"What?" 

"You heard me, right? Or would you like me to say it again for you?"

"You're ridiculous! How did you get my number?"

"Let's say I am just too interested to know you more that knowing your number will not be impossible for me."

"Very well then, mister. I do not entertain strangers."

I could hear him chuckle on the other line. Although I want to hate him, but a part of me admired his voice so much. It's quite addicting...I should admit.

"You know what, that's what I liked about you. You're aloof but you're turning me on."

"You're simply disgusting."

"I thought we're okay a while ago? Remember? Even your friend enjoyed my company, right?"

"So, you sensed that if not for my best friend, I will  not even look or talk to you."

"I'll be using your friend as an excuse then," He sounded as if he doesn't care to what I will react or feel at all.

"You're heartless." I sternly said, as I raised one of my eyebrows.

"Oh...not so fast, miss." He stopped me right there. I mimicked his sentence as I rolled my eyes.

"I'll let you miss me. See you in my dreams, baby girl." He hung up before I could even react. How dare him!

I stomped my feet as I went back to our house. I should never feel this! I put off my clothes, did a quick shower and put on my set of pajamas. I lay on my bed with a lot of confusion that bothers me so much.

"Gosh girl what did I do?" Sheira pulled her closer to her as she walked along the hallway in going to their room.

"What did you do? Gosh you're disgusting."

"Why?" Sheira scratched her head as she raised one of her eyebrows.

"I am forced to talk to that Gavin guy because of you."

"Huh? Why me, this time?"

"Don't be ridiculous my dear. I told you, I don't want to be closer to any guys, but thanks to you anyway." She answered with sarcasm. They reached their room but most of their classmates are still busy with other things. Rebecca can't even feel that they will be having their major exams.

"People don't care about the result of the exams nowadays, huh." Rebecca whispered to Sheira who is not also paying much attention to her because she's having her time studying last minute.

She can see her scanning through the words with her eyes as she looks at her notes up and down. Rebecca giggled a little that Sheira shushed her right away.

"I hate you, you're annoying."

"It's not my fault that you're not studying in advance."

"I hate it and you know that."

"Well, at least read some. If you read something per day, then you'll be confident of what you're going to answer any questions that will appear on our exams today."

"Yes, "Miss-beautifully-confident-and-smart-with-a-heart". She looked drowsy and yet I can see that Sheira is trying her best to not sleep during our major exams.

When our teacher told us to clear our tables, I got ready. I also took a glimpse at Sheira who is really looking wasted, last minute. She slowly put everything inside her bag and started writing on our test paper. I started focusing on my own. Luckily, I have studied well enough that I answered most of the questions required. I could see Sheira scratched her head as she groaned a little.

 I think it is because she had to deal with her hangover as well. I can see that she's really red all over her face as she put her hands on her forehead. It's like massaging it to ease the pain.

The examination time is almost over. Good thing I was able to finish it ten minutes ahead of time. I took a glance at Sheira as I transferred to the vacant seat where she's sitting right now. I caught her looking at my direction as she rolled her eyes. I know she's annoyed because it's like her hangover is not leaving her until this time.  Normally, our teacher will leave after the examination time. Good thing we still have a fifteen minute break before we have our next lesson.

"You alright?"

"Do I look alright?" She replied with full of sarcasm, I can't help but chuckle.

"Hmm, I told you not to drink a lot if you're aware that we'll be having our exam the following day. My goodness!"

She frowned to what I advised her. She looked at my face, and then slowly shifted her gaze from my head down to my toes. I can't help but to put my legs under my chair.

"Why?"

"It's Gavin's fault." She bit her lower lip.

"Why on earth are you blaming him this time?" I gave her a confused look. She sighed as she looked at the other direction.

"Well, he wanted me to drink a lot of ladies drinks. Of course, I don't want to be rude so I just accepted everything that he offered me to drink last night." 

"What a lame reason. You have all the right to say no, miss."

"Yeah, don't remind me of what I did. It's plain gross and unacceptable." She changed her tone to an exaggerating reaction I can't help but to laugh a little.

"So, why are you looking at me like it's all my fault?"

"Yeah, your fault too. You thought you could be exempted to this one, eh?" She looked at me sternly as she folded her arms.

"Gosh, you're impossible to talk to. Why on earth that it's my fault, too? I didn't do anything."

"Yeah, you didn't do anything. You're actually enjoying yourself last night while watching the musician but Gavin never missed his gaze at you, even once."

"What? I never knew that."

"Yeah, I know you're not because you're not into guys in the first place."

"Yep. You always know it well."

"He asked for your number after I asked him if we could still go in his place." She grinned. It is now my turn to frown at her this time.

"I will never go out with you. If you want, you can go there alone."

"Aww, I know you can't let that happen because you love me. By the way, did he text or call you?" I nodded while frowning. She laughed as she tapped my arms.

"Wow, I knew it. At first, I thought I have a crush on him and he is to me as well. But then, I noticed that he's into you so I can just let it pass."

"Sheira." I warned her but she just giggled in response.

"I wish you the best for your love life. Any decisions could change later, right?"

"You heard me. I will always be firm when it comes to my decisions."

"Well, if Gavin is that kind of persistent, then I just wish you good luck then."

"You're a bad friend." I frowned at her but she just chuckled. I don't know why but she's not taking it seriously this time. Is she thinking that I can't just get mad at her that easy?

"Hmm, are you okay? Are you still having a hangover?" I touched her forehead. She smiled as she showed a little relief.

"I'm okay now, after our talk."

"Silly girl. For your information, I don't like it."

"You need this topic sometimes. It's for your own good."

"What benefit could I get to flirt with guys? You always know what I hate the most."

"But don't be too close minded. Sometimes you have to interact with guys because of some reasons."

"Whatever that reason is, I know it's not that important." I can't help but to show how annoyed I am. I also folded my arms as I raised one of my eyebrows.

Our conversation ended when our teacher entered the class for our next subject. I transferred to my own seat and pulled my notes inside my bag. I am too focused on searching for that particular notebook when I heard gasps and shrieks coming from my female classmates.

"Let's welcome your new classmate for this subject, Gavin Jenkins."

I faced in front to confirm I am hearing it right. I thought for a second that I am being fooled by my ears but I wasn't wrong.

"Hello everyone. Nice to meet all of you." He greeted all of us with a cheerful tone. I roamed my gaze around the room and I can see most of my female classmates giggled as they whispered to each other.

I hate to see his smile. I can feel that my blood is rising because of what he did last night. How dare him to just call me that easy? We're not even close.

I noticed that he also roamed his gaze around the room as he smiled. When we locked our gaze, I could see his smile beaming more than ever.

"Hello, Rebecca Dale." He mentioned my name that everyone fixed their attention to me this time. Oh my goodness! What is he planning to do this time?
