LOGINThe boat docked.
The water had really been the fastest route they could take.
The port was extremely busy as people walked up and down, boarding huge ships while some well built men hauled huge vessels into their containers.
"We've arrived at civilization," Ryan said pleased.
Their boat struck dry land making them all jolt forward.
Ethan was the first to jump out of the boat, unto the white sandy beach.
Some people threw them curious stares but that was it, they still went on about on their way.
Simply because this was Herotapolis, and weird things happened so it wasn't a strange sight to see five teenage kids jumping out of a rickety boat.
Andrew had smartly advised them to put on the clothes they had on when Aiden left them off in the jungle.
In this way they all had their code colors on, along with their crests as well.
Andrew brought out his phone from an inside pocket of his green denim jacket.
The signal was back.
He nodded to himself and brought out his laptop quickly and started pressing the keyboard. His hands were very swift on them. You could barely see where his fingers landed as he was an extremely fast typer.
"What now Andrew?" Ryan asked.
"I'm guessing we're in Mid-Vib city," Ashley said.
"But that's the name of the ocean!" Ethan told her.
She laughed, "Yes, but the city is named after the ocean."
"Oh...," Ethan's eyes widened.
Suzanne looked at the peaceful sea, as the waves rose and fell. The sunlight glistened on it making it seem darker than usual.
"Amazing...just like Andrew's eyes," she murmured to herself.
Ryan who was standing beside her turned to face her when he heard her soft statement.
"What did you just say?"
Suzanne turned to him looking shocked.
She hadn't meant to say that out loud. Her face flushed.
"Shut up! I didn't say anything!" She yelled at him as her cheeks were tinted red. Her yell also came with a punch.
Ryan was thrown backwards as her fist landed on him.
Suzanne covered her blushing face with both her hands while Ryan groaned in pain where he laid.
Ashley ran to where Ryan laid while Ethan laughed heartily.
Andrew snapped his laptop shut and looked up at his teammates.
"Quit fooling around, we just have just three more days to reach Superhero High," he told them as he swung his bag over his shoulder.
As he started to walk away Suzanne sheepishly followed while Ethan skipped merrily behind them. Ashley and Ryan walked at a slower pace.
"Oh and Suzanne," Andrew paused and looked back with a sly smirk.
"Huh?" Suzanne looked up at him.
"My eyes are darker than that," he said and walked away.
Suzanne halted in her tracks as her face turned crimson immediately and she inwardly face palmed herself.
Why did I forget about those headphones of his?!
She groaned.
Ethan patted her head.
"You're face is red Suzanne, are you okay?" He was oblivious to what was happening.
"Shut up!" Suzanne knocked him away from herself.
"Hey!" Ethan exclaimed as he fell on the sand.
Suzanne ignored him and marched forward.
When they got to the main road and they located a bus stop, they all waited there.
"Where's the Hero League head quarters?" Ashley asked Andrew.
"Behind those buildings," he gesculated boredly behind them.
Ethan also turned to look.
They couldn't fully see the building as other smaller building were obstructing their view but since the headquarters was towering over those buildings as it shot up, almost touching the sky, they could see the topmost part of it.
Most of the building was glass and the when the sun hit it, it sparkled like diamonds.
There was a huge pearl like building seated on the roof of the headquarters. A helicopter passed above their heads and went lower at a particular spot beside the main building of the Hero League.
There must be a helipad somewhere. Ashley thought with excitedness.
"Can we just go and take a look?!" Suzanne asked pleadingly.
"Yes! Please let's do it!" Ethan supported her, already standing up.
"That's a fantastic idea," Ashley answered with a small clap of her hands.
"Absolutely," Andrew turned to face them. "Not."
"Whyever not?!" Ethan whined.
"We won't take much time, just to have a look that's all," Ryan told Andrew. He also wanted to see the interior of the headquarters.
"It takes specifically fifteen hours to see the whole of the Hero League, without counting the secret rooms of course and we don't have fifteen hours to spend freely," Andrew told them in a nonchalant tone.
"We'll just see one section, we were not planing to see the whole of Hero League," Suzanne defended.
Andrew faced her. "A section takes three hours to view every part of it," he told her curtly.
"Listen Andrew, we promise to be out in fifteen minutes time," Ashley said with a small smile.
Andrew sighed and looked away.
"The sooner we get to Superhero High the better," he started. "But since you want to waste fifteen minutes of your time idling away, be my guest." He completed dryly.
Ethan's face lit up.
"Then it's settled! We'll go check out the main headquarter of Hero League!"
