chapter 21

Deejah's POV

I was bored and tired. I couldn't wait for this fucking lecture to be over. Mina did not come to school today and I had no idea what happened to her. She wasn't the type to just skip school, without a valid reason, especially due to the fact that her dad was very strict and didn't play with stuff concerning academy. 

I made a mental note to call and find out what really stopped her from coming to school today.

I heaved a sigh of relief, as the lecturer finally stepped out of the classroom. I brought out my phone from my bag and dialed Mina number.  After the third ring, she picked up.

"Hey, babe! What stopped you from coming to school today?" I inquired. 

"I'm not feeling fine. I've been feeling discomfort in my stomach." She responded.

"Oh! miss foodie. What did you eat to upset your stomach?" I asked, trying to pull her legs.

"Whatever! Bye. I need to use toilet." she rushed out the words and ended the call, before I could respond.

From Mina's voice, I could tell she was indeed sick, otherwise, she would have tried defending herself.

I stood up, grabbed my bag and walked out of the classroom.

I head straight to the parking lot, where my car was parked and got in. Twisting the key in the ignition, the car roared to life and I drove out of the school and headed to Mina's house.

Due to how terrible the traffic was in the country, I got stuck up again. I was beginning to get frustrated inside the car,  waiting for the green light to turn on so I could leave the place.

I heard a knock on my tinted car glass, only for me to turn and see one dirty hand with stinky cloth advertising whatsoever she was selling.

I came out of the car and then slapped her on her cheeks. "How dare you use your dirty hand to knock on my window? And what made you think  I'm going to buy water from you? See, let me tell you, even if I'm thirsty, I will rather die than to buy water from a stinky girl like you." I fumed.

I was about do enter my car, when I saw that guy with dimple — the same one I bought water from the other day, rushing towards us.

I thought he wanted to asked if I was okay, but instead, he asked the dirty girl what was wrong.

She told him everything that transpired between us and how I slapped her for touching my window.

Before I could even get the chance to enter my car,  someone had already slapped me hard on my cheeks. I raise my face to see who it was and got the shock of my life. I could feel my heart skip a beat and my stomach twist a tight knot, when I saw the guy I had a crush on, ever since the first day our gazes met. He was the one that raised his hand and slapped me hard across the cheek.

I was trying my best not to let my pride get the best of me,  as tears threaten to stream down my cheeks, but I managed to blink them back.

And the idiot,  lowlife still had the guts to tell me rubbish, that I didn't have the right to slap his sister and that my father's money wouldn't be enough to buy her in any way. He also added that my car is just a trash in someone else's house, as if he could even afford  it.

How dare he insult me that way! In my entire twenty years of existence, nobody had ever raised his filthy hand on me before — not even my mom that is very strict.

The guy obviously didn't know what a millionaire's daughter was capable of doing.  I vowed to let him know that nobody dare touch the only heiress to Agogo family and go scot free. I would make sure to show him what a millionaire's money could do to change his whole life into unforgettable disaster.

With that being said, I furiously got inside my car, tears rolling down my cheeks.
