chapter 7

Trish POV

I was really worried about what is happening with my life. I can't believe that I trust Liam and felt safe with him. I mean, I barely know him, yet it felt like I didn't want to be away from him. I was like a metal being pulled by a magnet. This attraction I felt towards him is something that I've never experienced before. I am totally fucked up. I can't believe that I even believe him when he told me it's better I'm left in the dark about this whole shit that's happening. I told them my vampire theory that I thought would drive them away or even get a bit of truth out of them but it didn't work. Shit, now I'm not someone that go back against my own word so I have to suck it up and wait for them to tell me the truth on their own time. Agh....

I always wanted to travel the world and explore. For some strange reason I wasn't feeling good about going to Romania with them but I had no choice. I didn't want to die without knowing what the hell is going on around me. I had so many dreams and goals that I wanted to achieve. I wanted to live my life to the fullest and I wanted to give justice to my parents murder. After this dilemma with Liam, I would try to look for the man that killed my parents. I know it's ridiculous, how can I hunt down a monster if I can't even protect myself but I'd figure things out. I always do besides I'm too stubborn to die. For some reason despite all the shit that happened to me, I always end up alive. I just hope that I survive this current situation I'm in. I don't want to be scared but for Liam to take us all the way to Romania means this is more than I can imagine.

I had no idea what to expect when we got to Romania but not even in my wildest dream would I consider what was happening right now is true. Suddenly a car blocked the limo that we were on and a man jumped into the roof of the limo. Things happened so fast that I just remember myself screaming at the top of my lungs. Things unfold in front of me like a flash flood. It swept me off without warning and just dragged me along with no way to escape. I saw blood and people being thrown away from me. Then I lost consciousness. 

I woke up in a room with Natasha, Hendrick and Liam. I was laying in a sofa and they were on the other end of the living room. Then the memory of what happened flash backed to me. I saw them transformed into vampires. We were attacked by tons of blood thirsty vampires. And now they were here sitting in the room as if nothing happened.

"Patricia, love." Liam was immediately next to me. "Are you okay?"

"Stay away from me!" I screamed and moved away from him.  

"It's okay. We are not going to hurt you." He raised his hands in surrender. 

"Stay away from me." I stumble to the floor and grab the lamp shade at the corner. "Don't come near me." I throw the lamp at him when I saw him moving closer.

"Patricia, you have to calm down. Listen to me." He said calmly. 

"No, stay back." I screamed and run to the door but Hendrick blocked it.

"Kitten, relax we're not going to hurt you." Hendrick said calmly.

"We are here trying to protect you. So please, save your strength and stop wasting your energy screaming." Natasha stated and slumped on the couch.

"Where's Mikel? What did you do to my best friend?" I stated glaring at Natasha.

"His with Samuel. They are upstairs doing whatever couples do." She replied playfully.

"You guys are vampires." I blurted out. "Are you planning to kill me?"

"If we wanted you dead, you would have been dead the first time you saw me." Hendrick stated. "So please let's all talk about the real situation so we can hunt down that stupid Benedict that killed your parents."

"You know him?" I stared at him. "You'll help me kill him." I didn't realize I was crying until Hendrick embraced me. 

"Sssshh, don't cry. Everything is going to be fine." I embraced him tightly and cried louder.

"Patricia, love." I felt Liam's hand trying to pull me away from Hendrick.

"No! No! Don't touch me." I embraced Hendrick tighter. "Please, don't let him touch me."

"It's okay. Just calm down." Hendrick guided me to where Natasha was sitting. 

"Here." Natasha handed me a glass of wine. "It should help calm your nerves. Liam just don't come near her for the time being I think she's still traumatized about what happened."

"I can see that. But why is she all calm with the two of you. She fucking know that were all vampires here." Liam stated obviously pissed. 

"You did something to me." I stated angrily at Liam. "I can't believe you manipulated my feelings. You fucking hypnotized me that's why I'm acting like a lost puppy whenever you're not around. You fucking messed up with my mind and emotions." I screamed at Liam.

"I didn't do anything to control you. If I can do that then I could have easily compelled you to forget about everything. Compulsion doesn't work on you for some odd reasons." Liam stated obviously pissed at me.

"You did something to me! You made me want you." I stated accusingly.

"The hell! I didn't force you into anything!" He stated angrily. "You fucking enjoyed every second that I fucked you."

"Shut the fuck up, Liam." Natasha slapped Liam in the face so hard that I flinched at the sound. "She's shocked and you can't blame her on whatever comes up in her mind. You can't expect her to take things easily."

"I don't want you near me. I want you all to stay away from me." I stated.

"Kitten, your best shot for you to stay alive is to stay with us. You won't survive without us. Benedict is hunting you down." Hendrick reasoned.

"Why does he want me? Why does he want to kill me? He already killed my parents." I was so confused. "I want the truth. No more secrets, please."

"Fine. You are the last living bloodline of our original maker, Elisabeth." Natasha stated. "She created us and we believe that she left some information behind on how to end our kind to her family."

"What?! So your telling me I'm part vampire. That's it's in my blood." I stated disgusted.

"No but you are related to her besides vampires don't produce offspring." Hendrick replied.

"Okay? Back to the psycho who wants me dead. So he wants to kill me since he thinks I know something that can wipe up your kind. If I had any idea I would have been trying to hunt him down and kill him myself." I stated.

"He doesn't know that you don't know anything. That's why he wants you dead. He wouldn't even care if you know something." Liam retorted.

"Would you guys care?" I asked. "I mean why are you guys trying to protect me. What's the catch?"

"I'm just helping Liam. I honestly don't care that much about Benedict's stupid stunts or protecting Elisabeth's bloodline. Liam wanted to protect you so here I am going with the flow." Natasha stated.

