"Senior Janet, please it was my mommy that was delaying me."
One of the juniors cried out in annoyance, clutching his bag with tears almost welling up in his lower eyelid. Ada hissed, fed up with the boys behavior; Janet knew Ada was about to say something mean, so Janet stepped in - still in a good mood from what had happened on Saturday.
"Don't worry, just go. Don't sha come late again." She pardoned, giving the boy a sweet smile. "Ah nawa oh, this one you're just letting them get away with it, and don't think I haven't noticed that permanent grin on your face." Ada pointed out once the boy had ran to his class, then up the stairs to attend the assembly.
"What do you mean?" Janet hummed, playing clueless. Ada was right, ever since Friday, she'd had a grin on her face, her mood was touching the sky. Even on a Monday, Janet was still on cloud nine. "Guy yarn me nah, what went down at the party?" Ada groaned, wanting to know what...or who got her best friend so happy.
"You nko? You've not told me about the so called plan you tried on Ope." Janet defended, raising her brows at Ada with a smirk.
They were both downstairs in the hallway, punishing all the latecomers; but of course Janet just let them have their way today. "Okay okay, fine I'll tell you first, you better tell me yours oh." Ada said with an eye roll, leaning on the wall with a wooden ruler in her hands.
"He was playing hard to get."
Ada started, hissing after. Who was playing hard to get? Ope? Janet just pursed her lips, wondering why Ada wanted to get Ope in the first place.
"But he couldn't keep his eyes off me, when I was about to leave him because he was forming hard guy, he now dragged me back. Like guy! I never thought he could be rough like that." Ada said in an excited tone, she showed her perfect teeth with a grin; Janet just laughed at how funny she looked.
So she liked it rough.
"Well I'm not going to say all the details sha...but he whispered some stuff in my ear about how clueless I was to the guys intentions and that I didn't realize how - in his words oh - 'damn good' I looked. I mean, he had me in such a strong grip and all the hot breaths involved and...phew."
Ada gushed, "Nawa oh..." Janet said while laughing, a whole Ada was gushing for Ope of all people. Perhaps he was more than what met the eye. "I'm not saying he's my type but, after Saturday, let's just say I'll keep an eye out." Ada shrugged, using her tongue to push against her cheeks.
Was she blushing?
"He always seems so groggy when I speak about you, saying you're busy with your guys." Janet commented, this made Ada smirk.
"He's annoying sef, anyhow...start talking."
Ada ordered with a straight face. Janet just giggled, her mind playing back to two nights ago. She wasn't one to kiss and tell, but she made an exception for Ada.
"We kissed."
Janet blurted out but Ada just looked at her confused. "You and who?" Ada questioned, tilting her head in emphasis. "Who else nah..." Janet hissed, wanting her to figure it out on her own. It took Ada seconds to realize it, her eyes opened so wide Janet thought it was going to pop out. Ada covered her mouth, shock evident on her face.
"Janet!" She literally screamed.
"Shush nah!" Janet squealed back, rushing to close her mouth; thank goodness they were alone in the hallway.
"Burst brain! You and Damilayo kissed?!" Ada was now whisper yelling, her lips wide as she laughed in a surprised manner. Janet groaned, glaring at her drama queen of a best friend.
"How'd it feel? How did it even happen? Mad oh!" Ada gushed again, she seemed more happy about the news that Janet expected.
"Well...I actually kissed him first."
Ada's jaw dropped open.
"Then he pushed me against the wall and well...we kissed." Janet fumbled with her words, saying it out loud was more embarrassing than she'd have guessed. Ada was still trying to wrap her head around what Janet had just said, the Janet she knew would never initiate a kiss. Konji na bastard.
"Speak of the devil..." Ada whispered, looking behind Janet; the four boys were strolling into school, more than thirty minutes late. When Janet heard her say this, her eyes widened as she swiftly turned her head in Ada's direction.
They all walked in, ever so casually.
Obinna looked like he had gotten ran over by a truck, not literally anyways, he simply looked like crap. Ope looked crankier than usual, he had his bag dragging on the floor as he slouched his shoulders, letting out a loud yawn.
Jaguan, well...she could care less how he looked like at the moment because of her attention was now on the guy she had kissed on Saturday.
Derek.
"Omo, Obi...wetin dey sup?" Ada teased, bursting out laughing. Obinna just flipped her off, sluggishly wiping his glasses. "You guys are late oh...Janet would have to punish you." Ada smirked, looking right at Derek.
The heck?
Derek noticed the stare Ada gave him, but just shook his head with a chuckle. His attention was already on Janet before Ada could say another word. She looks happy. Derek noticed as he eyed the girl who hadn't said a word.
"Guy my head dey bang, bagam bagam bagam." Ope said in a whisper, demonstrating the manner with his hands, this earn a giggle from Janet. "Punish who?" Jaguan snorted.
