LOGIN"Hey Suzanne!" Annabelle rushed to Suzanne's desk.
Suzanne kept her books inside her bag.
"Let's go home, I'm ready," Suzanne said looking at her.
"No..., no time for that! C'mon! Let's go quickly before it's all filled up!" Annabelle said breathlessly and grabbed Suzanne's wrist and yanked her out of their classroom.
Annabelle ran across the hallway, pulling Suzanne along.
The hallway was unusally crowded as people were headed the same direction as Annabelle.
Annabelle roughly shoved some people aside as she made her way through until they got to the front.
It was rowdy as lots of people were yelling at each other, shoving themselves as they held their pens.
What's happening?
Suzanne wondered with wide eyes as she saw Ethan holding a fistful of someone's cloth angrily. A senior that was in C-rank was trying to seperate the two boys.Suzanne looked to her left and saw Ava creating a small space around her as she cracked her whip in the air making people move back fearfully.
Ava laughed manaically as she cracked her whip again.
Reece snatched someone's pen when the boy was hotly yelling at another boy while Reece snuck away into the crowd to avoid being seen. Ashley and Janet were waiting patiently by a senior C-rank. Edward was standing by them. He was leaning on a nearby wall with his lollipop in his mouth.
Dick was trying to shut the lid of his worm jar as he was being shoved around by the crowd. Aurora had a scowl on her face as she walked in and saw the huge crowd.
Suzanne also saw Ryan and Dylan talking in a corner. Not too close to the rowdy crowd. Some girls were oogling at Ryan but he ignored them coldly.
Suzanne shuddered when she remembered she used to be like them once before.
Annabelle tried to squeeze her way to where a long list of some sort was on a table but the C-ranks in the senior classes that ought to supervise the list blocked her from passing through.
"No one is signing up until I see a queue!" A senior C-rank warned all of them sternly in his loudest voice.
Suddenly a sharp whistle rang out.
Snow had arrived.
Groans were heard from all corners of the crowd as Snow stood on a table and was a head above everyone.
The C-rank that was in charge looked relieved at her arrival.
Snow shot them all a stern look.
"Everyone! On a queue now!" She ordered in a firm voice.
"Maybe I made the mistake of not smashing that stupid whistle hard enough the first time," Reece muttered under his breath.
Some people were stubborn and replied haughtily that she wasn't the boss of them and there was nothing she could do about it.
Nothing eh?Snow smirked knowingly.
"It's okay kid," the C-rank was telling her. "Just get down. We'll handle everything."
He stretched his hand to help her down but she ignored it.
Edward put on his earpiece immediately while Janet and Ashley held their ears.
Ryan rolled his eyes. He knew she would blow her whistle again.
As if on cue Snow blew her whistle.
The shrill sound was terrifying and so awfully loud.
"Man, I hate shrill like noises," Luke scowled at Snow as he covered his ears with his hands.
A lot of people also covered their ears but they could still hear the annoying sound.
Snow suddenly stopped. She kept a hand on her hip firmly and looked at the huge crowd.
"Everyone on a queue now! And until you're in a queue I won't stop blowing my whistle!" She said and resumed blowing her whistle again.
Even the C-rank that stood by the table she was standing on covered his ears tightly.
Almost immediately, everyone scrambled to be on a line.
"Five lines!" The C-rank managed to yell at them because if they all were to be on a line it would be extremely long.
After a while of feets shuffling and ears twiching, everyone was queueing like they ought to.
Snow then stopped blowing her whistle.
"Good."
People were seething with rage at the way she commanded them but they knew any little outburst from them would make her blow her whistle again.
Ryan looked at Snow.
She jumped down from the table and her white hair flew as she landed.
Snow went to the sign up sheet and put her name down before cheerily walking away.
He stared at her as she boldly marched between the rows of people, passing his own row in the process.
On an impulse he reached out as she was passing by him and grabbed her arm.
The fierce look she threw his way would be enough to make anyone cower but Ryan wasn't fazed by it.
She knew Ryan wanted to complain about her whistle as most people did.
"What?" She cocked an eyebrow at him fearlessly.
He gazed into her stormy gray eyes.
"It would be better you don't blow that whistle because of every little thing, people could dislike you for that you know," he told her coolly.
She shrugged his hand off her arm.
"I don't really care about what anyone thinks. If they do not observe decorum, I willblow my whistle. If you have an issue with that then it's your problem," she jutted her chin defiantly at him before turning around to walk away.
Ryan pursed his lips.
How dare she address me in a brazen way?
"Hey, Snow," he called after her and she looked back with her eyebrow raised. "Don't be irritating," he told her coldly.
She actually laughed.
"You think your small insults would affect me?" She smiled coyly. "I have an elder brother."
She then laughed and walked away.
Ryan frowned slightly before facing forward.
In his life there were two girls that really didn't care about who he was and didn't mind cautioning him when he is wrong.
One was Ashley while the other one was Snow.
But the difference was while Ashley was calm and sweet. Snow was brazen -faced.
If he scowled at Ashley she would just shake her head or smile back at him but Snow would scowl back at him.
Snow, she always made his blood boil with her daring acts.
He shook his head when his line began to move.
Why am I even comparing them?
After a long while everyone dispersed.
Andrew, Suzanne, Annabelle and Justin all headed out of the school and walked to the bus stop. Luckily they had all signed their names down on the sign up sheet for night school.
