They came to Clossos' lair and Kronos opened the giant gate.
"Come on Clo, we are leaving." The dragon slowly crawled out looking almost annoyed but when he saw Keila his eyes flared and he straightened up. He came close to Keila and sniffed her. She lifted her hand and scratched his snout giggling.
"Be that kind and stop sniffing my wife will you?"
Clossos turned his head to the prince and looked almost surprised. Kronos seemed like he was talking with him like there was some unspoken question.
"Yes, she's my wife, we got married yesterday." The dragon's head sank close to the ground and Kronos sighed. "Sorry buddy, I didn't get the chance to tell you yesterday, but we really gotta go."
He walked through the gate and after a few minutes came back with something like a saddle. It took some time, but he fastened it around the dragon's torso and came close to Keila. He took the bag from her and tied it to the saddle.
Then he turned to her once more. Standing a few feet away he took her hand and led her to stand right next to Clossos.
The dragon laid on the ground waiting. Kronos lifted his hands and softly gripped her by her waist. They just stood there for a minute, his thumbs gently caressing her sides.
She started to get dizzy from the intensity of the look he gave her but he suddenly lifted her up and almost threw her on the dragon's back. She screamed a little from the unexpected movement and gripped the saddle tightly.
Kronos chuckled at seeing her so scared and she threw a murderous glare his way before laughing too. He grabbed one of the straps from his position on the ground and climbed up in a second, his muscles flexing as he did.
Keila quickly shook her head not wanting these thoughts right now. He sat behind her and pressed his chest to her back, making it hard to think of anything else.
When they were both seated Clossos rose up, stretching his wings. Keila was taken by surprise and she slid back a little hitting Kronos in his jewels. He groaned in pain and grabbed her hips tightly.
"I'm so sorry" Keila cowered her mouth with her hands, not with horror but so she didn't laugh her ass off. He looked adorable gripping his crotch like that.
"I actually need those." She couldn't help it, she giggled out loud. "You think this is funny?" He shot her a murderous glare and moved her hands so they were holding the saddle's straps. She looked down embarrassed and blushed.
"Any time now Clo." The dragon didn't need to be told twice. He stood straight on two legs and jumping a bit in the air he took off to the sky.
The air cut into their cheeks as they flew higher and higher. She kept her eyes shut tight, petrified. Finally, the dragon was high enough and flew straight forward. "
You can open your eyes now." Kronos chuckled behind her.
"You think this is funny?" She threw his words right back at her. He chuckled some more and shook his head. She slowly opened her eyes and was stunned by the view.
She saw hills and fields, rivers and streams. It was breathtaking. They were so height she saw clouds pass them as they flew. "This is amazing." She was feeling free in the sky. It felt surreal, like a dream.
Kronos leaned closer and whispered in her ear. "I know." Her breath hitched in her throat. She got this weird feeling whenever he was too close. She blushed as he rested his chin on her shoulder.
They flew for a while now and her back and butt started to ache. The prince raised his hand and pointed to a city not so far away. "That's Nosstrey and that's my palace."
She followed his line of vision and saw a rather small palace made of grey stone. It stood on a hill by a waterfall. There was a city underneath the palace and she could see many meadows with cattle and fields surrounding it all.
The palace was small, it didn't look like there was a dragon lair. "Where's Clossos gonna stay?"
He was a little surprised by her worry for his dragon. "You are more concerned about him than me. Should I be worried?" She chuckled a little. "Maybe"
He shook his head amused. They were being playful and for the first time, she felt comfortable with him which was ironic given they were sitting on a dragon.
"There's a cave under the waterfall, he stays there when we're here." She nodded her head and waited until they landed.
The landing was a little bumpy but they were on the ground on one of the fields close to the palace. Kronos jumped off of Clossos and turned around. He stretched out his hands to Keila.
"Jump"
"What!?"
"Just jump, I'll catch you" She didn't have much choice, it was safer than try on her own. She closed her eyes and jumped. She felt two strong arms on her body and she looked up as they set her on the ground.
He was looking at her and he was so close she felt his breath fanned her lips. She couldn't help it, she stood on her tippy toes and placed her lips on his. The kiss was soft at first but then he started to kiss back.
He gripped her waist tightly pressing his body against hers. Her hands moved to his hair and he deepened the kiss, taking her breath away. After a few more seconds she pulled away breathing heavily.
Did she really kiss him? She didn't think she ever would but it felt really good. He took off Clossos' saddle and handed her bag. "Thank you" He nodded and turned to the dragon who was curiously staring at them.
"Oh, stop looking at me like that, she's my wife," Clossos growled softly at it felt almost like if he was laughing. "Now go, take a nap." The dragon took off again and disappeared behind the waterfall.
Kronos took her hand, the saddle on his other shoulder, he started leading her to the city.
They were walking through the streets and people were turning their heads to them. She heard a few of them whispering. Who is that woman? Is he the prince's wife? She started to get uncomfortable with all the stares and whispers she received.
It looked like Kronos noticed as he stopped in his tracks and frowned at her. "What's wrong"
"Nothing" she tried to drag him away but he didn't move an inch. She sighed defeated, he didn't look convinced. "They are staring and whispering." She mumbled embarrassed.
He squeezed her hand and led her ahead. "Just keep smiling and I will make an announcement tomorrow." She nodded and they continued walking.
They came to a stop behind the palace entrance. There was a rather big square and she could see the stables from where she stood. Kronos let go of her hand to walk to the stables to discard the saddle but she followed him.
They walked to the stables and she was surprised how many horses there were in there. It was too many for so small palace.
"Why are there so many horses?"
She surprised him with her clever questions. "We breed them for my army."
"Do you think I could maybe borrow one sometime? It's too long since I sat on horses back and I would love to take a ride."
He smiled at her and led her to the back of the stables. There was a beautiful black stallion in the beck. "This one, he's mine and I wouldn't recommend trying to control him but this beauty right next to him...."
She looked to the next horse and she was almost dark as the other one and just a little smaller than he was. "This one is yours if you want." She smiled at him and hugged him tightly.
"Thank you" his whole body stiffened and it took him a moment to hug her back. He took a step back and nodded. "But you are not going on your own, you'll go with me or with one of my men."
She nodded and they made their way to the palace. There were a few servants waiting in the hall to welcome them. An elderly man came to them and bowed slightly.
"Welcome back your highness. We are happy to see you again." The prince nodded and turned to all of them. "I would like to introduce my wife, princess Keila."
All the servants bowed down and she smiled brightly at them. "I'm pleased to meet you all."
Kronos took her hand and introduced a few people. "This is my butler Ferdion, if you need anything regarding the household, go to him. This woman here will be your maid and these two are your personal guards."
She looked at the two young men, both had brown hair, one had blue eyes and the other green eyes and a short beard. "Why do I need guards?"
"They won't bother you but if you are to leave the palace you can't go alone." She just nodded. She didn't know this kingdom and she would trust him in this.
He led her further and to what looked like his chambers.
It was simple, just like his chambers in the capitol but it still had all they needed.
"Do you want to eat something?"
"No, I think I'll just go to bed early." She was exhausted from the day, it was, indeed, a very long day. "What about you?"
"I got a few more things I need to take care of. Go to bed."
He left the room and she decided she was just too tired to do anything else. She took a really quick bath and sank into the soft sheets.
