LOGINLiam's POV
I walked out of the restaurant before I completely lose my temper. I wasn't very good at controlling my temper and Patricia was making it so difficult for me to stay calm. I had to clear my head. If it wasn't for her presence I would have broken a few ribs of my so called friends. They were sired to me. I created then. They weren't the only ones. There might have been thousands I never really kept track. But Samuel, Oliver and Benjamin remained loyal and never left my side. I can be ruthless and wouldn't have cared who was present when I'm mad. Patricia was a different story. I didn't want to reveal my true identity to her yet. I don't think she's ready. I wanted to protect her and make sure she doesn't get involve with my kind but how can I when I was like a moth being consumed by her fire. It was almost nightfall when they arrived at their house.
"Liam." They bowed their heads upon seeing me.
"That wasn't really clever of you guys planning the masquerade without my permission!."
"We wanted to let you know but we weren't able to get in touch with you. You've been always away for the past weeks." Oliver replied.
"I think I know the reason now." Benjamin chuckling. "Are you enjoying the young girl's pussy?"
"Do not ever talk about her!" I choked him and slammed him against the wall.
"Is there something you're not telling us?" Samuel asked.
"Do I have to explain myself to any of you?" I was starting to get furious. "Whatever is between me and Patricia is none of your business. And did I not tell you to stay away from Mikel?!"
"Liam, I wish I can. But I think I love him." He admitted.
"Love him? A human life is too short and fragile. Can you bear seeing him in a coffin?!"
"I can turn him." Samuel stated.
"And what expose our existence to Patricia. I would not let you do that Samuel."
"If your so wrap around this girl. Why don't you just turn her? So Sam can have his man by his side." Benjamin butt in.
"Shut up. None of you is going to ever speak her name or get near her. She's not yet ready to know about our kind. She's too broken for that."
"Since when have you been seeing her? You seemed so concern. Are you starting to care for a human?" Samuel responded.
"I've always cared for humans. We were once humans after all."
"Excuse me. I have to take this." Samuel stated and answered his phone. "What?! Mikel slow down. I can't understand you." He stated worriedly after a few seconds. "What's wrong with Trish?!"
"What happened?" I grabbed his phone and they all just stare at me. "Talk to me dammit." I said furiously to Mikel.
"We're here at St. Luke's Hospital. She's been shot."
I toss the phone on the floor and made my way to the hospital. I didn't bother to use my car instead I run to the hospital. If only I've stayed by her side this shouldn't have happened. I found Mikel crying on the lobby and I approach him. I was so worried.
"What happened?" I ask him.
"I got a call... and.." He was hysterical again and couldn't speak.
"Look at me. Calm down." I compelled him. "Tell me what happen."
"The police called me since I was her number one contact and told me her house was ambushed and the rooftop of her porch collapsed. She was with Scott and police says he was the target."
"Who's Scott?" I asked.
"Trish's ex. Anyways, she was taken in the operating room an hour ago but I haven't heard any updates yet." Mikel stated.
"I shouldn't have left her side. Where is that Scott now?" I was really furious.
"He died. I didn't even know he was seeing her. Maybe they just run into each other today." He stated.
"Probably."
It made sense. I was following her for weeks. I would have known if she was seeing someone. Sam and Oliver came to the hospital and waited for with us for any updates. Benjamin, went over the police station to find out more about what really happened. I was so worried and I was pacing back and forth in front of the operating room. A doctor came out and told us the operation was successful but she was still unconscious and her vitals were not normal.
"The operation was successful. But there are still some test that needs to be done. However, her health insurance doesn't cover those test so we can't conduct them." The doctor explained. "She's in the ICU right now."
"What?" MIkel stated worriedly. "How much are these?" He looked at the list of laboratories and medical test that needs to be conducted. "Can we see her?"
"Do all the test that she needs. I'll pay for all the expenses." I stated.
"You need to go the cashier for the prices and also we need a guardians consent for the MRI and other test. That would be issued once payment has been settled."
"Settle the bill, Samuel." I ordered and he immediately left with Mikel and Oliver. "Can I see her?"
"I'm sorry but no visitors can enter the ICU unless it's a family member."
"You will let me see her, doctor." I compelled her. "And you would start doing the test she needs now. Do you understand."
"Yes, sir." She responded like a robot.
"Hello, love." I was so furious when I saw her. "I shouldn't have left your side. I'm sorry baby. This is my fault. I swear, I'll find out who did this to you and I'll kill them with my bare hands." I run my fingers on her bruised arms and walked out the room.
"We already settled the payment. How is he she?" Samuel asked when they saw me outside the ICU.
"I don't know. I can't watch her in that condition." I replied breathing slowly trying to calm myself.
"Oh my gosh." Mikel started crying again. "Can I see her?"
"Of course, stay here I'll talk to the nurse." Samuel stated and compelled the nurse to let Mikel watch over Patricia.
