chapter 6

Selena had never felt this invisible before. She was staring at a top dominant alpha, but he looked more of an ant to her. Her ego had grown, and fear was not within her emotions anymore. As her eyes searched across the room, every dominant alpha bodyguard seemed like a feeble species to her, and Selena could not wait to crush them all.

"Brook! Get out of there. She is not an ordinary omega!" Mel screamed.

However, it was too late for Brook. His hands started rising towards his throat against his will. He tried to make it stop, but they got stuck to his neck and began to squeeze it tightly.

"Please, stop! I am sorry." Brook cried as he started compressing the life out of his body.

"I don't allow you to stop strangling until your last breath!" Selena ordered with a mischievous grin, and Brook could do nothing but follow her command.

"You two! Go in there and stop her." Mel commands the other guards. They hesitated at first, but Mel was deputy, and they could not disobey his words.

The two bodyguards ran into the cell. As they were about to attack Selena, she turned her head and whispered, "I need you guys to fight to the death, and the winner will kill himself afterward."

Her words sank into their minds, and in no time, they were brutally bashing each other. The light in Brook's eyes slowly faded away, and he lifelessly fell to the ground.

Selena turned toward the cell gate and walked past the two bloodied and wounded bodyguards attacking each other. She stepped through the gates and gazed with pleasure in her eyes as she stared at the remaining bodyguard.

"How about you all find your partner and take them to the afterlife with you?" Selena announces, and immediately every guard in the room chooses another guy to fight.

The battle lasted for an hour, and Selena stood there, watching as their blood spilled from every angle of the room. When the last bodyguard dropped dead, Selena's eyes turned gray again, and she looked in horror at the lifeless bodies of twelve men. Her eyes widened from fright, and she screamed so loud that the sound vibrated into the wall.

Gabriel's eyes slowly changed back to their original color, and he became conscious again. His energy felt depleted, almost like someone had invaded his body and absorbed his power.

"Sir, is everything all right?" Bob asked. He had been watching his young master acting subconsciously for about one hour without saying or doing anything.

"I don't know," Gabriel murmured.

He had this weird feeling that something was not right, yet Gabriel could not tell what wasn't right with him.

"What's the time, Bob?" Gabriel asked, still feeling drained and confused. His eyes were dim, and his body felt vulnerable. He could barely see the time on the dashboard.

"It is eight pm, sir!" Bob replied.

"The party started an hour ago! Why didn't you wake me from whatever was happening to me? I am sure I would have been fine, and we wouldn't be one hour late right now!" Gabriel complained as he started the car.

The vehicle when in front a little before it harshly stops, rocking Gabriel and Bob back and forth.

"I am sorry, sir. But you are in no good condition to drive. Please give me the keys." Bob pleaded.

Gabriel looked at his butler, and Bob seemed like two Bobs in his eyes. Instantly he knew that his butler was right and gave the car key to him.

They swiped places, and Bob drove back on the main road.

Selena sat on the bloody tiles and bitterly sobbed. She did not know what happened. One minute she's about to get raped by Brook and the next she is in the midst of dead bodies.

"Creak!" The prison door sounded, and Selena stood up in fear. She did not know what would happen next, and it worried her as she heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Oh My God!" Janet screamed at the horrific scene in the room. She looked to the right and saw Selena standing in fear with her ripped clothes and bruised body.

"Oh, child. You might have felt absolutely terrified to do such a thing to these guards," Janet said as she surveyed the bodies.

When Janet reached Brook's body, she noticed that his hands were still tightly clutching around his neck. Janet then looked at the other two bodyguards inside the cell and saw one with a dagger stabbed into his stomach with his own hands.

"You did not kill them. They killed themselves. But why and how?" Janet stated in disbelief. She had seen nothing like this in her entire life.

Selena was not listening to a word that Janet was saying. She felt cold, hungry, and in pain. Yet none of those things matter as much as she wanted to get to the party.

"Help me, please!" Selena cried.

Her plea caught Janet's attention. She walked up to Selena and gently put her right hand around Selena's shoulder.

"Child, I know this is partly not your fault. But if my young master comes back and sees his best guards dead, I don't think he will spare your life. I can help you escape right now. Follow me!" Janet said. She said walking toward the steps but noticed that Selena was not following her. Janet turned around and stared at Selena.

"I can't leave like this. Please help me." Selena begged.

Janet wasn't sure if helping Selena with other stuff would be the right choice. But she could see the brokenness in Selena's eyes and felt sympathy toward her.

"What can I help you with, child?" Janet said.

"I need a ball gown and a herb to help mask my scent. You see, my boyfriend rejected me and betrayed me for my cousin, and I need to pay them back tonight for everything they have done to me. So I am begging you to help me out. Please!!!" Selena desperately implored.

"Okay! I will assist you. But only because I believe you are the righteous person in this situation." Janet said with a smile. She knew what she was about to do would get her in trouble, yet Janet just could not refuse a hopeless soul.

She secretly took Janet to Gabriel's room and locked the door behind them. Janet then hurried to his closet and took out the stunning fancy dress she saw.

"Wow, your master must be wealthy and powerful to live in such a luxurious mansion," Selena said as she twirled around in the room, admiring the beautiful architecture and interior design of Gabriel's room.

"Yes, he is a powerful man. Now go and change into this dress. I will get the herb from downstairs for you." Janet replied.

Janet left, and Selena was alone. She inspected the dress details with admiration in her eyes. When Selena gazes at the snowflakes on the blue gown, they appear so real and magical. She knew that the person the dress got made for was someone very extraordinary since every single pattern on it was perfect.

Selena then took off her trousers and her bra. She slipped her legs into the gown and wore it. After Selena zipped up the dress, she gazed at herself in the mirror, and adored her gorgeous reflection.
