With Colin not being here I know it will be extremely painful. The only thought that will cross my mind besides the pain, is sex. Craving it to sooth the burning. It is typical that during a she-wolfs heat, especially her first one, that she is well protected and guarded.

Any unmated males need to be locked in a cell as their wolves can be very hard to contain. Most become crazed from the smell of a she-wolf’s heat and lose their humanity until they can mate with the wolf, or until it passes.

Every pack member that is female goes through heat with every passing season once they come of age. The week long event is different timing among the separate packs so I am not sure if Shane’s female pack members will be going through it at the same time as me.

All of those thoughts are pushed aside as the next wave of lava fills my entire stomach and my breath hitches in my throat. How am I supposed to get through a heat by myself, with Shane seducing me.

I don’t have time to think about it long because the pain is becoming unbearable. I scream loudly for the first time being here and my words finally escape my mouth.

“HELP ME!” I swear I can feel the wall behind me vibrate with how loud it comes out. I have the urge to rip off my clothes and sprawl out onto the cold concrete floor, rolling from front to back. Anything to relieve my skin, which currently feels like hot coals. Unfortunately, being chained to the wall prevents me from doing that.

After a few minutes of panting and coming down from the intense wave, I slump onto the floor with exhaustion.

I hear a noise and look up. The small window on my door creaks open and a pair of eyes widen at the sight of me in the corner. Those eyes, I have seen them before. I hear a faint shriek that is definitely not from the guards.

“Let me in there now! She can’t be alone and you both need to switch with mated males before you end up killing her! Who put her here? How long has she been here?”

The voice sounds so familiar but I feel like my sanity is slipping from either the hunger or the exhaustion. Or this heat. Whoever is on the other side of the door sounds scared, that's all I know for sure.
