Niyah’s POV

Sage, a gentleman as he was helped me get out of the car but my legs felt like jello and the heels were making it worse for me to keep my balance.

“I have no complains with the sex but I think I have literally broken my legs apart due to the huge cock of yours and your wolf’s”, I whined.

“Dunno what you mean”, he pouted as he suddenly took me in his arms and carried me to his house bridal style.

“Sage ! Put me down !! What will your pack members think !?”, I shrieked.

“Relax kitten. It’s just you and me in the house today. Everyone else has gone on a vacation”, Sage said.

I let him carry me to his house but as soon as he started climbing up the stairs, a running figure shot past us and then suddenly stopped in it’s tracks.

“You found your mate, Sage ?”, the female voice said.

“Ofcourse not, Alice”, Sage lied irately.

“You know you can’t lie to me, Sage !”, she said.

“Darn it ! Keep it a secret, ok ?”, Sage hissed.

“Hey ! Sage. Be nice to the girl”, I scolded him as I forced myself down from his lap.

“Hello Alice ! My name is Niyah Stone. I am the daughter of the Alpha of the Diamond Heart Pack”, I introduced myself. I heard Sage call the girl, Alice earlier so it was only appropriate for me to use her name while introducing myself.

Alice was an adorable girl who was almost my age.

I instantly liked her and my gut was never wrong when judging people’s character.

She giggled and said, “I am Alice Rexter, Sage’s younger sister.”

“Where are you rushing to, Alice ? And why are you not with others ?”, Sage asked as he lifted me in his arms again.

“Sage !”

“Don’t protest in the lion’s den, Niyah ! He is a very stubborn man”, Alice said as she stuck her tongue out towards Sage.

“And don’t talk to this chatterbox, Niyah. She has nothing better to do”, Sage snapped back.

Siblings, I rolled my eyes.

“I have to go to Jason’s. Gotta go”, Alice turned around and started to go.

“Wait !”, Sage ordered. He placed me on a stair step gently and walked towards Alice.

I couldn’t help sighing as I watched him walk.

Was there anything that he did and was not hot ? Even his walk was perfect, I sighed.

“What the fuck, Alice !? Why didn’t you tell me ?”, Sage said as he removed the scarf from his sister’s neck which revealed a mate mark.

“It’s Jason, isn’t it”, he softly asked this time.

Alice nodded her head as tears rolled down her face.

Sage hugged her and said, “You know I can smell him on you”, he laughed.

Alice punched him playfully and laughed through her tears.

“So you keeping the mate thing a secret too ?”, Sage asked.

“Jason doesn’t want to expose the identity of his mate yet as he is still working for Kacy”, Alice said. “I gotta go guys ! Nice to see you, Luna !!”, Alice called out winking at me as she rushed out of the house.

I waved her back and then turned towards Sage.

“I am sorry if I’m being nosy but what does she mean by working for Kacy ?”, I asked.

“Jason is the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack and is currently trying to get at the bottom of Kacy’s business for me”, Sage said as carried me inside his bedroom which was downright magnificent.

“So Xander and Jason deal in different things for Kacy ?”, I asked.

“Yes. Xander finds out about the meeting plans and jobs assigned to different people while Jason finds out about the packages which are traded and who is handling which package at what time.”

“Why does Kacy even tell them these things ? I mean it is the most basic principle in a fuck buddy relationship”, I said.

“Well she doesn’t tell them about it, kitten”, Sage chuckled. “It’s just that they plant my baby inventions at her place or on her when they go for a visit and then we track her movements.”

“Why don’t we finish her ?”, I asked.

“Finishing her will not help us. Instead, she is our only access key to the nexus of underworld criminals”, Sage said.

“Till how long do you guys propose to keep doing this ?”, I asked. “And was Jenette your key too ?

“Yes, Jenette was initially but then we realized that she had absolutely no role in the major events. So we shifted our attention to Kacy”, Sage said.

“Sage, why was Jenette all over you today ?”, I asked worriedly.

“I never went back to her after we found out that she was of no use. Today, however, we met again accidentally and then she tried to seduce me but you came in the nick of time and saved me”, he said as he kissed the back of my hand.

“Sage, when will I shift ?”, I asked.

“Now that you have been marked, your shift will happen any time soon”, Sage said.

“Um-mm I have more questions, Sage”, I said sheepishly.

“What is troubling you, Niyah ?”, he asked cautiously.

“If we are vampires too then how are we able to walk in daylight and why am I so drowsy after feeding when it is known that Vampires don’t sleep ?”, I asked.

“Our werewolf blood is more dominant, Niyah. That is why we feel all that. However, we all have our own vampire powers”, he said.

“Oh really !? What are they ?”, I asked.

Sage listed down the powers as:

1. Xander is a Mental Shield- he can block any psychic attack and a few physical ones

2. Kyle is a Force Wielder- he can move objects through an invisible force

3. Jace is an Alchemist- he change the composition of any object through Alchemy

4. Bryant has the power of Enhanced Self Preservation- he can sense danger vibes till the vibe goes off

5. Katie has the power of Mental Electrokinesis- she can cause painful electric jolts to anyone who touches her.

6. Stella has the power of Pain Illusion- She can inflict excruciating pain only on one target at a time who is visible to her

7. Kacy has the power of Vertigo- She can cause confusion and disorientation

8. Victor has three powers-

(i) Cryokinesis: He can reduce the temperature of any matter causing it to freeze.

(ii) Gravitational Manipulation: He can make objects disappear due gravitational manipulation

(iii) Lie Detection: He can detect who is speaking the truth and who is lying.

9. Sage has the power of Technokinesis: He can control and manipulate any amount of technology, however complex.
