CHAPTER 2

An Unfair Deal II

"Who are you?!" Gloria's voice reached the skies as she cried from the heavy and pain inflicting grip from the hand of an unseen individual. The holder who dragged Gloria through the woods had a mask over his face, leaving his eye open to predictor and prey.

He stumped her back over the bark of a birch plant heavily. Instantly, Gloria got overwhelmed with fear as she pushed her body backwards and turned over to the left side, with traces of tears hanging on her face.

The presumed kidnapper slowly took his hand towards the body of the Gloria who cried for her freedom. Contradictorily, blue lines relating to the liquid which was given to her earlier was seen on her arm, slowly tracing lines as they flowed towards the back of her palm. A blue light dimly illuminated over her cloth on her chest area.

The unseen kidnapper who obviously over powered her raised her gown up and slid his hand up her thigh. "Stop please...stop!" She whispered, begging but as it was seen, he had no hope of stopping.

Gloria closed her eyes tightly as she raised her eyes to the sky and cried to God for forgiveness of her sins and the sin that was about to be committed. "Please!" She yelled again. The light became brighter and suddenly caused a terrific blast. The barks of tress seen around shattered, leaves dried up instantly, and the one who planned on doing the undo had an effect on himself as his right hand slowly began to rot.

"Ahhh!" He yelled from behind his mask, crying out loud. "What have you done to me, you bitch!" He asked with utmost concern as the rotting extended further to his arm.

Gloria panted heavily, almost slipping before she held grip of the tree behind her, as she turned over to keep running for her life with no specific direction of destination.

The unidentified person swiftly took out a knife from one of the three pockets on his garment. Gloria had no idea of what was going on as she ran for her life. He took his left surviving hand and threw the knife through the air towards Gloria.

The same blue lines seen earlier on the wrist and around the chest of Gloria hastily withdrew itself as it ran towards her back. Blue sharp rays of light emitted from her back, pushing Gloria forward unexpectedly. The rays focused towards the blade as they both flew towards each other. The rats ate through the blade slowly and speedily fashioned itself for the man. The blue flares engulfed him and got into his body through all openings seen. What ever power that was, it burnt his soul first as a duplicate of his was seen yelling in pain just as his flesh was and then burnt his flesh to ashes.

Gloria sudden paused as she turned over slowly. An aura of blue flare followed as it was seen hanging around her and over her back.

Confused and unaware of what had happened, she looked around and got an unexpected hit from a figure seen in a nun. Perhaps the one sent by Annie Marie.

Light Fades.

"If I wanted you dead Annie, it will have been a long time ago!" "The days when you lost fate!" "They days when you thought you lost all!" The screeching, bold and fading sound of the demon spoke through Etheriel. Her eyes were suddenly pure red and her face slowly getting crooked, rough and having traces of a demon.

Annie was on her knees with a crucifix in her palm as she murmured words into her palm.

Etheriel, hastily turned over to the nuns by the side. "One quarter, shall live as their fates are as high!" Etheriel vanished and reappeared before the nuns but for an unidentified reason, he didn't harm them.

"The rest, Annie will drag you to hell and bring you to my arms." Said the demon. The hearts of the nuns obviously clenched by the words of the demon, still nothing he said had effect on the praying nun, Annie Marie. "Faith without works are your doings and so count your numbers and take haste for who you think leads you is not who...leads you!" Etheriel added. Suddenly laughter filled the air as she turned into a dark burning smoke and reinstated the empty air before Annie.

”What do you mean? Do you want to eat my flesh, or do you want to have sex with me?” I asked the man. After all, I had read my fair share of trashy romance novels and the term ‘I want to eat you’ was definitely open for interpretation. Perhaps my question was funny, but the man’s hand holding onto the tangerine dropped, and he excitedly asked me, “Why aren’t you scared of me? You’re not even crying!”Of course I was scared! I was so scared I wanted to immediately run down the mountain. Who would want to be with this supernatural thing? If he really wanted to kill me, it would be as easy as killing an ant. However, I could not show him fear since I still needed to trick him into eating the pill later, thus I told him, “You’re so good-looking. Who would be afraid of a good-looking person?”The man smiled and handed the tangerine in his hand to me. He looked to be in a good mood and sat down on a chair next to me. He asked, “Interesting. Why don’t you tell me what looks good about me

This is my second time coming to the city. The first time was about a week ago. The tall buildings and huge roads with so many vehicles, the noise- the city as a whole, would take time to grow on me.However, this visit is different from the last. I won't be going back.I look outside the window as cars zoom past us. The car I'm in is my uncle's. There are boxes beside me, packed with my belongings. It's a four hour drive from my uncle's home and my legs have started cramping. We're almost there, I slightly remember the neighbourhood. It's one of the depressing parts of the city. To be honest, I don't like the place I'm going to live in. The apartments look old and plain depressing. The fact that I'm going to live alone hits me right then. I've been feeling ecstatic since I heard I would finally get to live in a city but now it sinks in.

It takes twoI got home before dawn. Ate dinner with my parents before I clean up and go to bed. I meticulously picked movies in my head. I want to show Nov the movies I've watched because he told me he had never seen the movies I'm talking about. The whirring of electric fan enveloped my room as I struggled to make my self fall asleep. Soft and cold was the pink sheets of my bed and pretty was the stars and moons glued on my ceiling, they glow in the dark. Nov said he would watch a movie with me tomorrow but he said he have to feed their horses since those are the source of their income. We peeked inside the old stubble which is one kilometer walk from their house. I wished I would not have insisted to say good bye to his father before going home. I sighed before I stretch my body. It was numb with fatigue but I did not even realized that earlier. I reached for the alarm clock at my bedside table and set it into 6 A.M.
