chapter 3

                            Kimberly 

Hearing clapping, I look around the training ground not realizing that everyone here has been watching Lilly and me. 

"Sorry about that." I look back down at Lilly, removing the blade from her neck. I look at her wounded front leg. I tried not to cut too deep, just deep enough where she couldn't stand and put any weight on it.

Lilly fur is slowly replaced by skin as she shifts back, covered in bruises, holding her wounded arm. "It's okay,  I'll be as good as new in no time," Lilly says with a smile. Since the first day I met Lilly, she has always had this glow to her. It's never a time when I haven't seem a smile on her face.

I reach down, helping her up from the ground as another pack warriors bring her over a shirt. 

"I'll be looking forward to a rematch," Lilly says, pulling the shirt over her head. 

"I'll be waiting." I give her a friendly smile that she returns before walking away.

Jason walks over to me, frowning a little, looking at my face. I'm pretty sure I have the marks to show that I've just been in a fight. Lilly landed some good attack, so I'm sure Lilly isn't the only one covered in bruises.

"I'm fine," I tell him. 

I've been training hard every day with Jason and It feels good to see that all that hard training has paid off. Those days of me being this scared girl are long gone. 

Jason reaches down, slowly lifting my bloody shirt up, causing me to wince at the stinging pain. I look down at the bloody claw marks on my side. I felt the pain of Lilly's claws digging into my side, but With my adrenaline pumping during the fight, it didn't hurt as much, but I'm definitely starting to feel it more now. 

"Why is it tingling?" I wince at the pain, looking up at Jason. It feels almost as if ants are moving around underneath my skin.

"You're feeling your tissue and muscles slowly stitching themselves together. You should be completely healed in about an hour, but for now, I'll need to stop the bleeding." He pulls his shirt off, balling it into his hand. 

"This is going to sting a bit." He says, warning me. I give him a nod, preparing myself for the pain. 

He applies pressure on the wound, causing me to wince at the pain.

"You did well against Lilly." Jason looks at me, continuing to apply pressure to the wound.  

"That's because you're a great teacher." Before Jason started to teach me how to defend myself, I was this scared girl who couldn't even throw a proper punch, but that has changed, thanks to Jason.

"I'm going to let you start training here with the pack warriors. For the rest of the pack training session today, I want for you to watch and observe the females. Study their attacks and the way they move. Watch for flaws in their attacks. You will eventually face them all and not all of them will be so easy to beat. You'll win some and you'll lose some, but eventually, your place will be at the top amongst the females." I look around the training ground at the female warriors who are training. 

I've become good friends with many of them and I know I'm going to enjoy training with them all. Training has become like a hobby for me. I enjoy training and learning. And hearing Jason tell me that I will lose against some of them makes me eager to go up against them to better myself.

After hold pressure on the wound for a couple of minutes, Jason pulls the shirt away, causing me to wince a little at the stinging pain. 

I look down at the four bloody claw marks, still feeling the tingling sensation of the wound healing. It feels weird, but I'm sure I'll grow used to it. This is the first wound I've received here and I'm sure it won't be the last. 

While Jason train with some of the males, I watch and observe the females as they train. My eyes follow their fast movements, watching the way they move. They all seem really good.

My attention goes over to the pack warriors training in their wolf form. At times I still get these moments that make me question everything that I ever believed. Just months ago, I thought werewolves were mythical creatures, but now I'm the Luna of a pack of werewolves.

It's just a bit crazy to know that all of this is real and humans are living a clueless life, thinking it's only them out there in the world.

I've been living my life in a small clueless box with the rest of the humans, but now that I know the truth about the world that we live in, it all feels different now.

I look over at Jason, watching him make his way towards me. I look at his shirtless body, that's covered in a light coat of sweat, causing his abs to glimmer under the light of the sun. I push away the thoughts that start to fill my head, knowing this isn't the time or place to start feeling this want towards Jason. 

"How's your wound?" He stops next to me, looking down at my bloody shirt. 

I lift the side of my shirt up, looking down at my side to see that the wound has healed. The only thing there now is a red bruise and dried up blood. 

"Its healed, just sore." I lightly rub the tips of my fingers over the dried up blood and sore bruise. Not too long ago deep bloody claw marks were just there, but now they're gone. This is the first time that I've actually witnessed my body heal at this rate. I look at the bruise, taking in the fact that my body can heal at such a fast rate now.

"The soreness will leave soon," Jason tells me. 

I look at the heal claw marks for a second longer, before letting my shirt down, looking back over at the females who are training.

"They're pretty good." I've been watching and observing the way they move and attack, trying to find any flaws that I can exploit when I go up against them.

"They are good and will only get better. Some of them are still learning just as you are. The older, more experienced females will give you the most trouble when facing them. You will take many beating from them, but it will only help you learn from your mistakes, making you better." Jason tells me as I continue watching the females train.

I'm not afraid. Win or lose, I'm ready and prepared to go up against them all. In the human world, I was this scared weak girl, but I won't be that same scared weak girl here.

Once the pack training session ends for the day, I walk with Jason, heading back to the house. 

As we walk through the streets, all the people that we pass, slightly bow their heads to Jason and me, giving us friendly smiles that I return, while Jason just gives them a slight nod of his head. 

It's still a bit weird to see everyone here react to me that way and address me as Luna whenever they see me, but I'm slowly getting used to it all.

Walking into the house, I head up the stairs to shower and clean the blood off. 

As I shower, I can't stop the thoughts that fill my head, being back in the house and knowing Emma is here because she's pregnant with Jason's baby. Feeling this hurt and anger inside. My tears mix with the water as I stand here letting the slightly hot water fall over me. I place my hand over my mouth, muffling the sounds of my cries as this pain fills me, knowing that Emma is sharing something very special with Jason. With the only person that I've ever loved. The person that I thought would be mine and only mine. I hate her! I hate everything about her. I hate that she's carrying Jason's baby inside of her. I hate that she's here. I hate her scent and the way it lingers in the air around the house. I just hate her!

I had been through a lot, then I met Jason. He was nice and he helped me. I didn't plan on falling in love with him, and I'm sure he didn't plan to fall in love with me either, but it happened. For three months, things were perfect here with Jason. I was finally getting my happily ever after, but I should've expected for something to go wrong. Things always go wrong for me.

Things don't feel the same in our home with Emma being here. I don't feel the happiness that I felt before she came here. All I feel now is hurt, anger, and jealousy when I'm inside this house with her. 

I stand here under the water, letting this hurt spill out through my low sobs and tears. I Don't want to feel this way. I Don't want to feel this pain, but it's there and I can't make it go away.

I just want to be happy the way I was before she showed up here, but how can I be happy with her here, sucking all my happiness away.
