"I'm sorry Kiel! I'm really sorry!" 

I was biting my lower lip while applying an ice on his face. I threw my shoe so hard and it landed exactly on his face that it leave a red mark.

He took a glimpse on me. "It's okay. Let me do it." He said in a soft voice before he stole the ice from me and quietly leaned against the counter top.

I didn't protest and let him do it. 

I merely looking at him. "What are you doing in the fridge? Hungry? What do you want to eat?"

"Putting the mangoes I brought," he answered, calmly. Didn't even bother to look at me. My gaze shifted beside of the fridge. Oh, Shanna! I didn't even notice that sack earlier. 

I gasped. "Oh, I though—"

I didn't finish my sentence when my phone rang. It's my mom so I immediately excuse myself and answered it.

[Shanna! We forgot to tell you! I think your brother already in the house. Have you met him?"]

"Y-yes, mom." I even mistaken him as a thief! I felt bad because I even hurt him.

[All right. I'm on my way home from grocery. Wait for me. Also, help him to unpack his things.]

"Wh— Oh. I almost forgot." I lightly hit my forehead. It's been two years already. He's going to live here like he what he promised 2 years ago. Why it did slipped in my mind? I sighed heavily. "Yes, mom. I'll help him."

My eyes darted on his things. Seems like he went straight to the kitchen that's why I didn't saw his things when I entered the house. Mom really gave him a spare key. 

[Looks like he surprised you, huh. Okay, I'm going to drive now, love you.] 

"Okay. Take care. I love you."

I sighed heavily once again and cocked my head where my brother is. It's been 2 years since I last saw him. He's been living in their province and I assumed he didn't get much of time for himself. His hair was long that the one side of his face was almost covered his bangs. He's wearing faded grey shirt and black jeans. Honestly for me, it's already out of the trend. Like what I saw 2 years ago, he always wearing his silver necklace.Trademark of people living in the province? 

I guess he's always staying under the sun? He had now a tan skin tone. He's about to have a same skin tone of Third!

I glanced back on his face. I pouted when I remembered what happened earlier. 

Until I realized he's looking at me too. My eyes quickly widened. "D-don't tell it to mom!"

He slowly nodded and shifted his gaze to something else. The side of my lips rose. 

I walked towards his things. "Let's bring these to your room already."

He quietly put down the ice in sink and walk towards me. He grabbed the two suitcase and he's about to take the bag when I stopped him.

"Let me carry it. That must be heavy." I pointed out the two suitcase he's holding.

He looked at me for a second before he shrugged and gave me the bag. 

He started walking so I followed quietly on his back.

"How's you life there? Your school? Was everything all right?"

It's dinner time. Since my brother is going to live here, my mom prepared a bunch of delicious foods to celebrate it. That's why he went to grocery. My mom's face lightens up when he saw my brother. She even hugged him so tight. She really missed him.

Now we all having dinner together, Mom got a bunch of questions for him.

We were all happy because of him. Especially me. I'm not alone anymore in the house when my parents are not around. 

Dad reached her hand. "Wifey, calm down."

Mom chuckled. "Oh sorry." She paused for a second. "So?" she asked, waiting for his answer.

Our heads turned to him. Good thing that the red mark wasn't visible anymore.Yes!

He smiled before he spoke. "Things were all right. I didn't encounter any problems from my study and work. I finished my junior high school, thank God," he explained in a most calming way. 

I gasped. He's really a good student. Studies over everything. Meanwhile his younger sister had already a boyfriend. I felt guilt... a bit.

Mom enthusiastically clasped her hands. "That's good! I'm so proud of you! Now you're here, you wouldn't worry about work and the only thing that you're allowed to do was to focus on your study! Me and your Tito Gregorio will do everything, we'll provide your needs to finish your study this year," she formed a genuine smile. 

"How..about your father?" Dad tried to sound gentle. 

He smiled at us before shifting his gaze to his foods. "Still the same," His smile faded away. "Life still revolved in pleasure,"

There was a long silence prevailed until Mom broke it. 

