago, Paige ignored my greeting but now, she has the guts to greet me.

"Babe, sorry I kept you waiting. Paige here was asking about an assignment we were given in a class we have together. Right Paige?" Sean said but didn't look me in the eye.

"Right. Thanks for your help," Paige said and began to walk away.

"Bye Dayton," she smirked.

"Bye,"I answered her.

Something was not right but I trust Sean. I totally do.

"Let's go," he said after Paige left.

We passed her at her locker and left the school.

He drove me to my house.

"Want to go see a movie on Friday night?" He asked.

"That'll be nice."

"See you tomorrow, Angel," he kissed my forehead.

I waved as he drove away. 

Something felt really wrong.

I won't deny that I felt quite uneasy seeing them together.

Maybe it's because I have the feeling that Paige can do anything to get want she wants.

Sean drove into his driveway and turned off the ignition. He couldn't believe he kissed Paige.

What happened to turning a new leaf?

What happened to not repeating my past mistakes?

Why did Paige have to do that?

And him being Silly kissed her back.

"Arghh!" He yelled and hit the steering.

Every time he settles on a girl as his girlfriend, he can't help but cheat on her. The fact that she's his girlfriend won't stop him from going after other girls and having them.

You could call it a curse if you like but he's being realistic here.

Maybe there are actually witches.

Maybe witches are real and one cast a spell on him.

No matter how hard he tries, he ends up doing the same thing over and over again.

At his old school, some began to call him player.

It happened with Emily, Lisa, Gina and Riley.

When he moved here, he decided that he wouldn't continue that here.

Meeting Dayton even made it seem easier than he thought. 

He really cares about her and the fact that he's her first boyfriend gets him more scared.

He doesn't want to break her heart.

Everything was going on smoothly until Paige came and decided to ruin it.

Why on earth did he kiss her back?

Her kiss ignited something deep inside of him. It felt as if something that had been caged inside him had been set free as she kissed him. 

She must be quite pleased with herself. And boy, could she kiss!

That was a damn mistake and he needs to get that into her head before she begins to think otherwise.
