Painful and Dangerous Love

    It's been like thirteen hours that I've waited for Dr. Karsyn to arrive back. I sat back to the couch and rested my body to it. Maybe I will just wait a few more hours perhaps. "Oh, God! I'm starving. Where are you Doctor?" my stomach began to growl.  

    My feet lead me all the way to his table. I sat on his swivel chair and turn around. My eyes are sparkling with pure bliss as I saw the city lights from his glass partition walls. 

    "Such a majestic view to watch. I wonder where is Dominick right now. I should give him a call" my hands reached for my pocket "Where it is?... Oh! It's in the locker room!" My tongue clicked. The colors of the city light made me forget about my current situation. 

    I stood up and place my hands on the wall plastering with a huge smile on my face. My reflection smiled back at me. As my eyes went down to my neck, hickeys are countlessly made by Dr. Karsyn.

    "Oh, God! How am I supposed to hide this from them? I'm afraid that they will see this if I will be clumsy" stretching my shirt down and sideways to check if there are other hickeys formed but thank God! There ain't. A knock on the door made me turn towards it.

    "Dr. Karsyn? Sir, are you still there?" he knocked once more "Ye-Yes! Someone is here!" optimistic is audible in my voice. As I open the door, my mouth gasped in shock "Oh! I-It's you! Wha-What's your name? Mine is Keatton Morgan. Dr. Karsyn's intern" I sneered while offering my hands to shake with his. 

    It is the same guard that I asked at the entrance about where is Bernard? But as usual, the guard seemed aloof. "I-I should go now" he didn't bother to look me in the eyes but rather his eyes went on to his feet. Can't help but to feel bad about me. Am I that gay or something? 

    "I-Is there any problem? Uh.. what's your name again?" a slight of hope appeared in my senses. 

    "Please speak to me! I'm begging you. I'm not a bad person, you know" he remained to look at his feet.

    "I know you are not but someone is. You should go by now. It is already late and working hours ended three hours ago" he said while walking away from me. I then immediately close the door and chase him but he just ran fast, so we ended up running to the hallway.

    "Wait! What's your name?" the elevator opened and the guard hopped on to it quickly. He pressed the close button vigorously. The door was closing but luckily my hand stopped them from closing. A slam-bang noise escaped as he facepalms himself. He then turns his back on me. 

    The elevator is now closed and starts going down. "He-Hey! I am sorry if I made you run or scared. I just want to know your name? In fact, we are working on the same company so might as well to get to know each other right?" my laugh came hinky.

    "You know, to familiarise" I insensitively poke his back that made him jitter "P-Please Sir Keatton, I don't want to be troubled especially my loved ones" his voice became wimpish.

    "Oh! I'm sorry" my voice became low and I step back away from him. 

    Why would I cause trouble to him or his loved ones? 

    We are both at the corners of this elevator. Me on the upper left and him being on the bottom right. Maybe I should stop being so friendly at some point to other people. 

    Maybe I should know that there are some who don't want to be friends with me. It is actually the first time that I got pushed away from making friends. It kinda hurt a bit but surely I'll get over with it. 

    A deafening sound of silence occupied our space as we head down to the first floor. After I heard the elevator opens, my head looks down and I began to fasten my walk. 

    Before I could even open the main door, the guard opens it for me and whispered his name "Chris. Chris is my name" my body faced him and there I saw his smile. 

    "Nice to meet you, Chris" I smile as I wave him goodbye. I've waited three minutes on the side of the road before the cab that I booked arrives. As we head the way towards my home, I can't help but to think of what Chris says after I said that I am not a bad guy, "I know you are not but someone is" who could be that someone? 

    The road we are taking is not busy anymore. Cars can drive freely and without any pauses as traffic doesn't exist at times like this. "Dang! I forgot about my phone. How could I forget it? Uh..." 

    I forgot to get my things from the locker room. Perhaps I should just get it by tomorrow. "We are here, Sir" the driver stopped his car almost at the garage of our house. 

