A waitress, 19 years old, working for tips in a small diner to save up money for college. She wants to be a doctor, volunteering her free time at the local clinic. She even has passed several phlebotomy courses.
The bell dings, signaling a new customer and the quiet chatter in the diner turns to silence. Caroline turns to the door, wiping her hands on her apron. She tucks a loose strand of her red hair behind her ear as she looks to the newcomers.
A group of four men, three with guarded looks and black hair. Dark glasses hide their eyes and one of them adjusts an earpiece as he looks around the small diner. The fourth member had alert green eyes and tousled brown hair. A light smirk lit up his features as they made eye contact.
She felt her face flush as she approached the men, "Welcome to the Wolf's Den Diner. I'm Caroline and I'll be your server today. Would you like a booth or a table?"
"A booth please Miss Caroline." The man with green eyes says, his voice like silk. "And may we have some coffee please?"
"O-of course, right this way." She stutters softly, turning to lead the group to a back corner booth. As they settle in she passes around the menus. "I'll be right back with that coffee."
"Thank you." He says, flashing her a wide smile that made her heart skip a beat.
Certain she was blushing like a little kid, she hurried over to the counter and picked up a serving tray. She carefully places four mugs and a pitcher of coffee on the tray before returning to the table.
The three mysterious men were talking in hushed tones but dropped the conversation abruptly as she approached.
"Fresh, hot coffee." She says, pouring the coffee and passing the mugs around the table. Holding the now empty serving tray to her chest, she asks, "May I get you something to eat?"
"Not at this time, thank you." The man with green eyes says, smiling at her.
"Alright, well just call me if you change your mind. Remember, my name's Caroline." Then she turned and walked away.

Daisy found nobody in the room and the door was also closed. She was feeling dizzy and weak but still while staggering she managed to stand up from the bed. Taking slow careful steps, she started walking towards the door, supporting the bed. She was feeling that suddenly her body started feeling heavy. Even walking was difficult for her. The gown, she was wearing was not of her size. It was a little loose but she felt comfortable in it.S
On the the third floor, one of those lace barriers twitched. A shadow moved past, just a flicker of darkness, so fast it almost escaped Crook's enhanced scrutiny. The signet ring on his right finger hummed against his skin, hot and urgent. He glanced down at the ring.A hot, solid wave of energy slammed against his expanded thoughts. His head snapped back from the rush of power. His mind folded in on itself and his perceptions screeched down to normal speed so abruptly he almost stumbled. His ears rang. His jaw ached from clenching his teeth-and from- from what.A mental slap?Had somebody really slapped him? He rubbed the space between his right eye and his chin. Damned if it didn't burn. What the hell? Some kind of barrier. Some kind of elemental protections? The beast inside him wanted to snarl and retreat, but he couldn't let that happen. He was here in New York city, with his partner Andy, poking around on the ritualistic murder of a senator'
"I'm sorry, Tayla. If only I can make you stay in our house, I would. But you know our house is not that big and my Mom is a human Armalite, right?" Ella scratched her head and hold the edge of the map, glancing at me before she continued mopping the floor. We are again, in Talk and Chill. Tomorrow I wouldn't be here for the class will start and I need a place where I can stay. Unluckily, Ella, my best friend just told me that she's wasn't able to offer me a hand.I sighed. "I understand, Ella. Thanks for telling me early." I turned around and went towards the sink to wash the dishes, my lips twisting a bit as I thought...why are we getting paid under minimum wage when we do almost all kinds of things in this chill bar? We should at least have an increase."Tayla, I don't understand you. When your parents died, your Aunt Tanya stood as your guardian, but why are you planning to leave your own house?" She stood up and glanced at me with her bewildered, round eyes
