2023-12-01 14:50:10The next morning I woke up with laughing voices coming from downstairs. I looked beside me to see Elena missing. I quickly shoved the blanket off my body and dragged myself to the attached bathroom.
The glow was still there on my face. I quickly washed my face with water. Brushing my teeth with the spare toothbrush, I decided to take a quick bath too.
With the towel around my mid body, I stepped back into the room and rummaged through my bag to find my lacy bra and matching panties. I quickly dropped my towel covering myself with my undergarments. I wore a tank top and a high waisted short.
Grabbing the cream from the dressing table I rubbed it on my leg propped high up on the bed. I did a minimal makeup. Applying red gloss on my already red lips, I moved out of the room.
I observed the scene before my eyes. Elena was talking to a woman, a very beautiful woman and David was sitting beside her softly smiling at her. There was a faraway look in his eyes. A look of adoration.
I continued to move towards them and finally got everyone's attention. I caught David's eyes but he just stared at me like last night didn't happen at all. I give him the same look and turned my head towards the red-haired woman.
"Rose meet my friend, Cheryl. We had a night out yesterday. Rose was my mother's best friend and the only mother figure in my life."
She hugged Rose tightly.
My eyes found David's once again and this time I saw a look of determination in his eyes. His mind was working, thinking something. I didn't like that look.
"Oh, sweetie. I'm always going to be there for you."
Rose took Elena's hands and sighed.
"Let's make breakfast together like old times. Daddy can wait here. Your friend can join us if she wants."
Elena told me with a slight shake of his head to say No and that's what I did. I think she wanted to spend some time with her.
David moved past me and ascended the stairs without giving me back a look. I followed him and saw him waiting for me in front of his bedroom. I felt warm in my stomach.
I quickly opened the door and moved into the room. He closed the door behind me. I shivered with the delight of being alone with him.
"When are you going home?"
He asked me and I could only stare at him. He suddenly appeared so cold, his eyes looking in a different direction.
"Why do you want to know?"
I asked calmly.
"I asked you a simple question. Answer it."
He asked in a low growl.
"Tomorrow maybe"
I replied and took a step towards him. He didn't move back.
"No. You are leaving today. Pack your bag."
I completed the gap between us such that our noses were touching and lips hovering over each other.
"Why? If this is about last night, then don't worry. I won't tell anyone I promise. Let me kiss you."
I said desperately. I was losing him, his allure.
"Cheryl you need to stop. I got carried away. You are my daughter's friend. You are a young naive little girl. You don't know what you are doing. Last night didn't happen."
David shook me roughly and I felt that churning sensation in my chest.
It was happening again. Once again a man I like I guess was going to throw me away but I won't let this happen.
"Who is that woman? It has to do something with that fucking bitch right?"
A sharp sting on my right cheek made my head spin.
A sensation, something to feel. Pain or pleasure is the only way you know that you are alive. I rubbed my cheek and looked at him.
He stared at me. His eyes wide and shocked. He took a step towards me and I took a large step back and ran out of his room.
A hit too close to home. I quickly grabbed my bag and stuffed my mobile in my short's pocket. I quickly ran down the stairs and came face to face with a confused looking Elena.
"My family is back. My Dad wants me back at home. I'll meet you at school tomorrow. It was a fun day and I loved spending it with you."
I ran out of her house before she could say anything.
I didn't know where I was going. I furiously kept rubbing my cheek.
Who was that woman to him?
I called a cab and shuffled myself inside it guiding the driver to my father's house.
