Chapter 0007

Liam's POV

If Trish thinks that I was just going to let her words just slip she was mistaken. She was bothered by my presence. What the hell?! I would avoid her and wait for her to acknowledge my presence. It wasn't easy avoiding her since we were stuck in the penthouse due to the rain. I stayed in my office most of the time and cool down in the pouring rain at the poolside. I wanted to talk to her but my ego wouldn't make me beg for a mere human. I am scared of her. She has power over me. She can fucking make me do things and make me obey her demands. So for now, I think not talking to her unless she talks to me first was a way to save my pride.

She was such a stubborn girl. She didn't even tried to talk to me. I prepared her meals and left notes but she didn't even say thank you or write a note back. Was she enjoying not talking to me? Did she really meant what she said? I was really getting impatient waiting for her to acknowledge my gestures and admit that she does enjoy my presence. I always check her out when she's asleep and for the past days she was always hiding under her blanket. It's a habit that I already got used to. Checking her while she was sound asleep at the middle of the night.

"There has been vampire attacks in the other cities, Liam. We need to fix this issue." Natasha stated over the phone. "This is a serious matter."

"I understand, Natasha." I replied. "Do you have any lead who's been causing this chaos?"

"Nothing. It seems like new vampires are on the lose. Weren't able to be to track them so I need your expertise." She stated. "We can't put our existence at risk."

"Of course. We will find out the truth about this attacks."

"I'll see you at your penthouse tomorrow morning. I heard that you have a new human pet." She stated.

"And from whom have you heard that rumor?"

"I compelled Samuel to tell me the truth." She admitted.

"So you're with them now?"

"Yes, I love the club. This is a magnificent place. I'll see you in the morning. I wouldn't want to make your little human wonder why you have a visitor at this hour. Bye."

Natasha Sinclair is just like me. She is also an original vampire. There are four of us -Hendrick Marcus, Steven Mitchell, Natasha and me. We separated many years ago. Natasha was the only one that keep tabs on us and keeps us all connected. She is a devious seductress. But this was the first time she called me about a problem that she had trouble solving. She always find her way. I was about to drink the blood I reheated when I heard Patricia screaming I immediately run to her room. She was screaming covered with sweat.

"Wake up." I stated while shaking her. "Patricia, you're having a nightmare." She opened her eyes and embraced me tightly. "It's okay."

"They were trying to kill me." She was crying and trembling as she speak.

"You're going to be fine. It was just a dream, love." I rubbed her back to calm her. "I'll get you something to drink."

"Please, don't leave me." She embraced me even tighter and buried her face on my chest.

"Okay, calm down. You're going to be okay. It was just a dream." I stated sweetly.

"Please stop avoiding me. I have nightmares when I don't feel safe or sad."

"I'm sorry. I just don't want you to be bothered by my presence." I replied and kiss her temple. "I didn't want you to leave."

"You fucking locked me up. How can I?" She slap my arms and sat on the bed properly.

"It's the building new security feature. It came quite handy." I stated and wipe tears of her cheeks. "You seemed to have enjoyed not talking to me. You didn't even tried to talk to me."

"You were avoiding me." She replied sadly.

"I'm sorry. I just wanted you to approach me and tell me that you want me by your side. I didn't want to force myself to you. I didn't want to drive you away."

"Can you stay here with me?" Suddenly there was a loud thunder and flash of lightning so hid under the blanket while grabbing a pillow.

"Love, are you scared of the thunder and lightning?" I teased as he removed the blanket and saw how frightened she really was.

"Yes." She admitted and I embraced her tightly.

"I'm sorry. I should have known." I kissed her forehead. "You might have been frightened the past days. Don't worry I'll be right here. Nothings gonna hurt you."

"Thanks." She lay in bed and I stood up. "Where are you going?"

"I'll grab a chair so I can watch you sleep."

"Aren't you going to sleep? You can sleep in the bed with me."

"Are you inviting me in your bed love?" I replied seductively.

"To sleep. Yes." She moved to give me space and I lay down next to her.

"Close your eyes and try to relax love. You're going to be okay." I cuddled he and she lay her head on my chest.