"I need fresh air. Stay here and keep me updated."
"I can go with you." Oliver volunteered.
"No need just stay here." I went outside to wait for Benjamin at the parking lot.
"I'm such a great guy." Benjamin stated happily when he arrived at the hospital.
"What have you got?" I stated coldly.
"I know where to find them. Would you like me to tip the police about their whereabouts?"
"No, I would take care of them myself." I replied. "Let's go."
"As you wish." Benjamin replied and we got in his car.
Benjamin is someone who wouldn't mind killing a few humans so I let him come. Samuel and Oliver had a soft spot for them. They'd try to stop me and try to talk some sense out of me. But I was beyond furious. No one would be able to change my mind. Benjamin is thrust worthy and he would always have my back. He maybe stubborn at times and reckless but we have gone a long way. He earned my trust and I know that he would do anything I ask. No questions asked.
"What the plan?" He asked as he started driving.
"I would kill every single one of them." I replied.
"Nice plan. But they are heavily armed. May I be of any assistance?" He offered.
"Sure." I replied dismissively.
"Thanks. I've been dying to taste some fresh human blood for weeks."
We went to their hideout and massacre all of them. Benjamin and I drunk their blood. I ripped of their heads and broke all their limbs. I made sure that each of them had suffered a long a painful death. Benjamin covered our tracks and burned down the whole place. That was another expertise Benjamin have, he was very good at covering his tracks. He made it looked like an accident. That the fire was not intentional. I left him to deal with it and went back to the hospital feeling satisfied with our handiwork.
"How is she?" I asked when I saw Samuel walking at the lobby carrying some food for Mikel.
"Not, okay." He responded. "What have you done?" He asked when he saw my face.
"Nothing that you should care about." I stated dismissively.
"What the fuck, Liam? Six people murdered in cold blood would stir a huge investigation."
"Samuel, do not take me for a fool." I glared at him. "I needed to execute them. Jail isn't a punishment they deserved. That's just a salvation for them."
"You're being irrational." He stated angrily.
"No, I'm being true to my word." I replied. "Now, let's perform a medical miracle." I stated.
"Are you crazy? I thought you didn't want her to know about our kind."
"I wouldn't completely heal her. I'll just give her some of my blood to make her recovery faster."
"The others wouldn't sit well with this when they found out that you are risking our existence to save her. What would happen if we get exposed and humans learn our blood is a cure."
"Shut up, Samuel. You are the only one who knows about my plans. So if anyone else learned about this it's on you." I warned.
Vampire blood can heal any form of human disease. As a vampire, we can easily heal from our wounds quicker and not get affected by any human virus or illness. I took a small vial of my blood and injected it to Patricia. Samuel was against it. He said it would be something difficult to explain but right now I didn't care. All I want is to make sure that she survives. After an hour, she woke up and her ventilator was removed. She was transferred to a private room after some examinations. Mikel was so happy and couldn't contain his excitement.
"Oh baby girl, I was so worried. Thank goodness you're awake." He was crying as he held her hand. "I'm so happy."
"You should let her rest." The doctor advised. "She needs it to recover faster." She injected some pain reliever in her IV line. "And it would be best to have no visitors for now. One watcher should be fine and if anything goes wrong just press this buzzer." She smiled at us.
"Sure, doc. Thank you." I smiled at her as she left. "You guys should go. I'll stay here."
"You don't really need to do this." Mikel stated. "I can stay with her. You've already done more than enough paying for the bills and all."
"Go and rest. I'll stay with her. You need some rest as well." I stated sincerely.
"Let's go, Mikel. Don't worry Liam would call us if anything happens."
I was left alone in the hospital with her. I was glad that she was already awake and that there was no major damage in her internal organs and no concussions. She had a bandage on her head due to a heavy object that have fallen on her head. She had a broken ribs and two gunshot wounds on her right shoulder and left thigh. I couldn't give her more of my blood since it would really be impossible for someone to heal so fast in a matter of days. So I let the doctors put her on medications instead.
I never left her side. I had blood delivered to me by Samuel and Oliver daily in tumblers. For the first three days, she just woke up for a few minutes and slept the whole day. The doctor explained that her body is in a lot of pain so the sedative and pain reliever makes her sleep longer. I watched her closely as she was sleeping and swore to be always by her side. There was no way I'd let any harm come to her. On the fourth day, she finally spoke.
"Hey love." I smiled at her as she looked at me. "How are you feeling?" I squeeze her hand lightly.
"Water." She replied softly.
"Of course." I assisted her and helped her drink. "How are you feeling?"
"I feel great." She replied playfully but I knew she was in pain.
"You're going to be alright." I caress her cheeks and kissed her lightly on the lips. "I was so worried about you."
"Where's Scott?" She asked out of the blue.
"He's dead." I replied coldly.
"What?!" She was obviously shocked. "How can he be dead? He just walked back in my life. Tell me your joking."