"It's a joke jorh." Janet hissed, giving him a sassy look, crossing her arms and tilting her hips. "I don't know about them, but I slept like a baby." Derek spoke up with a smirk, his gaze directly on Janet.
"Mhm, I'm sure you did." Ada grinned, silently snickering at the two. "Yeah, you look way better than them right now." Janet joked, glancing at Ope and Obinna.
"Only right now?" He teased back.
Janet shrugged her shoulders with a cheesy smile, "Abeg all of you should be going up stairs." Ada cut off the little play time they were having, waving her hands in the air.
"She how she's even beaming..." Jagun said, walking up the stairs with Obinna following right after. Ope walked over to Ada in slow strides, Janet could see how Ada instantly tensed up.
"No hello?" Ope asked, the space between them shortening. "Go away jorh." That was the thing about Ada, she often played hard to get with certain guys and Ope just happened to be one of them.
Janet's attention went back to Derek, shocked to see that he was already in front of her, towering over the blushing girl.
"Not so innocent omo pastor." He whispered in her ear once he was slouched enough for his head to be close to her neck, his hot breath brushing against her skin.
"Abeg jorh..." She trailed off, pouting her lips as she gently pushed against his chest in annoyance. She really didn't like that nickname, talking of pushing him - he didn't even budge, he just laughed.
"I'm kidding nah..." Derek drew out, his face still close to her neck. "We'll talk later, Janet." He whispered. The way her name rolled off his tongue was more seductive that she could ever do. His tone made her legs feel week, Derek stood straight again, walking with Ope up the stairs. When Janet looked back, she turned to see Ada puffing her cheeks. She usually did this when she felt flustered.
"You're blushing." They said to each other before bursting out in laughter."Like I can even blush." Ada said in a psh tone, crossing her arms over her chest.

The class was rowdy, half of the students in her class looked hung over from Saturday, some were dozing off in their table, while people like Gary seemed to glow. He definitely got some on Saturday...
"All greet!" Janet announced once she spotted the teacher, everyone quieted down, greeting the teacher before slouching back into their seats.
Then a boy walked in.
When he did, all the girls adjusted their sitting position, biting their lips at the eye candy that had just strolled in to SS3A. He was definitely new.
He was a light shade of brown skin, almost yellow. Freckles stained his cheeks and his hair - light brown but in a buzz cut. He was tall too, even Janet was intrigued by the guy that had just walked in.
"This is the new student, he just transferred from...where did you say?" The teacher began but decided to hand it over to the beauty of a boy.
"Uh...hello. I'm Daniel. I transferred from Côte d'Ivoire."
Oh, he had the French accent and everything.
Shalom hummed, showing her interest in the new kid. To be honest, Janet was a bit interested as well.
"I love your accent, Daniel." One of the girls pointed out with a giggle. "Are you single?" Another shamelessly asked and surprisingly, he seemed unfazed by her question.
"Ah...yes I am. Are you?" He bit back as the class laughed, clearly interested in the new guy.
"Ahan as I am in the class! You too you're even replying them, just go and find a seat." The woman sighed, rolling her eyes.
Daniel nodded, walking over to the back, seating at the back of Ada na Janet - since that was the only chair available. "Hello..." The boy trailed off, the French accent dripping from his words. Janet and Ada turned towards him.
"Daniel, I'm Ada." Ada grinned at him, "I'm Janet." Janet decided to introduce herself as well, stretching her hands for him to shake but instead he took them and pressed his lips into the back of her palms.
Okay then...
"Nice to meet you." He grinned, not taking his eyes off her. Ada noticed what he was doing and smirk, shaking her head at the clueless boy.
"You too." She smiled, letting it pass. "Would you mind showing me around?" He asked again, still holding unto her small hands. Compared to Derek's, his were long and slim.
I was actually going to talk with Derek. Janet thought in her head, but when she looked at how hopeful the Daniel boy was, she sighed in defeat.
"Why not?"
When break time had began, people had come to see the new guy for themselves. Girls were all around Janet's table, twirling their hair as they giggled at whatever the Daniel guy said. Janet used the chance to slip away from him, walking over to Derek's seat.
"Ah...hello I'm Daniel." Derek mocked in a fake French accent, chuckling right after as he shook his head. "Don't be a hater." She laughed along with him, pushing against his shoulders with a grin.
"Hater ke? No oh..." He denied, tasing his hands up in emphasis. "So-" Derek began but someone beat him to it.
"Janet!" It was Daniel.
Janet swiftly turn to see the skinny tall boy in front of her, a bit too close for comfort. In attempt to create space between them, she sat against Derek's table, her eyes widened slightly when she felt her ass press against Derek's palms - which were already on the table.
"Oh h-hi." She began, clearing her throat. Derek stalled before removing his hands, but his fingers still lingered against her sides. Daniel caught on to what was happening, he looked over to Derek's finger as it stayed dangerously close to her butt.
He also noticed the grimace Derek had him in.
