She had used up her monthly earnings from two jobs to pay off loans for her mother's medication and her sister's college expenses, Darby, now almost 18. Anxious and desperate for money, Alodia calls her late father's mistress slash new wife Angelie to borrow money because she didn't have collateral for a bank loan.
Angelie tells her they have to meet up in person soon because she didn't trust sending large amounts of money through online bank transfers.
Alodia cries and thanks Angelie but knows she would have to repay the money soon so she comes to work at the bar even if it was her birthday. They only had cheap spaghetti and ice cream and couldn't even afford a small cake to celebrate the occasion.
That same night, Alodia meets Leandro at the lounge where she performed for about an hour, singing and dancing. Her 25th birthday seems to be shaping up when an old customer tries to harrass her and book her for a VIP room, which means the DOM wants to pay her for sex. She tries to push him off but he becomes belligerent.
