After a month of hearing the reports he decided to see everything himself. When he arrived near the woman's courtyard it was already nightime. He silently approach behind the maid who is guarding outside the bedchamber and hit certain acupuncture points to have the maid fall asleep.

He went inside the bedchamber and sees the woman sleeping. This past month he was distracted that he can't finish the tasks given by his brother and easily getting distracted while reading the reports. This woman is a hindrance in executing his plans.

'Should I kill her to stop the distraction building up? However doing so will anger the old man and Qi Ming...'

He was about to leave as he is undecided what to do to her when she heard her mumbling words to not leave her behind and she'll be a good girl.

Feeling stressed on how to make the woman to stop having nightmares he started to roughly pat the top of her head. Eventually the woman stops mumbling but still have a pained expression on her lovely face. Thinking that maybe he pats her head too hard he started to try his best to gentle, he didn't notice that as Xiuying's face relax his lips started to have a gentle smile and his eyes revealed a glint of satisfaction in making the woman sleep well.

After few hours he decided to leave reluctantly, he is satisfied in staying beside the girl but he needs to go or her reputation will be tainted. He fixed the duvet to cover her body only to show her head before gently run his fingertips on her left cheek.