I tried to leave once she was asleep but she was laying on top of me. Every time I try to move her she buried herself closer to me. I couldn't wake her up. She was sleeping like a little baby. I can feel myself getting turned on as she moved once in a while, changing her position. I can feel her breast pressing on my chest and her thigh pressing on my erection. This is going to be a long night. I remember that I haven't drunk the blood in my office desk. I was hungry and I can feel my fangs protruding while looking at her pulse beating on her neck. Her heart beat and soft breathing was all I can hear.

I closed my eyes trying to calm myself and regain my control. It was already 9:00 AM and she was still sleeping. When she woke up, she didn't hide her desire. I had to turn her down by making up a lie that I don't think she can handle me since she was still recovering. The truth was I wanted her so much but I was famished. I was scared that I might lose control and end up sucking her blood. I wasn't ready to tell her the truth about me. She was really pushing me to the limit. I almost lost control when she stood naked in front of me in the bathroom. Luckily, I felt Natasha's presence getting close so I immediately left her room and welcomed them even before they can knock. She was with Mikel, Oliver, Benjamin, Samuel, Mike and Amber.

"So where's your friend?" Natasha stated the moment she was inside.

"In her room." I replied flatly. "So what's the situation?"

"Somebody seems upset." Natasha teased. "You're normally warm and accommodating to me. What changed?"

"Nothing. Just tell me what I can do to help so we can settle this dilemma that you have." I replied annoyingly.

"I can ask Amber to help you with your problem." Natasha stated looking at the bulge on my sweat pants. "She's really good with her mouth." She whispered at me.

"Are we going to talk about the problem seriously or would you like me to escort all of you out of my house?" I stated seriously.

"Excuse us." Natasha dragged me out the poolside. "Do not fucking treat me like one of your followers. Do not forget that we are equals."

"Are we?" I glared at her. "Then why the hell are you here asking my help."

"I have a hunch that this killings is connected to you that is why I called your attention. They are killing girls ranging from 18-22 years old and I know that you have been trying to keep an eye on a young girl for more than 10 years now. You can't keep a secret from me Liam. I know things."

"How dare you pry on my business?" I stated angrily at her.

"I'm just looking out for you brother." She stated. "You know that out of the three of you, your my favorite. Besides, you have been distracted. The killings are too obvious and whoever is doing this is not trying to hide their actions."

"Perhaps, they just want to lure us in a trap." I shrugged.

"Or they are after the girl your protecting." She stated. "You have to come with me so we can investigate this matter further. We should leave by tomorrow."

"Alright. I'll bring Oliver and Benjamin with me."

"And the girl?"

"I'll have Samuel watch over her. Natasha, you have to promise me that whatever it is that you know about her would be kept a secret."

"About who? I don't even know what you're talking about." She smiled at me.

Natasha is really good at keeping secrets and if there is someone that knows me well it was her. She has her ways to find out what's I'm up to. I was really bothered about the news she shared. She was right I have been really distracted. I honestly don't even know what the hell is going on in my surroundings. All my attention was focused on Patricia. We got back in the house to discus the plan.

"Wow! Hello beautiful." Benjamin stated and the rest of them stare at Patricia while she stood still hardly covering herself with a towel and water dripping from her head to foot.

"What the fuck." I exclaimed and immediately covered the others view with my body while she remained frozen in her position and almost drop her towel. "Excuse us." I stated and dragged her back in her room. "Patricia." I glared at me.

"I didn't realize you had visitors." She replied and smiled at me.

"What were you planning to do?" I studied her and she drop her towel exposing her naked body .

"Walk around the house naked and find out how much self control you have left." She admitted.

"We have guest. So please fix yourself." I stated and walked out her room.

"Tell me that you hitting that." Natasha stated when I went back to join them. "I'll definitely do her. Shit."

"Natasha, shut up." I stated annoyed.

"Someone's getting pissed. I'll shut up if you tell me if she's the one." She stated.

"Maybe." I stated as the rest pretended to ignore our conversation.

I introduce Patricia to our guest and Mikel helped her with her breakfast. We discussed the plan about leaving the next day. Samuel wasn't happy that he was left babysitting. He was really upset but I inform him that he was the only one I can trust to keep Patricia safe. He is in a serious relationship with Mikel so I don't think he'll fuck it up by being attracted to Patricia plus Samuel was really strong and very qualified to keep someone safe. I saw Patricia running into her room and suddenly we heard a loud thud.