    "Wo-Wow" I laugh awkwardly while handling him the fare. "Thank you so much!" the driver just nods as he drove away from here. My eyes looked over to our neighbors. It must be that late at night because none of them have lights turned on. I began to feel a shiver as the wind blows coldly. 

    Twisting the knob to open the door it was locked. I was about to knock when it suddenly opened and there I saw Mommy Elise wiping his eyes while yawning "Good evening Mom! I'm sorry if I wake you up from your deep slumber" the house has bare light and it only came from the lampshade. 

    "What took you so long to get home, Keatton? Is an intern that hard? Or you attended some errands? Hmmm?" Mommy Elise is wearing her terno pajama with her favorite fluffy bunny slippers. I smiled.

    "We just extended our working hours, Mom. The company has lots of customers" I just need to pull out some white lies. Mommy Elise began squinting her eyes as she looks straight forward in my neck. "Uhuh? And then?" she steps closer to me 

    "What happened to your neck, Keatton? Does that also happen when you do overtime?" My hands abruptly cover my neck and I laugh nervously 

    "Ah-Eh! These are just... mo-mosquito bites! Ye-Yes! Mosquito bites" I step backward as she became closer to me "Elise" Daddy William called Mom. "Can you come here real quick?" my stomach growl again and I smile sheepishly. 

    "I guess you haven't eaten your dinner yet" my head nod "You can reheat the food, Keatton. I'll just go to your Dad" I mouthed thank you "After you eat, sleep okay? You'll be early tomorrow then. Good night, darling" Mom then climbed his way upstairs to go see Dad. 

    I sighed out loud as I remove my hands from covering my neck "Thank God!" wiping the sweats that formed in my forehead using the back of my hand. As my finger pressed the turn on the button of our kitchen things starting to get visible. 

    "I'm so tired to reheat the food. I will just eat it regardless of its temperature. After all, the taste is what I am looking for" I sat on the vacant chair and remove the food cover. I started to eat like there's no tomorrow. 

    I mean, I haven't eaten lunch and dinner! Given the fact that I am left at the office alone with no one to talk to. Not even a single water is available to drink there. After I ate and find contentment with all the food that I intake, a loud burp comes out from my mouth. Can't help but to laugh again. 

    When I look up at our refrigerator, my eyes saw that it is already past one-thirty in the morning. "Dang! That Dr. Karsyn really made me wait for nothing" I said while shaking my head "Maybe he's upset about my answer to his father. Well, he deserves it. He's been so dang hard and harsh to me" after I wash my soiled dishes, I head towards my room. 

    As I walk past to my parents' room, I heard their laughs. It also made me smile as I enter my room. "Finally! A room where I could rest and have a peaceful hour away from my devilish boss who came from the deepest dungeon of hell" I burst into a laugh as I rest my body slamming into the bed. 

    "Wish I have the guts to punch that Karsyn creeps. Maybe I can but I should be ready to deal with his wrath" I talked to myself. Started undressing myself leaving me being fully naked. At times, I love to sleep being fully naked while of course locking my room. No one wants to be seen by their parents fully naked, right? 

    At some points also, I love to be in full clothes. It all depends on my mood. My changed outfit has been already folded and placed into the dirty laundry at the bathroom. As I enter the bathroom, I glanced myself from head to foot in my whole body mirror. All is well except my neck. 

    Thank God that my lips or face didn't bruise after Dr. Karsyn slapped and slammed me with full impact. I don't know why I am conforming myself to him. Am I that stupid to be persuaded by his looks? Or am I that stupid to chase for good grades and the exchange of it is to be Dr. Karsyn's toy? My fingers point at the hickies where Dr. Karsyn is the one who made it. 

    "One, two, three" I count out loud "Four, five... oh! And six. Dang you, Doctor!" my eyes rolled in the air. "Now, how am I supposed to hide this?" I worriedly said. "Tell me, Kitty" mimicking Dr. Karsyn's voice is a fun thing to do. "Such a weird guy" I chuckled. 

    "I'll just sleep then so that I could think possible solutions to this" pointing out my hickies. As soon as I go out of the bathroom, my body lay down on the bed and there I close my eyes to sleep.