"This situation is serious and we have to help Liam. It concerns all of us." Hendrick stated. "And we all promised to always have each others back."

"So your telling me that Liam wanted to protect me all this time." I stated in disbelief. "You guys just got caught up with the situation.

"I've been trying my best. I 've tried to protect your parents but I was too late. They were already dead when I got there and I almost wasn't able to save you from being murdered by Benedict." Liam stated defeatedly. "All I want to do is to keep my promise to Elisabeth that I would protect her bloodline. I couldn't break that. That's the least I can do for her sacrifice."

"You broke it the moment you messed up my life." I stated annoyed at him.  "If you haven't tried to seduce me then I wouldn't be in this mess." 

"Seduce you? You were all over me even before I made a move on you." Liam blurted out angrily. "The only time I messed up was when I sent Stanley to you. That asshole was the one that seduced you and brought you to the masquerade. I had to end his fucking life when I found out he used you. You almost died because of him."

"Yeah, right? If you haven't sent him to me, I would have been living a normal. Scott wouldn't be dead. The hell, I might already been married to Scott and have kids by now. " 

"Fine. keep blaming me for the things that happened to you but never forget the fact that you could have been dead the night your parents were killed. You could have been dead the night at the masquerade. And you could have been dead tonight if it wasn't for me." Liam screamed angrily at me. "I'm the only reason you still alive." He stormed out the room with murder in his eyes.

"I need to calm down, Liam. We wouldn't want him on a killing spree." Hendrick stated as he run after Liam.

"Well, darling as for you." Natasha stated while looking at me. "Follow me. You need to rest and try not to think about what the hell is happening."

"Natasha, I'm not sure if I can trust any of you to be honest." I stated while following her.

"You have no choice." She replied as she let me in a bedroom. "Besides, you won't survive without us. So just make sure to stay in this room at all time and please don't try to sneak out. You might run into some blood thirsty vampires on your way out."

"Yeah, right?" I rolled my eyes at her. "Does compulsion really doesn't work on me?" I asked before Natasha can leave.

"He is in love with you." She replied shaking her head before leaving. "Lock the door."

I lay in bed trying contemplate the things that are happening after locking the door. Vampires exist and I'm now staying in a mansion surrounded by vampires. Shit, I've been living with vampires and I've never noticed. I have to get out of here. There was no way I'm going to trust any of them. I had to pretend that I was cool with Natasha and Hendrick but with Liam I can't hide my feelings. 

How can he do that to me? I can't believe that he manipulated me and used me. I can't believe that I was starting to fall for him. Or was it just because of a voodoo that he did. But I can't leave Mikel. There was no way that he is okay with this. Did he know that they were vampires and just kept it from me or did they hypnotize him?

I couldn't sleep. I tossed and turn in the bed for hours. My mind is so confused with all the questions running in my head. I want to leave but Natasha was right I might just end up bumping into a blood thirsty vampire. I guess this is the best place for me to stay for now. And hope that no one barge in the door and try to kill me.

"Baby girl." Mikel 's loud voice and a knock on the door woke me up.

"Oh my gosh. You're okay." I hugged him tightly the moment I open the door. "I was so worried about you. Did they hurt you?" 

"No, I'm fine." I drag him in the room and locked it.

"We have to get out of here. We can't stay here." I stated anxiously.

"Calm down. We have to stay here. They are here to help you." Mikel stated.

"What?! We can't trust them. They are the same monsters that killed my parents. And they are saying that I'm the last surviving bloodline of their makers. They are insane." I blurted out.

"I know their vampires, Trish. But they are here to help you. They won't harm us."

"They did something to you. How can you be okay with staying with monsters like them? We can't just lay our guards down and trust that they won't kill us the moment they starve or something. They are vicious monsters. I saw them killing humans and murdering my parents."

"You can't just judge them in general. We've been with them several weeks now and they've been nothing but kind to us. And Trish I love Sam. I don't care if his human or not. I just came here to talk you and tell you that we have to stay with them. Whoever is out there is more dangerous than the creatures we are with now." He lectured.

"How long have you've know that they weren't humans?" I looked at him in disbelief.

"For a couple of weeks now. I mean couldn't tell you since I know you hated vampires and you seem to be moving on. I thought that it would be best that you didn't know your best friend is in love with a vampire."

"Oh shit. I fucked a vampire. You fucked a vampire." I blurted out. "What the hell is wrong with us?" 

"Oh come on, don't act like it wasn't the best experience you had."

"I don't know. The fact that I have no idea if whatever I'm feeling now is real or it's because of something Liam did to me id driving me insane. They did something to Mikel. Scott told me. Do you even remember who Stanley is. They erased him from your memory." 

"I already remember everything. Just before I got here Liam told me to remember and I did. I know about Stanley and how I introduce you two. I remember everything including having Luna pretend to be your guardian. Liam wants to show you that you can trust them. I think you should. You cant just runaway and try to live a normal life. You have to wait until everything is fixed." He reasoned.

"How can you be sure that you really love Sam and that he isn't playing with you. Or using you. I remember seeing bite marks on your neck. His feeding on you."

"I love him, I know that for a fact because I volunteered that he feeds on me. There's a connection that I can't explain whenever he feeds on me. A few drops is all he gets. They normally get supply from blood banks."

"I can't believe all this time you guys where playing. But I still trust you, Mikel. You'd never betray me. But once all of this is over I'm going back to my normal life and I hope that you also do that." I embraced him tightly.  "I'll stay as long as you're here with me."

"I love you. Everything would be okay." He kissed my temple and I locked the door the moment he left.