"Andrew, I didn't see you when everyone was signing up," Annabelle said.
"That's right! I didn't see you either!" Suzanne said, turning to Justin.
Justin patted her brown hair. "I signed two days ago. There's no sense in signing at the deadline."
Suzanne looked away.
"No, I didn't mean--" A cold sweat dropped from his head. She had signed up very close to the deadline.
Andrew chuckled.
"You find this amusing?" Justin asked, sharply turning to shoot a glare at Andrew.
Andrew faced him coolly. "Yes, I do."
Annabelle made a disgusting face.
"Gross, it sounded like you are trying to wed him and then you said, 'I do.'" Annabelle said.
Suzanne laughed at that.
Justin smiled a little while Andrew just rolled his eyes.
They arrived at the bus stop and very soon a green double decker bus drove by.
They all boarded it.
Soon enough it came to a stop at Andrew and Suzanne's bus stop.
"Bye!" Justin waved as they got off. Annabelle just waved but she didn't say anything.
"Byeeee!" Suzanne waved vigourously as the bus drove away.
She and Andrew walked down the street.
"Why did you even sign up for night school? You're smart enough as it is," Suzanne said as they walked.
"Sometimes it's not only the studying that's involved Suzanne," Andrew replied curtly, both of his hands were in his pockets.
"I always wanted to ask," Suzanne started, holding her bags straps.
Andrew rolled his eyes.
"Why were you mad at me that time CIN left us in the jungle?" She asked looking a bit puzzled.
Andrew paused in his walking. Suzanne also halted in her tracks the same time he did.
He then resumed walking and Suzanne walked as well.
"I wasn't mad at you," Andrew said finally. He looked away, "I was mad at the fact that you sounded a lot like I did when I was younger."
Suzanne didn't say anything, her hold on her bag straps tightened.
They reached Andrew's house.
He paused at his door and glanced back at her with a side of his eyes.
"I and my elder brother had a fight before....," he paused and closed his eyes.
"Before he died."
He then entered his house and closed the door shut.
Suzanne kept staring at his door for some time.
"You're late again, Andrew."
His dad was saying in a stern voice but she didn't bother to eavesdrop anymore she just walked on.
She now knew that reason he signed up for night school.
To avoid his father.
She thought.
As they neared Alex's official building; Ethan, Suzanne, Ashley and Andrew fell behind Ryan, discussing in low tones.Ryan walked ahead of them."We need to know his favorite flavor so we'll bake everything today," Ashley told them."Yeah, but how can we ask him without his being suspicious?" Suzanne asked her in a hushed tone."I'll do it!" Ethan said and quickly walked up to Ryan."Why that nitwit!"Suzanne hissed. "He's going to mess things up!" She said turning to Ashley and Andrew."Hey Ryan," Ethan said once he got to him. Ryan glanced at him with the side of how eyes.
"Alright team!" Ashley started as she paced back and forth in front of her teammates."Let's cook!"She looked at her younger sister who held lots of aprons in a box. Ashley grabbed three and passed it on to Suzanne, Andrew and Ethan."But first, we need aprons," she smiled as she gave it to them.Andrew looked bored as he put his on. It was dark blue in color and it had a pink heart in the center. He also rolled up the sleeves of his light green hoodie least it got stained.Suzanne looked away as she quickly put on the white apron that Ashley had given her. It had flowery patterns all over it.Andrew looks kinda cute domesti
They all tensed when the door bell rang again."Maybe it's Uncle Ted?" Ashley stated doubtfully.Andrew glanced at his watch. "That's not possible, he went to Zuba did he not? He can't be back by now. Anyhow get the door," he turned to Ethan and Suzanne, "We'll stay out of sight in case it's someone other than your Uncle."As they all stood up the door bell rang again, followed by three knocks on the door. Then a voice."Ashley?"They all froze."It's Ryan!"Ethan said in a loud whisper."Go, go, go...," Ashley shooed them and they disappeared into the k
Suzanne entered the yellow bus that pulled up at the bus-stop. She got a seat by the window side and looked out at the scenery as the bus drove by.Believe it or not it was Ryan's birthday and they had some things left to do but Alex had sent them all a text about a mission in a certain location.Suzanne sighed again.Andrew had told she, Ethan and Ashley to bring their bagpacks along with their party dresses and work clothes in it as they were coming so right after the mission it would be easy to head to Potter's field and also change.Already as it was the Squad 15 and Jamie were already at the venue, spicing things up.Shane and his football buddies were also helping out in exchange
"Sorry I'm late!" Suzanne said as she rushed into Blueberry café.All eyes turned to her. She looked around nervously when she saw she attracted stares. She sheepishly walked over to where Alex, Andrew and Ryan were seated in a stall."Um....where's everyone else?" She asked once she had greeted Alex and she was settled comfortable in a seat beside Ryan's."Beats me," Ryan shrugged. Not too long after, Ashley and Ethan both entered at the same time.Ethan was munching some cookies, it was not so hard to link up what had truely happened. Ethan had gone to Ashley's house first because he wanted a cookie and hence delayed the both of them as Ashley just had to bake a fresh set.
Ryan entered his bedroom and sat on his grand king-sized bed that had expensive-looking violet silk sheets, all draped around it.He glanced at his phone that laid on his nightstand and grabbed it.
