Chapter 10 Don’t Make A Scene

Author: Honey Pot
Julian stopped in place. His eyes still bore into Amelia’s. With a bitter smile, he threatened, “I’ll let you off, today. But know this, Amelia, you’ll never be off the hook, ever.”

Amelia's eyes blinked nervously as Julian left the room, leaving a cold draft behind. Her legs gave way and she quickly dropped to the floor, legs akimbo.

Her face was drained, pale. Her eyes were drained as well, of hope. There was nothing but a bottomless pit of despair.

What could she do?

In the study room.

Hendricks Tudor's expression was cold and unforgiving as he looked at his one and only grandson. It was a far cry from the kind and calm demeanor he had with Amelia.

“Grandfather.”

Julian greeted his grandfather plainly. He went towards the sofa, wanting to sit on it, but was immediately halted by Hendricks.

“Stand where you are!”

Julian frowned. He stood, albeit discontentedly. Disgruntled, he asked, “What’s the matter?”

“You would still ask me?”

Hendricks glared hatefully into Julian as he asked, “What happened between you and Amelia?”

“What's there between us?” Julian answered with cold, carefree scoff.

“What about Halley then? What about her?”

“It’s nothing. We’re just fooling around.”

Julian was not liking how this conversation had brought up Halley. Even though he truly hated Amelia, down to his bones, because of her “betrayal”, and even though he berated Amelia with Halley by his side, in his heart, he knew that Amelia was incomparable. Halley was nothing when compared to Amelia.

Truth be told, where he stood, Halley was nothing but a tool for him to enact his revenge. She knew this, and she was also very sensible, and that was why she was playing along for the time being.

“Let’s hope it is as you say it is.”

Hendricks scoffed. Amelia had thought the old man was oblivious to her issues with Julian. However, the truth was far from it. As the true master of the Tudor family, it was unlikely that Hendricks Tudor did not know every single thing there is.

That being said, even though Hendricks was fond of his granddaughter-in-law, he felt nothing was overly wrong for Julian to have “something on the side” after his marriage with Amelia. Men will be men, who wouldn’t want to be in the trend. As long as he did it discreetly and not turn the entire ordeal into a scene, Hendricks would not interfere.

Scolding him was not the main reason he had summoned Julian over. Those harsh words were simply thrown out there.

“Quinlan is coming,” said Hendricks, gloomy. Julian immediately frowned.

“Youngest Uncle? Why is he back? Is it a social visit?”

To be honest, Julian did not harbor any feelings — positive or otherwise — for this uncle who rarely ever showed up since his childhood. However, because of Hendricks' evident wariness against Quinlan, Julian had picked up on it.

Furthermore, the man was smart and talented. He had managed to establish himself well overseas. Thus, Julian had consciously labelled the man as a rival, to be hated and contempted.

Even though Julian Tudor was the official inheritor of the Tudor inheritance, Quinlan himself was not too far from it. Quinlan Tudor’s father was Julian Tudor’s elder brother. If he had not spent so much time out of the country, one could even argue that he would be a solid contender of the Tudor inheritance.

“It will not be something as simple as a social visit. He is returning home to develop here.”

Julian quickly dropped his aloof demeanor and focused on the matter.

“Grandfather, what will you do?”

“It depends on what Quinlan does first. You'd best restrain yourself. Go and work in the office properly for I do not want any trouble coming from you. At the end of the day, Quinlan is still my nephew, your youngest uncle.”

“I understand.”

Julian nodded obediently. When it came to family inheritance and his rights, he would not turn a blind eye to it.

“Tomorrow, stay home. I want you to help Amelia with the reception. This reception is for Quinlan, we’re welcoming him back. So behave yourself, I don’t want other people to get the impression that I am neglecting my only grandson.”

“Rest assured, grandfather. I will handle this. If there’s nothing else, I’d like to take my leave. Rest, grandfather. Please take care.”

“Remember that Amelia is still your wedded wife. Do not cause too big a scene.”

