chapter 63

I feel someone pick me up and instantly open my eyes. I see that I'm in Damien's arms. "Good to see that you're awake." I can tell that he is teasing me from the tone of his voice. I start to squirm for him to put me down.

Once he puts me down I stretch and look around the room. I see that Xavier is still at his desk doing work. I groan at the thought of being in this room any longer. I can't go back to sleep since I'm fully awake now.

I hear a chuckle and see that Damien is looking at me with amusement. I look away and start to walk back towards the couch. I feel a hand on my wrist and is pulled back into a hard chest. "When did I say that you can walk away?" I don't answer because I'm in a daze from the force of his pull. I feel a harsh hit on my butt and quickly snap out of my thoughts.

"I thought that I was able to walk back to the couch since you guys are clearly not done with your work," I say in duh tone. Xavier's head snaps up at my tone and he starts to get up. I back away from him but Damien has other thoughts. He pulls me to him and holds me still while his brother takes menacing steps towards us.

Once Xavier is in front of us he grips me chin tightly and pulls me to him. I'm on my tippy toes just trying to reach him. "You're going to be punished for that. You won't be punished now but just wait." He lets go of my face and walks back to his desk. I gulp audible.

"I'm going to take you to get something to eat." I just nod my head and follow Damien out the door. I just hope that they forget to punish me. We walk into the kitchen and sit down at the table. A maid puts a plate in front of me. I eat then I notice that Damien doesn't have a plate.

"Are you not going to eat?" I'm very confused as to why you would go into the kitchen and not eat anything. He just shakes his head and stares at me. I really hate when people stare at me. It makes me feel awkward. I go back to eating wanting to leave this awkward situation.

Once I'm done I stand up and wait for Damien to get up so we can go back into that boring room. Once I walk into the room I go to walk over to the couch. "Come over here." I walk over to Xavier and stand in front of the desk.

"Come. Here. Now." I walk over to his side and he pulls me down onto his lap. I hate being in his lap. It's more boring than just being in here. I lean my head on his shoulder and just sit there hoping that I will get bored of the ceiling and go to sleep.

Of course that didn't happen thanks to my wild imagination. I try to close my eyes and that doesn't help as it still shows up. I guess I won't be going to sleep at all. I pick my head up and look at what he is doing. I try to read his work but everything is in a different language. I turn my head to see Damien at the other desk doing work.

He looks more intimidating doing his work. That makes me a little scared as I'm used to him being nice and carefree. I don't know why this is so shocking as he is in the mafia. I guess I just couldn't see someone like him as a part of the mafia.

I get this thought that they will probably disagree with but I just need to ask them. I have a mental argument and finally get the strength to ask them. I take a deep breath and prepare myself with their reactions.

"Can I walk around the mansion and just explore?" I don't even think that they even thought of an answer before they answered me.

"No." Wow that was fast. I won't give up this easy though. I want to know the area great enough so that I can escape easily.

"Please? I promise I won't try to escape. One of you guys can even go with me. You could send a guard with me." I beg them. Hopefully they can hear the desperation in my voice. I hear them sigh and they both look at me. I do the puppy dog thing and look back and forth.

"You can walk around. We will know if you try to escape. Trust me you won't want to try to make your punishment worse." I nod my head and hug both of them and run out of the treacherous room. I start to walk around just looking at the great design of the house. I haven't found anything helpful.

I start to walk further and see multiple maids. They all stop when they see me and some give me some dirty looks. Some just look at me shocked and with curiosity. Some start to whisper to me and I just walk past feeling very awkward at the moment. I give them that signature awkward smile. I'm almost out of the hallway when a couple of girls walk in front of me.

"You're such a slut for taking my men. I bet you think that you're so much better than us because you're getting attention from them. Well news flash you mean nothing to them and you're just a booty call. I'm their queen and they always come back to me." The girls behind her just nod and agree with her.

"If you meant so much to them they wouldn't have come to me. Quit trying to get some guys attention if they clearly don't want you. If you were their queen why aren't you with them. I don't want them so you can take them since you want them so bad. Also I'm not a slut. I didn't even have s3x with them."

I go to walk away but the girl pulls me back. "Don't think that you're all that just cause you know how to stand up for yourself. I'm the real queen so don't forget that. My name's Chloe, soon to be Queen so don't forget it." She slaps me after that but this time I don't just sit there. I'm not going to let anybody just push me around.

I slap her and then grab her hair pulling her into me. "Don't get me fooled. I'm not someone that you can just mess with. You want to know something funny? You weren't the only girl that came to me saying the same thing. Clearly they have been messing with other women. Keep your hands to yourself and I'll keep my hands to myself." Once I'm done I walk away. A pit of guilt walking with me as I walk away.

I shouldn't have done that. Clearly she was trying to get a reaction out of me and she got that. I shouldn't have given her that satisfaction. I walk around some more and walk back to the office. I go over to Xavier and he pulls me down onto his lap.

"If you keep leaving me and coming back with a mark on your face then I will never let you go. Tell who did it and they will pay."

"Wait she has been hit before." I roll my eyes at Damien's statement.

"I already dealt with it. You don't need to do anything."

"Oh that's nice for you. I still want the name of the person who thought they could put their hands on you and get away with it."

"It was-" I was cut off by the door opening.

"You guys should see what some bitch just did to me. She thought that she could just put her hands on your queen and get away with it. You guys need to put her in her place. What the fuck is she doing in your lap." I guess she finally noticed that I was in here. This feels just like déjà vu.
