chapter 5

The night is in tranquil silence.

Six persons sleeping in the room were in a deep slumber. In the comfortable double-deck bed on top, Nathan was sleeping peacefully while on the lower was Zitrey. On the other side of the room, Keith is on the top, while Yui and Nikka were sharing the bed together in the bottom. Then Lance with the thick, soft futon are on the floor in between them.

Feeling the familiar sensation on his body, Nathan woke up, half asleep. He climbs down out of his bed while his eyes were still closed, he then went to the bathroom to pee. Afterwards, when he already finished his business, he came out still with his eyes closed, half awake, towards the bed and instantly laid down in sideways. However, he was on the wrong bed! He was on, Zitrey!

Nathan then puts himself at rest on Zitrey’s soft pillow, thinking it was his. Then moved forward getting himself to be comfortable, but Zitrey was also sleeping sideways facing him! His head moves towards Zitrey and when he settled, their faces are already inch apart and their nose is about to contact each other, moreover, in one extra move their soft lips will touch! 

Zitrey suddenly frowned when she felt the foreign warm breath that touches her skin, but what unexpected was her stiff face were in relax, when she smelled the luscious scent of Nathan. After a few seconds, the two sleep together placidly. Like they just found a perfect thing to make their restless mind to fall in tranquility.

A ringing sound is coming from the smartphone that is vibrating located near the head of Lance. Lance wakes up and grope the thing on the floor and try to turn off it. He always wakes up 4 in the morning to do his daily exercise routine. He then sits up and stretch his arms, and completely opened his eyes. But he was surprised when he looked around. From left and to the right, he saw 2 pair of persons are hugging each other. Yui and Nikka on the left and Nathan and Zitrey on the right.

“WHAT THE H*CK!” Lance exclaimed loudly. 

Making Keith to wake up too. He gently rubs his eyes and looked around and in a split of seconds his face just blush. Lance stared at him, “We’re the only one leave behind, do you want a hug too?” making Keith shudder while eyes are widening. He then immediately hugs himself in grossness.

Suddenly, a flying pillow landed firmly in Lance face, bull’s eye, and followed by Nikka’s voice, “D*mn! So loud.” and hugged Yui once again.

Lance face seems turns red and his smooth forehead were exposing green bulging veins. Madly, he gets the pillow out of his face. Then in the next second with all his strength he throws it back to Nikka, but the one who was hit straight in the face was Yui as he suddenly sits up, although it was a soft pillow the impact was still painful. Yui lips curved downward, but he tried not to cry, only that, his tears fall down involuntarily. Nikka instantly saw it, this made her completely awake and without further ado, she threw back the pillow to Lance. This turned into a pillow fight.

The pillow was almost torn apart and the insides are about to come out from the fight between these two, within their fight Kieth was hit too, so he tried to join because to his eyes they are having fun. At the same moment of his threw, Nathan woke up because of the commotion, and also Zitrey. But the worst is, the one who sits up is Zitrey and she right away hit by the pillow. These made everyone to freeze, even Nathan, who was currently questioning himself why he was on Zitrey’ bed. “Did we just hug?!” he then blush.

“Oh, no…” Nikka uttered.

When Zitrey slowly get out the pillow to her face with such a strong grip, everyone gulped in fear. In the next second, she shouted infuriatingly, “ALL OF YOU GET OUT!”

“This is your fault.”

“No, this is yours.”

Nikka and Lance are still on this, even though they are already outside. Facing the door with a pillow on each of everyone’s hands. Zitrey kicked them all out, without favoring anyone. 

Yui was staring at the two, who was still arguing like cat and dogs. Then, noticing that all attention of Nikka was on Lance, throbs Yui’s heart. His body moves in between them, making the two to stop their nonsensical argument and move a little bit on the side. Yui then comfortably sit beside Nikka like a kid who wants to pamper. He then put a pillow beside him while slowly pushing Lance to go away, to leave them. 

Lance just stared at him blankly, then thought, “What the f*ck is the problem of this dude.” but he didn’t argue more and move aside far away from them. Even if the outer appearance of Yui is cute and look like a weakling his tremendous height still make you feel a bit of fear.

Everyone was in the hallway and in their pajamas, they can’t go in, likewise in another room as they were kicked out in a split of seconds without getting anything inside other than their tore pillow that they used to play. So here they are sitting in the hallway facing the door of Zitrey as they won’t be let inside.