"Liam!" Patricia screamed in pain.

"Patricia." We all run into her room and saw her on the floor. "What the hell!" I yelled after seeing her on the floor.

"I think I broke my arm." She stated crying.

"What the hell were you doing?" I screamed at her and picked her up.

"Oh my gosh. She's bleeding." Mikel stated panicking as blood ooze from her forehead. "She must have hit her head when she fell."

"You are going to be the cause of my death." I stated as I hurriedly walk out the penthouse. "I'll take her to the clinic. You guys stay here." I ordered.

There was a clinic next to our building and they immediately checked her. Her forehead was bleeding but she didn't need any stitches. Her arm was sprained and she had to wear a sling for the next few days. The doctor gave her some pain killers and antibiotics. She wanted to walk back to the penthouse but I carried her ignoring her request. It took us about an hour before we were able to get back because of some test they did. Mikel and Samuel were the only ones left in the penthouse when we get back.

"How is she?" Mikel asked worriedly.

"I'm still alive and kicking." Patricia replied cheerfully.

"You need to stop being childish." I stated as I place her on the couch. "Your actions would fucking kill you." I grab a vase and throw it on the TV.

"What?!" She stared at me. "It was an accident. I slipped because the floor was wet. It's not like I intentionally did this to myself."

"You slipped because you were running around like a little kid. The floor got wet because you decided to parade your naked body after getting a shower without drying yourself." I yelled at her. "This is the result of your actions."

"Calm down, Liam. She alright." Samuel stated. "Your going to give her a heart attack."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause any problem. I'll just leave." She stated.

"And what live on the streets." I replied angrily. "Your not going anywhere. I'm leaving. Samuel and Mikel would be staying here with you."

"What?! Why?!" She looked at me and I saw sadness in her eyes.

"Business." I sat beside her while running my fingers on my hair. "You'll stay in my bedroom and they can stay in your room for the time being. I'll be leaving tomorrow." I stated before heading to my office followed by Samuel.

"You need to calm yourself. She's fine." Samuel stated as I slammed the door shut.

"She always getting herself injured. How can I calm down? I was fucking in the same room with her and she still managed to hurt herself."

"It was an accident. Liam, I know your worried but she seems fine." Samuel stated as he handed be a blood bag. "Relax."

"If I had a choice I wouldn't leave her. If I can I'd bring her along with me." I admitted after consuming the blood. "I've been distracted and I didn't even knew about the killings if it wasn't for Natasha. I'm in deep shit."

"Who is she for real? Liam, I've known you for years and seeing you act this way towards her tells me that you are hiding something from me."

"I never tell anyone everything, Samuel. She is special that's all you need to know. You should probably get your stuff while I clean up the mess in the living room."

"You better not argue with her while were gone. She might runaway. Try to be gentle. Use your fucking charm or fucking compel her to behave."

"Samuel, I would never compel her. And you have to promise me that you wouldn't do it as well. Keep her safe and never leave her side." I stated.

"Do you need help?" Patricia offered as I was cleaning the mess in the living room.

"No, don't go here. You might hurt yourself again." I replied. "I'm almost done."

"How long are you going to be gone?" She sat on the sofa staring at me.

"I'm not sure. It depends." I smiled at her as I finished cleaning the mess. "Would you miss me?"

"I don't know. You've been a jerk so I'm not sure." She stare at the vacant wall where the TV was previously placed. "Shit, now I can't watch Netflix."

"I already have a new one to be delivered later." I replied. "You do realize that you can easily make me lose my temper. So please stop pushing my buttons."

"Okay." I sat next to her and she rested her head on my shoulders.

"I'm going to miss you." I kissed her on the lips tenderly.

"Can I go with you? I've been stuck here for so long and I'm already becoming claustrophobic." She stated.

"No, will be moving a lot. Natasha said we have various sites to visit. And she wants my full attention. She doesn't want me distracted." I explained.

"So she wants you all by herself. Natasha is hot. Do you like her?"

"No. We had history. But the was a long time ago. This is strictly business."
