in amuaka village Nnenna could be seen tossing and turning on the mat she was sleeping on when she felt drops of cold liquid on her body .

 she stood up and screamed"chineke mooo" only to find her cousin Amaka staring at her with an empty bucket of water it then dawned on her that it was Amaka who poured water on her.she asked Amaka what she did wrong instead of receiving an answer she got two hot slaps from her

Nnenna's point of view

my name is Nnenna I'm 16 years old, I have been totured severely in this house ever since my parents died,my aunt and uncle moved into our house with their daughter Amaka.

 After treating me nicely for a week they began to show me their true colors, even though my uncle Emeka my aunt's husband tried to stop them it yielded no results because he was also one of their victims aunt chioma controls her husband.

 Amaka on the other hand is a replica of her mother, she seems to get joy in seeing my tears.

 I left the room to greet my aunt and her husband she answered me rudely but I wasn't surprised I am used to their troubles and the painful ordeal. I took my bucket to go to the stream to fetch water.

on my way I saw my best friend chisom ,we said our greetings and walked to the stream.when we got their we met Adamma and Ngozi who are friends of Amaka ,they are fond of insulting me and accusing me of killing my parents.

they stated insulting me but I simply ignored them chisom was about to retaliate but I pleaded with her to ignore them, chisom always defends me whenever I'm in trouble.we fetched our water and started going home

Aunt's chioma's POV

Ezinne thought she was wise but I'm wiser I was the one who killed her and her husband Ebuka !! 

I was jealous of her because she always told me everything they had the house and three farmlands I was jealous of Nnenna because she is more beautiful than my daughter I will make her life a living hell,

 I will either poison her same way I did to her stupid parents or frame her up and send her out of this house.

20 mins later

Nnenna

I got home and met Amaka gisting with her friends chinenye and ozioma , immediately they saw me they bursted into laughter.

out of nowhere I felt three strokes of cane on my back only to turn and find aunt chioma fuming she started flogging me I was pleading with her but she paid deaf ears.she asked me why I wasted 3 hours to go and fetch water but I was gone for only thirty minutes .

I tried explaining but she didn't listen instead she told me that I wouldn't eat till in the evening.she told me to wash all the clothes in the house both the neat and dirty ones .I didn't complain because if I did I wouldn't eat till the next day

Amaka POV

I hate Nnenna she's just too beautiful people prefer her to me I will make sure I make her cry every single day .she must do every chores in this house

Nnenna's POV

Aunt must be in a very good mood today she asked me to eat

to the extent of telling me to eat before she comes back.

I would have  waited until she comes back before eating dinner, without meat.

it seems she has decided to change her evil ways.

Amaka's POV

Why Will my mother tell Nnenna to eat before she comes back,

it's like Nnenna wants to also take away my mother's love just like she made everyone love her more than they love me .

I will make sure she pays , she must receive the beating of her life when my mother comes back.

10 mins later

Nnenna. Amaka ,Amaka, Amaka come and collect your food dinner is ready.

Amaka. What is it ,why are you screaming and shouting my name like a mad person .

Nnenna I was just calling you to give you your food.

Amaka. 

Make sure you give me enough food and three pieces of meat .

Nnenna. 

I can give you enough food but not three meats because aunty would beat me.

Amaka. Is it your food or your father's meat , everything belongs to my parents .

Nnenna had no choice so she gave her all she asked for.

Uncle Emeka's POV

I need to go and visit my brother in the neighboring village .

I have to ease my self of chioma's constant troubles.

I was done with my preparations, when Nnenna brought my food,

I really feel for her, but I can't do anything to help her .

Nnenna's POV

I was going to the kitchen to eat my food when Amaka started shouting my name, I ran to her and asked what happened ,

she asked if I wanted to kill her by adding too much pepper and salt to the soup,

 I tasted it but it was okay.

I realized it was one of her ways of causing troubles .

I left her quietly and went to the kitchen to take my food.

While I was eating I saw her coming towards my direction, 

she came close to me dipped her hand into my soup and took my meat and ate it .

I asked her why she did that instead of answering , 

she raised her hand to slap me , but I was fast enough to hold her hand,I twisted it and dropped it angrily.

Nnenna,. 

Don't you ever think of laying your filthy hands on me or you would regret it .

Uncle Emeka

I was hearing voices from outside,I hope Amaka hasn't started with her troubles ,I rushed outside and met her insulting Nnenna.

Amaka what is happening??

It none of your business you wretched and jobless fool Amaka said .

Nnenna

I never expected Amaka to go to the extent of insulting her father.

Nnenna. .why Will you insult uncle??

Amaka ,, it none of your business,I even have a father to insult what about you whose useless and jobless parents are dead.

Uncle Emeka could not bare the fact that his own daughter had the guts to insult him.

He left the house after telling Nnenna he was going to see his brother.n

Nnenna could not tolerate Amaka insulting her late parents , 

she gave Amaka two resounding slaps!! Amaka was perplexed, she didn't expect Nnenna to retaliate.

Nnenna POV

I left the scene angrily to my room , I knelt down to pray to God to please bring my suffering to an end . 

I know I would be in soup for slapping Nnenna but I just couldn't take it anymore.

Amaka's POV

I was surprised that Nnenna could slap me,my cheeks still hurts from the slap, but phase 1 of plan has been executed but when my mother comes back I will carry out the final face of my plan.

9:00 PM

Aunt chioma was back from visiting her friend she was coming into the house when Amaka saw her she started crying , 

it was time for her to execute her plan .