"Your life will completely change here, my son." she assured, trying to lift up also the awkward mood. "Until you're here, until you're part of this family, you'll never experience what have you done there. You can do what you want as long as it... good." she reached for his hand. It made him to looked up. He showed a small smile.

My mom was really kind.

"Shanna will help you to adjust in your new environment. For the meantime, I only want you to be with your sister all the time. Especially, you're going to the same school with her," she added, smiling. 

"Uh, yeah, I had a 3 friends, you could join us," I chimed in. He glanced at me, "...If you want," I continued, smiling awkwardly. Honestly, I wasn't sure about it. I knew what happened 2 years ago when my friends met him.

Dad chuckled. "That's a good idea, my daughter," he glaned at my brother. "I know you already met them. They're funny and kind. You won't feel out of place with them," 

"That's true!" I agreed. Dad winked at me, it made me giggled. 

He only smiled at us. Does he agree? Is he willing to join our squad? I crinkled my eyes a bit. Geez. Why he is so quiet?

"Oh, I forgot. Your requirements were already done. You can go to school within this week," 

"Really, hubby?" Mom asked, blinking.

He chuckled. "Your husband is a principal, wifey. Fortunately, The principal in Shanna's school was happened to be my friend. All went so easy,"

Oh, that's great. Finally, I have someone to go to school with. By the way, what's his section?

"But I don't want him yet to go to school this week. He needs rest. Can he make it next week? Is that all right?"

Dad nodded. "That's not a problem. It's valid since he's a transferee. He can do it," 

I glanced at him. He's only looking at them in a serious mode.

"Okay. Next week," he politely replied. 

"That's good," Mom smiled at him. 

"All right, let's eat," Dad said. 

We happily started our food. We had one fine dinner for the first time with my brother.

"Hey! Shanna Imperial!"

"Were we really friends? Why didn't you tell me that your brother is already here?!" she exclaimed, she put her arms over her chest, her brows met. I put down my pen and closed my binder. 

I consciously rubbed my forehead. Argh! I forgot to inform them about my brother. We had a good night last night because of my brother. We had a long conversation, storytelling or whatsoever you call it, about his life there. Obviously, we didn't realize that it's almost midnight. 

But wait...

My brows furrowed, "So, how did you know?"

It was impossible for her to saw my brother today. He'll only be here by next week.

Her eyes widened. "What?! Seriously? Are you really his sister? He's in the gazebo right now! Crowds were starting to form because of him!" 

My eyes widened and quickly stood up. "What?!"

Elisse and I immediately run towards there. She's telling the truth. There's a bunch of girls screaming and jumping. My lips parted when suddenly the noise slowly fading away. 

We had to huddle with people to see what's really happening and glad we made it, we were now in front.

My eyes widened as I covered my mouth when I saw my brother, wearing our uniform while standing straight, emotionless looking with the girl in front of him. 

And that made me astonished more. 

"Do you want to be my... boyfriend?" Clara, the campus crush, bit her pouty lips as she twirl her hair while gazing at him in seductive way. 

He stared at her for a moment. I gulped as I stared his lips, waiting for his answer. Until finally, he response. 

"No."

Everyone gasped in his answer. Suddenly, the noise returned. I could hear now some murmuring and laughing around. 

I looked away as I covered my mouth, resisting myself from laughing. But when Elisse abruptly laugh on my side, I couldn't hold back my laughter anymore.

Who wouldn't? Clara's world literally stopped. Her eyes widened and he's looking now at him in disbelief. 

"W-what? But why?!" she hissed, looking more embarrass.

He surveyed her for a second. He shrugged, after. "You're not that pleasant to look at," he answered before he made his way out, like a King. 

Clara shed a tear. Later on, her friends comforted her. 

The crowds made more a thundering noise.

I shook my head. I followed him with my eyes. For the first time in history the promdi boy rejected the most beautiful, sexy student in our campus.
