“You are sure this is what you want, Aika? To be with this man, forever?”

“Yes father. That is all I want. I love him. He means the world to me.” Aika answered King Aidan confidently in his room. Aika stand by a small table while his father sat on the bed. Concern etched on his face.

“What if he hurts you?”

“He won’t.”

“How can you be sure?”

“You  know.”

“But I don’t.”

“The goddess will tell you.”

“But she did not!” King Aidan’s voice boom inside his sleeping quarters. Queen Aaliyah sat on the chair by the table, holding Aika’s hand.

“What do you mean, father?”

King Aidan sigh. Fear burns deep in her chest at his uncertainty.

“I have seen so many visions in my past. I even receive message from the Goddess herself no matter what circumstance or situation, be it big or small that our people may go through. I have known about most things but only you. Only your future remains a mystery to me, my love. I see nothing. I hear nothing. I fear something bad will happen to you. That bea..I mean man you wish to be with for the rest of your life will be the end of you. I do not say this just because I do not like him but I say this for I feel that he or his family or his people will end up hurting you.”

Aika looks down. His words do worries her but she knows that her choice was limited. There was no way she can choose a life without Romanov.

“I have made up my mind, dada. I love him. I trust him, he won’t hurt me. I know it in my heart.” Her words were weak for as much as she believes that Romanov do love her, a part of her was in doubt whether he would ever hurt her. It upsets her that she felt unsure.

King Aidan stare at her for a moment. He closes his eyes and sigh. He felt defeated and he walks up to Aika and hugs her.

“I wish you a great life, my daughter. I love you so much. I only wish for you to be happy.”

He moves back, letting his wife hugs her daughter.

“My sweet princess. How have you grown up? I am so proud of you. I love you very much.” She whispers into her ear. Aika smiled and can’t help but letting go of the tears that drips with happiness.

The scene shifted to Aika already packed with her trunks by the barrier and King Aidan with Queen Aaliyah standing near them. She was holding hand with Romanov. Both beaming with joy. Hundreds of Zhatierians knight stayed behind them while King Aidan wave his hand to remove the barrier around Zhatier temporarily. All the citizens of Zhatier was behind them too, all crying out to Aika. Wishing her all the best in life and farewell. Some are crying while others stay strong and prayed for her good will, Aika was their beloved princess after all.

Aika end up becoming emotional with all the goodbyes dedicated to her. It breaks her heart knowing she will start living a foreign land away from her family but Romanovs warm hand assure her that she has nothing to be afraid about. He is there to take care of her and she has full trust in that.

She turns next to her and see Khalid stand beside her. His face voids of any emotion while he holds a huge sack filled with his clothes hanging on his back. She smiled knowing Khalid will stay with her as he had promised her parents with Marion flying on top of her. Her true friend indeed. She gave one last hug and kisses to her parents and leave Zhatier one last time. Hoping that it won’t be her last. She steps out of the barrier to see about twenty to thirty men dressed in intimidating black clothes with wolf’ insignia sewn on their shoulder stands around them.

Romanov raised his voice, “This is Princess Aikaterina Carissa Zhateira. Your new queen. Hail to Queen Aikaterina!”

All men knelt and repeat his chant. Aika smiled, a part of her happy that most of his men accepted her but she also sees some men was staring daggers into her. She turns to Khalid and also see anger in her eyes, surrounded by his enemies but he remains standing with his head held high and his long white hair braided to the side. Aika sighed nervously and she raise dher head, smiled as she tells herself that she was ready for what to come.