"No, I'm sorry. Police said he was already dead when they found you two." I looked at her and she was crying. "Love, don't cry." I wipe the tears off her cheeks.
"We were just talking at the porch and then suddenly there were gunshots everywhere. He tried to protect me by shielding me with his body. We ended up lying on the ground his body on top of me. Then there was an explosion and the everything else slowly became dark. I was so scared. I thought I was going to die." She explained to the police while Mikel, Samuel and I listened.
"What were you two talking about? Did he tell you about anybody trying to kill him or someone running after him?" The police officer asked.
"No." She looked at me sadly.
"I think that's enough. She already told you everything." I stated.
"We still got a few more questions."
"Look my friend is already exhausted and she's in a lot of pain." Mikel stated already pissed. "Would you stop interrogating her like a criminal."
"Samuel, please escort the officer out." I stated firmly.
"Come on. Let me show you out." Samuel compelled him. "You've got all the answers that you need and you'll make sure that no other officers would come here to question her. I don't want any of you trying to get in touch with her ever again. Do you understand?" The officer nodded as Samuel let him out.
"I was so worried about you." Mikel sat next to Patricia and embraced her.
"I'm sorry. I always make you worry."
"Are you kidding me that's what friends are for. I'm your best friend. I'd always be worried about you, baby girl. Just rest and focus on getting better. Fuck all of this."
"How I wish I can? Scott's dead." She stated sadly.
"Well, at least now we know his gone for good." Mikel teased and Patricia laughed.
"You're crazy." She stated. "I'm hungry."
"What do you want?" I butt in.
"A burger and some fries." She replied shyly.
"Okay." I smiled at her sweetly. "Let's go, Samuel. Will be back before you know it."
There was no way that Patricia was going to win this argument with me. It's been 10 days since the incident and the doctor informed us that she can already be discharged and can just recover at home. Her house was a total mess so and she can't possibly go back there after what happened. She wanted to stay at Mikel's place but he shares his apartment with some roommates. I didn't like the idea of her living together with other men. So I compelled Mikel to deny Patricia's request and just convince her to move in with me. Besides she had no place to go and she was broke.
"Why would I want to move in with you?" She stated as we were in her room while Mikel was fixing her discharge papers.
"Why not? You have no place to go." I stated. "You can't even afford to rent a place for the night."
"Thank you so much for pointing all the facts." She stated annoyed.
"Listen, I've been nothing but nice to you. Why are you making this a big deal?"
"I'm practically buried in debt to you. You paid for my hospital bills and now you're offering to let me stay in your place." She responded.
"And I'm not asking you for anything in return yet. You can pay me back once you have enough money. For now, you are stuck with me." I stated dismissively. "End of discussion."
"Hey, we already got everything ready." Mikel announced happily.
"Can I not really stay with you Mikel?" She looked at him sadly.
"Trish, baby girl. You know that'll take you in anytime but I really can't this time." Mikel replied.
"Mikel is moving in with me." Samuel butt in. "Sorry, Trish. We don't have a spare room anymore."
"What? You two are that serious." She glared at Mikel who was obviously as surprised at her,
"Yeah, we got a place where we can share with the boys and I think it will be great to be living together." Samuel stated embracing Mikel.
"Fine. Who am I too stop you from being happy? You both deserve it."
Samuel just outsmarted me. He knew that I would never allow Mikel to move in with him so he had to announce it now so Patricia would agree to stay with me. So I had no choice but let a human stay in their house. He knew how much I wanted to have Patricia under my roof. I had several places where we can stay and I choose to bring her at the penthouse I own.
"Welcome home." I whispered to her as we entered.
"Wow." Both her and Mikel exclaimed.
"This place is fucking amazing." Mikel stated.
"Where's my room?" She asked and I pointed the room next to mine.
"Don't worry. My bedroom is the one next to yours and before you complain we only have two bedrooms here."
"What about that room?" She pointed out.
"That's my office and that's off limit. You are welcome to explore everything except that room. That's house rule number one and second one is no inviting men in this house specially in your room. You can have guest but no men."
"If I'm seeing someone, I'm sure as hell not going to bring that person here."

For so many years, Machi and Yahiko merely had friendly rivalry with one another. It could be said that in those years, the two of them only saw each other as their biggest competitors. However, both of them are only around their early fifties. They grew up in the post-war period where Japan was at its weakest, most fragile moment. It was an era where people had no vision and self-esteem. They grew up during the peaceful moments and thus, there was no longer the viciousness and wickedness that their predecessors once had in their blood. That was why after competing with one another for so many years, their main motive for competition was only for business advancements. They had never had the intention of killing their opponents. It was like Alibaba and Tencent company bosses. Despite their competition being very fiery, they still abided by the laws and regulations. No matter how upset they were with one another, they will still try to remain as polite and rule-abiding as possible.

This is my first day in college. I'm excited and also nervous dahil sa panibagong mga tao na aking makikita at makikilala.