"Uh...sorry are you guys dating?" He asked with a nervous chuckle, his hands going up to brush the back of his neck. Janet hummed at his question, leaning into Derek touch.
"Oh...um no..." Janet trailed off, a blush staining her cheeks. Daniel seemed elated by her response, his lips forming into a wide Cheshire grin.
"Great, I mean...that's cool." Daniel quickly covered up with a cough. "So how about that tour?" He spoke up once more, this time, Derek rose his eyebrows in confusion.
Janet found herself slightly frowning at his request, she'd rather talk with Derek than be someone's tour guide. "Oh, yeah yeah...sure, let's go." She decided with a sigh, hoping off Derek's table.
Janet gave Derek an apologetic smile, turning her head to the slim boy who grabbed her by the hand, leading her away from a frowning Derek.
"Are you sure you aren't dating?" Daniel questioned her when they were outside, he still had her hand in his, pulling her to his side. When did we meet that he's getting so touchy. Janet thought.
"Why?" Janet asked sassily.
"Because he hasn't stopped glaring at me, geez I'm getting goosebumps." Daniel said, half joking as he stared in the other direction, Janet just laughed nervously, shrugging her shoulders.
The tour was better than she expected, Daniel was quite charismatic; he was quite touchy too, but his humor made up for it. All the while they spent, some girls stared quite enviously at them, whispers filled the halls. It worsened because of how touch and smiley he was with her, when Yinka saw them, she looked dazed as she stared at Daniel.
She even came up to them, twirling her hair and biting her lip. Janet giggled when she remembered how Daniel stared awkwardly, chuckle at whatever she said.
"Thanks for the tour." Daniel said with a wink, they were back in the class and he was still holding her hand. People stared questioningly, wondering when they got so close.
"Janet! The principal is calling you!" One of her set mates called, she sounded out of breath. Everyone looked up at Janet, whispers echoing through the class. She quickly moved away from Daniel, her nerves rising as her the hairs on her hand stood.
Janet was scared because she knew that whenever they called students to the principals office, something bad would have happened in their homes. Her legs were frozen in place, her heart almost beating out of her chest.
"Janet go!" Some students urged her but she was still frozen in place, with a hasty nod, Janet found herself running to the principals office.
The air brushed against her face as she sped through the packed hallway, shoving her way through. Please Lord. She prayed, not even sure what she was praying for.
When she reached the office, the cool air of the AC brushed uncomfortably against her back. The secretary nodded, signaling for her to go through the door.
When she walked in and saw the sad and pitiful look the principal gave her, she sucked in some air.
"Oh Janet...I'm so sorry for your loss."
That was all it took for her to collapse right to her knees.

After getting an understanding of the situation, I hung up the phone. I asked Liu Longting how we should proceed; after all, they were of the same species. Listening to what Ma Jianguo had to say, Liu Longting’s expression remained unchanged. He told me we did not need to prepare anything to deal with that and could head there right away.Ma Jianguo’s house was quite a distance from mine. It was in Tieling, and I did not have a car yet so all I could do was get a train ticket. It was an approximately six-hour journey! I thought that I would have to suffer alone on the train, but unexpectedly just as I was heading out, Liu Longting casually told me to prepare his luggage. He would be sitting on the train with me. That was going to be awkward. I did not mind if he accompanied me, but why would he want to sit on the train with me. Furthermore, I did not have much to talk about with Liu Longting—it would be uncomfortable to sit together. However, since Liu Longting wanted to, I wo
"Wh—what?"Red squinted at the light above her. She was lying on a soft unfamiliari bed, in a room that all seem too bright. She moved her hand up to her face, trying to cover up the sun. Sighing, she pushed herself up. Only to feel a warm feeling on her thigh."Who...Ava?" Her hand was placed on her thigh, head lie low.Red looked around her, unable to stop herself from cursing inside her mind.Fucking hell. Her eyebrows were knitted, eyes set to her roommate and best friend. Why on earth was she here? She held her friend's hand, softly moving it away from her as she struggled to stand—"Ah!""Red!" Ava jolted. "Are you really going to waste your 2 months?"Red gaped at her, "What?!"Ava sighed, "You were in a 10-day coma because you recklessly rode your motorbike."
Tomorrow, I'll be 18 and I will finally be out of this hellhole. I sighed as I scrubbed the floor, sweat dripping from my face into the floor. I can hear the laughter coming from the dining area where my packs were eating dinner except me. Because I am an omega, the weakest of the packs. They thought I was an omega because I never shifted. The truth was, I can shift but I am different from everyone, so I hid my wolf. How did I manage to hide my wolf? Simple. My parents taught me when I was little before they passed away. Because they said I am different from everyone else. My parents died when I was 6 six years old. My father was once an Alpha of this pack but when he died someone took over the pack. And the new Alpha threw me into the barn and lived as an omega. And I grew up cleaning after their mess. Since then, I
