Alan:

I could not believe the girl sitting in front of me. What kind of game she was playing? Looking at her though, it did not look like she was lying. I wondered to trust her. Did I really get myself a real friend?

I was happy, confused and irritated at the same time. She looked innocent and probably would not gain any benefit being with me. When I asked her if she really wanted to hang out, I expected her to decline but she so casually inclined. I was amazed, truly.

After she was done reading she looked at me with a smile. So many mysteries lurked in her posture, I wondered who she truly was. The new student I heard from the rumors was said to be Dora's cousin. I thought before that wow, I was going to get a new victim, a new prey, foolishly thinking itself as a predator like others. But she turned the complete opposite.

"A penny for your thought." She said, looking straight in my eyes, without jerking away like all the girls I usually met did.

I raised a brow, not replying until after a minute, "Nothing that concerns you."

I was being rude. Expecting her to shout at me or scrunch her face in disgust or drop her so called being nice facade just for a minute. Yet, she did not. Her smile was still the same. A beautiful shape of plum red. Her charcoal hair complementing her beautiful lips..... Wait! What in the world I was thinking? Ah, freak! Was this called loving the girl who was kind to you? But that just happens in the stories! She just came in my life out of no where and I was second guessing of making her my friend now.

"Want ice cream?" She asked suddenly, making me once more focus on her.

"What, where did that come from?" I asked frowning.

"You look in deep thinking process. Still comprehending if I'm real or not or just a facade? Chill bro, ice cream may make your all problems go away."

Now she was totally acting weird.

"Howcome, can an ice cream make me forget my problems?" I interrogated. What was she upto suddenly?

"Well, it makes me calm so I thought it can give you some peace too."

"Okay?" I spoke confused.

"Let's go then!" She exclaimed.

"Where?"

"To the ice cream shop off course."

I could only nod when she dragged me with her. Not knowing surely as to what was going on her mind, I followed her.

She took me inside a cafe, not so much far away from school and we reached there after a five minute walk.

As we entered, suddenly there was a blasting noise. I looked up and saw rose petals falling on us. "Congratulations!" Said a waitress.

I looked at Fara, her small pale hand was still grasping mine. Fitting a bit too perfectly. She took a glance at me, confusion was totally written on our faces, that I knew at least.

The waitress looked at us smiling widely and spoke, "Awe look at you two love birds! You are our special third couple of today as we are celebrating our little cafe's 20th anniversary. If you agree to take a couple picture, you will be given free discount on the special latte and free couple ice cream!"

My eyes widened. Oh no, they misunderstood! I was about to decline but Fara spoke before me, "Ooo, can I have any flavor I like?"

Tell me you were kidding, honestly what was going on, I did not know anymore.

"Yes, any flavor you like." The waitress said.

" Okay! I accept the offer." 

I looked at Fara as if she had gone crazy. She did not even care to ask me.

Ignoring my daggering eyes, she gave me a smile and dragged me to take a couple picture.I was supposed to be a bad boy! I was supposed to push her away but then why I was feeling warmed? What was this unusual feeling?

I was never this speechless in my life. Never had to feel this unusual to be honest. We both stood closely together. I could actually smell her strawberry mint musk. I closed my eyes, inhaling deeply.

Many women and girls came in my biker club. All wanted to be close to me but I knew better to be some playboy. I pushed them away, not caring a tiny bit if I hurt them or not. I had to tongue tie myself sometimes to feed the growing fire inside me for personal reasons. But why I could not push away this foolish woman who so eagerly entered my life out of no where to be exact? Why I had this feeling to be close to her.

I was definitely not in love. Maybe I liked her even though she seemed so mysterious, so weird. As if not even showing her real self. I just had that feeling. Maybe I could discover this woman, maybe I finally found a friend.

The click of camera was heard. I instantly came out of my sub conscious state of mind. "Awe, look what a perfect picture. He looks so in love with you honey." The waitress said motioning her camera to Fara.

What the frick! I looked in the camera and saw myself looking at Fara with a small smile while she looked ahead, making a sign of peace and smiling widely. Fara suddenly scrunched her eyebrows in amazement. A small giggle escaped her lips. Not irritating me at all. It was not highly pitched like other women. I was always annoyed by others laugh as I rarely smiled but hers just calmed my heart.

The waitress asked us to take a seat as she clipped our picture on the colourful, decorative, soft board with other pictures of people. 

"Which flavor do you want?" Fara asked.

"Is monster cookie chocolate okay with you?" Why do I even care if she would say no? I grumbled inside my head.

Not many had the same taste as me and surely most of the rich people hated that taste. "Sure!" She exclaimed and ordered.

We ate our ice cream in the big bowl. She was right, ice cream surely calms you. But deep in my heart I knew, I was just growing fond of this weird, mysterious girl.