’Was father robbed?’Amelia frowned worriedly. After listening to Charles’ conversation, the situation might actually be dire. Amelia knocked on the door when she was sure no more conversation was taking place. She knew that Charles would never let Amelia know about such troubling matters. She hid her worries and went into the room with a bright smile, hoping that she could alleviate her father’s mood. “Father.” “Amelia. Have you eaten?” “Not yet. That’s why I came! To invite you for lunch. They’re serving steamed fish. It’s been too long since I had any and I’m so craving for them!” “Oh you… You shouldn’t be taking too much spices. You wouldn’t have to worry about pimples then.” “But your beautiful daughter has your flawless genes! I’m but a natural beauty! Why do I have to be afraid of pimples?” said Amelia with pride as she raised her chin. Charles was clearly happy to see his daughter. The smile on his face grew wider. “Come on then! Can’t let my sweet sweet daught

Halley laid, face down, on the shoe rack. Her legs trembled, as she endured the pain. She forced out a seductive smile and asked caringly, “Julian, what happened today? Who made you angry?” Julian’s face was still as he made his hair. He tossed aside a piece of tissue that he used to wipe it off. He hurriedly wore his pants. All the while ignoring Halley as he walked to the living room, annoyed, and sat down. Click, poof.He lit himself a cigarette. He blew out a puff of smoke and leaned back to the sofa. He had a look of sudden recalling when he finished his stick. He frowned and turned to her. “Get me a cup of water,” he said annoyingly. Halley’s body was in incredible pain. Her legs were still shaking, not yet fully recovered. The sudden decree with his unpleasant tone made her only distraught. She endured the pain and tried her best to put on her nightgown. She even intentionally revealed her breasts, which had bruises marked all over them because of how roughly they wer

Fatigue. Amelia was exhausted. So much so she could not move her fingertips. There she was, lying on the soft bed. Her eyes were unfocused and blank. She wanted to sleep but she could not do it. Not in a hotel. She never had the habit of sleeping in a hotel. Additionally, the sun had just set and she still needed to go back. Her head cocked a little, only just enough to be able to visually see Quinlan. He was putting on his tie. His fingers, of joints that were distinctly visible, moved with such dexterity around the fabric of the tie. It took him only a moment or two to finish the job. His shirt was his beacon to the world; no one else could have worn a shirt better than Quinlan. Of course, Amelia would not admit that. The man noticed Amelia looking at him and turned to her, neither slowly nor hurriedly. It was just a simple nod, yet the man’s overbearing, overwhelming pheromones only made him extremely sultry. “If I’m right, fuck buddies don’t usually socialize after se

”Let go. I want to go back.” Amelia bit her lips. She tried with all her might to push Quinlan away. The man effortlessly caught her hands. He held them high above her head while one of his legs pushed hers apart. The two bodies plastered to each other, sharing and feeling each other’s warmth. “Never,” said Quinlan, with the most mischievous tone. Fully intentional, he even licked and kissed her supple lips. He did not stop there. He teasingly bit her lips lightly. The overbearing, overwhelming smell of cologne on Quinlan’s body only made Amelia’s mind drift. She was cursing herself for not being strong enough to resist the temptation. But she could do nothing. Even if she was not infatuated by the man, she could never resist the man's charm. “You like this, don’t you.” Quinlan’s softened voice — both inviting yet mischievous — was like the devil himself. Amelia clenched her hands tight. She wanted to resist but as if she had lost control of her mind, she confessed, “I

”Very well, father. I shall take my leave then. If Amelia is still feeling ill, please tell her to rest in her office. I will come for her later.” “Go. Work is important.” Charles waved his hands and Julian left after he gathered his things. Coincidentally, Charles’ own phone rang. It was one of his old friends from the stock market trades. He had moved his entire company overseas a few years ago. The two had not seen each other for more than a year. So, when Charles received his call, he was happy. “Right now? Sure. I’ll conclude my business here and go.” Charles hesitated for a while and agreed to meet the person on the other line. “Is there trouble? Brother Amore?” “An old friend of mine has just returned home. He’s got something for me and wants me to see him,” said Charles apologetically. After all, he was the one who had invited Quinlan for dinner. The meal had only just started and he was already leaving. “Go, Brother Amore. Let me take care of Amore. I’ll send h

  • KOREAN I Am You   Chapter 29 The One In His Embrace Is His

Amelia received a call from Charles, inviting her to a meal with them. The sudden revelation almost got Amelia to destroy the drafts of the designs she was working on. That disgusting Quinlan was still around. The thought of actually having a meal with him later gave Amelia a mild headache. She wanted no more than to find an excuse to let herself out of the situation but she could not bring herself to ruin her father’s mood. The three of them got out of the elevator and as they were exiting the hall on the first floor, Julian was there, walking towards them. “Father, Amelia.” Julian increased his pace to greet them all but was surprised to see Quinlan with them. “Youngest Uncle, why are you here?” Amelia’s heart sank a little when Julian brought up that question. If her father revealed that Julian was the one who had given her a ride to work, she would have no idea what to do then. “I’m here to learn a thing or two from Brother Amore.” Quinlan answered first. His answ