Nathan yawned widely as he was still sleepy and asked Kieth to share his pillow, this boy willingly shared it. They too become buddies as Nathan greatly grateful that he met someone who was at the same height as he that was a first year! Then they sleep in this hallway with a blanket that Kieth managed to get. Nikka and Yui yawned too, and cuddle each other to sleep while leaning on the wall. The poor Lance stands up and decided to do his daily routine of exercise every morning as he was left alone once again.

Zitrey, who was inside looked was looking at the crystal bell intently while opening the files on her smartphone from the flashdrive that William given. She scanned it down and look at everyone’s information, she was looking for someone living in the District 11. She knows every Professor on the Lumeire and did a background check before enrolled at the school and there is no one living in the District 11 nor displaying this kind of bell on their table inside the faculty room, and so she was absolutely sure it was a student just like her, “This time I can catch you Nimble shadow.” and while looking at the window reflecting her eyes inflaming in fire she gravely said, “And I will hunt you next. Wait for my arrow, Mother’s Murderer.”

At the same night.

“Huff… huff.” out of breath a person was running so desperately at the top of the roof’s of houses in residential areas. Afraid for the people chasing him. Jumping and leaping from roof to roof. Arms are in bleed because of the deep slice on his skin, almost got his tendon. He was ambushed by a girl in tight tracking suit, all in black, with masks covering her entire head and face, only eyes can be seen, the thigh has two holsters with a pistol on it. Waist hangs a magazine with ammo’s on it. Then a man in all black with a cloak covering his body and hood on her head was also chasing him while holding a knife, he was the one who got him. The woman didn’t shoot him recklessly because they are in the residential area, and this woman was Kate.

“He’s at your 9 o’clock Kate!” a manly voice suddenly emerges on Kate’s earpiece. “Thanks, Matt. You heard him, proceed on plan B. Let’s get him out in this area and captured him. He’s about to meets his dead end.” she ordered towards the two people who was also in the line. The other one is chasing, while the other one was on standby, and Matt mentioned was at their private track, looking at the monitors in front of him.

“Let’s catch him no matter what.”

“Hai!” her subordinates answered.

The man looked around, he was confused why it was so quiet for awhile. When he looked at the back, he saw no one. He smiled, thinking they can’t catch up to his speed, but his hope suddenly turns to despair when he was suddenly shot in the leg by a sniper on his northwest hiding in the tall building of the place. Because of the sudden shot he slips and trip, rolled on the inclined roof and luckily, fell onto the pile of garbage putted in plastic bags that made his landing not life-threatening.

“Argh!” the man groan in pain. Blood flows nonstop. He didn’t mind it and stand up limping into this narrow alleyway. 

“F*ck it! Who are they? Why targeting us? I was ordered to go here to check for Crimson Blade. Definitely, they are not one of them, that rouge assassin was known for always holding her long blade katana and covered in Black cloak. Are they in Card of Reapers?” he then momentarily paused from what he thought, then said, “Is there a mole on us?! D*mn, who is it?!”

He continued his walked, plan to go back to tell about what he found out, to his Boss. Planning to leave his companions that was already captured. He walked near the walls as he was minding the night-vision sniper on top of the building. When suddenly, he jerked his steps seeing the man chasing him in front, he turned around, but there’s also a woman in the back route, then both sides are all walls, he was cornered.

“Those cutthroats they send their weak underling first, huh!” Kate exclaimed.

The man panics and tried to eat something in his mouth, but was already too late when the guy in a cloak the subordinates of Kate caught his hand and turned it in the back. Not allowing him to suicide. Kate, also walks towards him while her pointing finger was on front of her face, waving it from left to right gracefully, “No, no, no. You should treasure your life more baby and of course I won’t allow you to cut your life short. ” it was then the guy lost his consciousness when Kate injected something on his neck.

“X, bring him on the truck.” she then ordered.

“Good job Y, and go down there already.” she said on the other line, towards the sniper.

“Yes, our lady.” Y replied.

They then meet up on the truck.

“Impressive as always.” Matt says opening the door of the truck, two persons are also laid on the floor, tied and in unconscious.

“Cut the crap. Get in already X.” Kate went inside and followed by X that was still carrying the man and drop him down. Matt then went to the driver's seat and starts the engine, going towards Y to pick him up.

“I will hellishly interrogate them later on.” Kate added.

These new subordinates of Kate were those Shibai’s they captured a month ago.