"Fifteen minutes." Andrew told them in a stern note.
"No more."
"Deal!" Suzanne grinned at him.
They all headed to check out the headquarters of Hero League.
There were huge lanes for vehicles and much narrower ones for pedestrians.
There were small patches of well trimmed flowers between the lane for the vehicles and that of the pedestrians.
"Aww, so pretty," Ashley bent to pick a morning glory but Andrew stopped her in time.
"You have to be very careful here, you don't just touch any little thing anyhow," he told them.
Suzanne frowned a bit while Ashley looked at Andrew in a puzzled manner.
"It's just a stupid flower." Ethan snorted.
Andrew chuckled mildly.
"You're about to enter the most secure facility in Herotapolis, nothing is what it seems."
He then plucked a flower and showed them.
On one of the petals was a very tiny dew droplet. Or so it seemed.
"I don't get it," Suzanne said looking at the plant wryly.
"There's a tiny camera on it, not easily noticeable," Ryan said as he looked away.
"But it looks like a dew drop!" Suzanne gasped.
"That's a wonderful technique!" Ashley said gleefully.
"Wow!" Ethan's eyes grew big while Ryan just scoffed.
While they were all staring at the flower in amazement, except Ryan that is, Andrew got a sensor from one of his devices and he looked up sharply.
His cold blue eyes landed on cold grey ones.
He looked away and frowned slightly.
Andrew knew they were coming for him.
As they neared Alex's official building; Ethan, Suzanne, Ashley and Andrew fell behind Ryan, discussing in low tones.Ryan walked ahead of them."We need to know his favorite flavor so we'll bake everything today," Ashley told them."Yeah, but how can we ask him without his being suspicious?" Suzanne asked her in a hushed tone."I'll do it!" Ethan said and quickly walked up to Ryan."Why that nitwit!"Suzanne hissed. "He's going to mess things up!" She said turning to Ashley and Andrew."Hey Ryan," Ethan said once he got to him. Ryan glanced at him with the side of how eyes.
"Alright team!" Ashley started as she paced back and forth in front of her teammates."Let's cook!"She looked at her younger sister who held lots of aprons in a box. Ashley grabbed three and passed it on to Suzanne, Andrew and Ethan."But first, we need aprons," she smiled as she gave it to them.Andrew looked bored as he put his on. It was dark blue in color and it had a pink heart in the center. He also rolled up the sleeves of his light green hoodie least it got stained.Suzanne looked away as she quickly put on the white apron that Ashley had given her. It had flowery patterns all over it.Andrew looks kinda cute domesti
They all tensed when the door bell rang again."Maybe it's Uncle Ted?" Ashley stated doubtfully.Andrew glanced at his watch. "That's not possible, he went to Zuba did he not? He can't be back by now. Anyhow get the door," he turned to Ethan and Suzanne, "We'll stay out of sight in case it's someone other than your Uncle."As they all stood up the door bell rang again, followed by three knocks on the door. Then a voice."Ashley?"They all froze."It's Ryan!"Ethan said in a loud whisper."Go, go, go...," Ashley shooed them and they disappeared into the k
Suzanne entered the yellow bus that pulled up at the bus-stop. She got a seat by the window side and looked out at the scenery as the bus drove by.Believe it or not it was Ryan's birthday and they had some things left to do but Alex had sent them all a text about a mission in a certain location.Suzanne sighed again.Andrew had told she, Ethan and Ashley to bring their bagpacks along with their party dresses and work clothes in it as they were coming so right after the mission it would be easy to head to Potter's field and also change.Already as it was the Squad 15 and Jamie were already at the venue, spicing things up.Shane and his football buddies were also helping out in exchange
"Sorry I'm late!" Suzanne said as she rushed into Blueberry café.All eyes turned to her. She looked around nervously when she saw she attracted stares. She sheepishly walked over to where Alex, Andrew and Ryan were seated in a stall."Um....where's everyone else?" She asked once she had greeted Alex and she was settled comfortable in a seat beside Ryan's."Beats me," Ryan shrugged. Not too long after, Ashley and Ethan both entered at the same time.Ethan was munching some cookies, it was not so hard to link up what had truely happened. Ethan had gone to Ashley's house first because he wanted a cookie and hence delayed the both of them as Ashley just had to bake a fresh set.
Ryan entered his bedroom and sat on his grand king-sized bed that had expensive-looking violet silk sheets, all draped around it.He glanced at his phone that laid on his nightstand and grabbed it.
