“Now, hurry up and go to school now. Being late on the first day of school doesn’t look good on you.” As though something crossed her mind, she added, “And don’t cause trouble again.”

“When did I ever cause trouble?” Moo Jiachen was not too happy with that one.

It was as if he was a model student. However, Mu Nuannuan did not argue with him about that. She just hurried him away.

Moo Jiachen tucked the money into his wallet, and his expression suddenly turned serious as he spoke hesitantly, “I have something to tell you.”

“What is it?” Mu Nuannuan was curious when she saw his grave face.

“If you can, divorce my elder cousin. He’s not a good man.” Moo Jiachen paused for a second, then continued, “I’m serious. I’m not saying this so you can be my girlfriend.”

Mu Nuannuan would have believed him if he had not mentioned the last part.

“You shouldn’t have said that, kid. I’ll call your cousin if you’re still not going.”

“Cool, I’m leaving now.” He left, but a few paces later, he looked back. “I’m serious.”

When Mu Nuannuan mimed a telephone with her thumb and little finger between her ear and her mouth, he shrugged, then disappeared out of her sight. Moo Jiachen was still at an innocent age, but he got one thing right: Moo Tingxiao was anything but a good man.

When Mu Nuannuan turned around, she again bumped into Mu Wanqi, whose face darkened upon seeing her.

Mu Wanqi was a little startled when she saw the dress that Mu Nuannuan was wearing. Mu Nuannuan had been wearing very simple and modest clothing all along; no one would have associated her appearance with some woman of a wealthy family. But today, Mu Nuannuan was a little different.

She was wearing a dress that looked like any other dress at first glance, yet Mu Wanqi knew better; it was from an expensive brand, top-notch in terms of cutting and design. Who bought her the dress? “Moo Jiachen”? Mu Wanqi crossed her arms, her chin skyward as she looked sideways at Mu Nuannuan.

“Dad said you failed to get Moo Tingxiao to help Mu Corporation.”

“He’s not someone whom I can convince of anything. Why don’t you ask him yourself?” She had not been in her best mood since Saturday because of Moo Tingxiao. So she did not want to get into it with Mu Wanqi.

“You think I’m afraid? I’ll do it!” Mu Wanqi sneered and walked away triumphantly.

Shen Liang had been right; Mu Wanqi was beyond salvage. She was too deep in her princess syndrome. She first tried to seduce “Moo Jiachen” and failed. Now she wanted to go after “Moo Tingxiao”. Although Mu Nuannuan knew that the two men were the same person, Mu Wanqi did not.

Did Mu Wanqi think that all stars circled around her, and all men would kiss her shoe-strings?

She was a complete basket case.

Mu Nuannuan sneered. Seduce Moo Tingxiao? Mu Wanqi may not even get to see him at all.

When Moo Tingxiao arrived at Shengding Entertainment, Gu Zhiyan quickly followed him into his office.

“I got wind that you asked Shiye to send you a jacket in the Golden Cauldron.” Gu Zhiyan chortled as if he knew something.

Reminded of what happened last Saturday, Mu Tingxiao frowned. He looked up from a pile of documents. “Don’t you have anything better to do?”

Gu Zhiyan immediately sensed something bad would happen. Since Moo Tingxiao’s return, he had enjoyed quite a lot of free time.

Moo Tingxiao switched on the computer and received a news notification on the screen with a sensationalized headline.

“An entertainment tycoon spending a night with two women in a high-end club.”

He clicked the link, and it opened into the article. His eyes browsed through the content quickly, and he said, “I think you’re famous now.”

“What?”

Gu Zhiyan took a look at the headline, which spread across the screen with a complimentary photo below, showing him bringing two women into the Golden Cauldron. The camera that the paparazzo used must have been an expensive one; the photo was as clear as day. There were two women, one on each side. From the angle of the shot, they looked extremely intimate.

“It’s all bullsh*t! It was Saturday night when I brought two staff members out to carry some things. As we returned to the entrance, one of them stumbled and I helped her up.” Gu Zhiyan was about to blow his top.

Moo Tingxiao did not remind him that Shen Liang could have seen the news. At that moment, he heard, “Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t!” He then saw Gu Zhiyan scramble to take out his phone to call Shen Liang. As Shen Liang answered the call quickly, he became a little upbeat; she had never picked up his call that quickly. However, all he heard was, “You shameless piece of garbage, why are you calling me? To tell me how good you are in a threesome? I hope you die from exhaustion! Go to hell and don’t call me again!” Then he heard the phone being slammed before the line went dead.

“Shen Xiaoliang, continue scolding me if you dare, but why did you hang up on me?” Deep inside, Gu Zhiyan was worried. It was not like Shen Liang always took his calls. When she did, though, she usually sounded cold and irritated. But this time, she sounded mad. He tried to call her back, but all he got was the machine telling him, “We’re sorry, the number you have dialed is busy”, “We’re sorry, the number you have dialed is out of coverage”, and at last, “We’re sorry, the number you have dialed is no longer active”.

Did she block his number again? It had taken him quite the effort to break the back of the beast before Shen Liang agreed to unblock him. Now, because of one fake news, she blacklisted him again.

“F*ck!”

Not in the mood to dig at Moo Tingxiao, Gu Zhiyan went to look for his secretary.

“Inform Public Relations to get ready for an emergency meeting in a bit.”

Once he found the person who was behind this, he would make sure the person got his or her comeuppance.

Shen Liang had been busy, working her butt off every day on a promo tour for her new movie. When Mu Nuannuan suddenly got a call from her, she thought Shen Liang had returned. The least she expected was to hear Shen Liang go berserk.

“Gu Zhiyan’s a piece of garbage, scumbag, low life, and hooker!”

Mu Nuannuan pulled the phone away from her ear as Shen Liang nearly broke her eardrum.

“What has Gu Zhiyan done?”

“Didn’t you see the news? He brought two women into a club, and they didn’t come out the whole night. What do you think he would do with two women?”

While Shen Liang spoke, Mu Nuannuan moved to click open the entertainment news. She saw the photo of Gu Zhiyan and two women walking into a club. It was the most searched news right then. She recognized the background in the photo; it was the Golden Cauldron’s entrance, not to mention, Gu Zhiyan and the two women seemed to be very intimate.
