chapter 7

Victor’s POV  

The pain is killing me and it is worse than what it was when Laira died.

Jenette’s wolf mate, Conrad vanished from my being and now my body was reeling under the shocks of the death of my beloved and decimation of my dear wolf, Conrad.

I heard Stella, Kacy and Samuel barge in through the door and carry me to the infirmary at once as I cried out loud due to the electric shock-like pain rendering my body completely immobile.

“Who the fuck did that ?”, Stella asked Samuel.

“We don’t know about that yet, Luna. Her body is nowhere to be found and the scents of her dead bodyguards were found in peculiar, faraway places”, Samuel answered

“This is becoming more and more dangerous now. Victor already lost three of his wolves and the blue opal hasn’t been destroyed yet”, Kacy said as grief flashed on her face to see me in my most vulnerable state.

That was the last thing I heard as darkness enveloped me once again.

Kacy’s POV

Victor had been a perfect mate. He was a fine husband and cared for each of his mates sincerely and faithfully. Other than his mates, he did not even spare a glance at any other woman.

He had given us a free hand to enjoy ourselves with other men as much as we wanted but within the limits of not hurting him due to the mate bond.

He knew that Laira, Jenette and I loved him with our life but our fetish for younger men and boys was irresistible for us and hence, he let us have our way with them.

Stella was different. She had pined for her ex-boyfriend for long before Victor came along and helped her back on her feet.

I knew she could do anything to destroy the Luna of the Diamond Heart Pack but Victor had convinced her that the Luna was not worth her energy or time.

Victor was a loving father figure to his subjects and made sure that none of his coven members ever slept hungry or lived in poverty.

No wonder they worshipped him and were more than willing to sacrifice their lives for him, not that he wanted them to.

However, outside his coven everything was ruthless and deadly. His mates- Laira and Jenette had administered the underworld businesses while Stella and I ran the legitimate ones like the school at Asheville.

Stella and I had decided to stay there personally as we felt more alive among the young blood who were so fresh and innocent.

After his dear mother’s death and Lisa’s rejection, he has been a broken soul but atleast he finds passion in his work.

I really feel for him as his life has been miserable but atleast he has done his best for the people he loves and cares for.

I really hope, we find peace in the end.
