Erin’s pov

Light Angelov! There is something about this man I can't shrug off, not intentionally. He is a charming, young and famous guy who is rocking his fame with his cases. His physique is well built and maintained, even I can notice his biceps popping out under the sleeves of his rolled up shirt.

Wait! What am I thinking? Am I describing a man like a woman? What the hell is wrong with me?

“Are you okay? I noticed that you were quiet since we reached this amazing cafe.” Light said while gesturing at random places in the cafe.

“Yes, I am good and so does this place.”

I don’t get his words in a suitable manner, like he thinks I am a lost minded personality.

“Nothing , just some shit happened with me.” I press my lips into a flat line.

Light observes me but stays quiet, “Shit happens but we have to find a way out to clean the mess.” he states.

“Yes! You are right  but my life is fucked up. I can’t concentrate.” i want to explain him things further but i am nervous and anxious if he finds me stupid.

“Just like I told you earlier, if you want to take some time to reconsider about this case then you can take your time. But, don’t get late. Things will go pretty hard if you come late and maybe I can't help you that time.”

I keep my head low and think deeply about it. I am taking a big risk going against my parents and I am not sure if I will win this case.

“My wife cheated on me!” I blurted out.

“Okay!” Light shows some interest.

“I loved her! I can’t believe why she did that to me? I tryna give her everything I Can. i worked my ass hard to get her every damn thing but now it’s gone. She cheated on me and she blamed it on me too.” I cry, I actually cry.

Light stares at me, and I don't want to know what he is thinking. Suddenly he held my hand, and I met my gaze with his.

“Listen, Erin! I can help you but you have to be honest with me. I take those cases Where I am sure the victim is telling the truth and I Can see the truth in your eyes.”

I sigh and clear my senses, “okay! I am willing to tell you everything!” I smile.

“Sure! But we can’t talk here. I need to ask you some personal questions, so tomorrow at my office?” he asks.

“It will be great.” I smiled at him.

Oh, man! His smile is so charming, I am sure many girls are dying to marry this guy.

“11 am!” he winked at me and we left the cafe. He went on his way and I went on mine.

I reached home by evening and found the primary entrance broken. I rushed inside and find Malina ordering some random men to pick the furniture of our house, my house!

“Hey! What are you doing?” I ask in an aggressive tone.

“Low down your voice, Erin. if you can’t raise your dick then you have no right to raise your voice on me.” Her words broke my pride.

“You!!” I grit my teeth.

“What? I am here to take my stuff that doesn’t belong to you. Anyway, there is nothing much you ever earned to lose.” she smirks wickedly and i watched her face in disbelief.

Is that really my wife? She can’t be.

“Dare you take one thing out of my house and I will make you regret everything, i swear.” i hiss.

She laughed loudly, “the pussy finally spoke up for the last time. I am afraid of your empty threats. I will take everything from here.”

She calls someone inside and a man in a suit and tie enters my house. I recall him and he is the guy my wife cheated on me.

“Meet Simon! He is my lawyer! He will explain everything to you.” she makes a smugly face before disappearing from the place.

I glare at him, “get out from my house.”

“I can’t! I have things to discuss with you.”

“Say!”

“Oh! So, here is the divorce paper and agreement that you have to sign before finalising the divorce officially.”

“What the fuck?” my jaw drops to the floor.

“Malina wants fifty percent share of your ancestral property that belongs to you, and you will give her forty percent of your salary every month for her child care.” he smirks.

“What? She is pregnant?”

“Yes, she is but the baby won’t get your name.”

“Doesn't matter at all, I know it’s your child, asshole.” I grit my teeth.

“Well, I told you the conditions and you have to sign these papers within 2 weeks before the court gives his judgement. Good luck to you.”

Simon left as well, and I stood on my place like a fool. It felt like the ground slipped beneath my feet. Everything happened in a scant time that I couldn't hold a single thing in my hand.

She already filed for a divorce. Light was right, the things will get pretty hard if I lose the time I had.

I can’t let her win, I have to prove my innocence. There is only one way to go and I am leading the path. There is no back out in this because she has pushed me so far in this game but i will keep my pace.

I pulled out my phone and dialed the number from which I received Light’s call. After a few rings, he picked the call.

“Hello?”
