chapter 8

Penulis: Eight-Tailed Cat

Weeks later, everything seemed to have returned to normal. Evan had decided to get off the tour to stay close to Angy. They spent the whole day together, back and forth, putting a little order in the dilapidated theater. Things were going great, although it was impossible for Angy to recover so soon. She knew all the damage she had caused, that because of her her sister could never be the same again, but after all, not everything went as planned. She had chosen, and she had chosen him, only for the moment, he hadn't appeared. She supposed that leaving her a note had not been the most appropriate thing, but she trusted that Dorian would do the right thing and go looking for her, otherwise she would lose her mind, because it was already totally impossible for her to conceive her life if she was not close to him.

The constant morning sickness used to change her mood, but for the first time she was aware of this little miracle that was welling up inside her; she could feel it in her gut, and it already belonged to her. He imagined it in many ways, but to tell the truth, his appearance was totally indifferent to him, because he already felt that he loved him as if his life depended on it. That is why she felt a bit of fear for not knowing for sure what she would face when the time came, but she would not be alone.

He kept being amazed at the incredible heart Evan had. He treated her like a true queen; He even dared to cook exclusively for her, which turned out to be quite a miracle. He was in good spirits, looking impeccable, refreshing; his gray hair made him just as attractive as before.

On that particular morning, the two of them had woken up exhausted on the couch, falling asleep the night before while they worked on a few possible contract issues. Angy made breakfast while Evan showered; then they had breakfast together while they watched TV. There was the same trust between them as ever, maybe even more. Angy had to admit that the news of having a baby had hit Evan squarely, but then he was enthusiastic about the idea, as he was in love with children.

After another couple of hours of non-stop work, and having caused time to fly by, they were exhausted. They flopped onto the couch.

"You really don't want to drink anything?" Evan insisted.

-Not seriously. Now more than ever, I can't lose my temper.

He shrugged as he went to the kitchen to get a beer.

"Well, in that case, I'll drink to your health."

When he returned, Angy looked at him gracefully as she silently thanked him for all that he had done for her. It was a fundamental and irreplaceable pillar.

"Hey, you shouldn't drink that much," he growled gracefully.

-Me? Don't overdo it, you know I hardly ever taste alcohol.

"You better be, otherwise you won't be able to meet my future offspring."

Evan frowned.

-Do not play with that. You know it wouldn't be the same without me.

She held back the laugh.

-Why are you so sure?

"I don't know, but it's the truth." Also, you know that I am fully responsible.

-You better.

They hung out while enjoying their company.

-You know? Evan intoned. I haven't heard you mention anything about cravings yet.

She shrugged her shoulders.

"Well, I guess it's still too early." Also, I don't think you would like it too much.

-Unlike. He winked at her. I would be delighted to see Dorian playing an exemplary husband.

Angy frowned.

"I'm afraid you won't see it." I'm not going to marry him.

There was a brief silence to process that.

Not even if I ask you?

"No, Evan." That's not for me.

His friend put his hand on his knee.

"I assure you, there is nothing wrong with that."

Those green eyes seemed to think otherwise.

"I don't know, it's something I don't want to think about." She gathered her legs and wrapped her arms around them. I love him, I want to spend the rest of my life with him, and for me it is much more than enough. I don't need any rings or anything like that to increase our engagement. After going through all this hell, I think I've shown her a lot more than if she agreed to wear white.

Evan scratched the back of his neck.

"Well, maybe you're right…

" "I am, you know I am." I have never been prone to comply with the established norms, do you think that now I would change my mind?

-No, of course not. You are absolutely incorrigible. He ran a finger over his chin thoughtfully. Although there is something that worries me ...

"What do you mean?

"Are you willing to damn your soul?" He was dying to laugh. Are you going to live in sin?

Angy rolled her eyes.

"Evan, after everything I've done, it is clear to me that there is no salvation for me."

"You like living on the edge."

"No, I have simply pierced them…" Anguish vibrated in her timbre at the recent memory of her final escape and she staggered inside. He, of course, sensed it instantly.

"Listen, I don't deny that I'll never be able to fully understand it, but it's what you should do." You, him ... It all makes sense now. Your sister will have a hard time for a while, that's undeniable, but she is young, strong, and I am convinced that she will overcome it. It's just a matter of time.

Angy bit her lip.

—Don't talk to me about time; I wish it didn't exist.

"Come on, grumpy, relax." Think of the present from now on. I know it was worth it for you, right? You told me yourself.

-If you're right.

"I know, I always have it." He raised his chest, feigning pride. Ay, can I know what you would do without me?

Angy kicked him affectionately.

"What a fool you are…" He smiled from ear to ear. Don't make me say it. You know what there is.

"I know, but I like to know how important I am."

"Well, you are." Much. You are…

He raised his hands.

"Well, stop it, I don't want you to end up crying ..."

They started hitting each other with the cushions as if they were two little immature adults. The smiles were evident, but the brief game suddenly stopped. Someone had knocked on the door.

They listened expectantly, attentive.

"How strange," he murmured, "I don't wait for anyone."

"Who can it be at this hour?" Angy asked, pretending to get up.

"Hey, stop there, miss," Evan growled amusingly. In your state, you better not overdo it.

Angy frowned, smiling.

"Don't overdo it?" Jeez, I'm pregnant, not a quadriplegic.

Evan jumped up.

"I'm not arguing with you, Angy." He placed his hands on her waist. I open.

Angy, still positioned on the sofa, perfectly heard the front door open, however, then she made absolutely nothing out. An unexpected long silence that was strange. Long seconds later, the footsteps of his friend traveled the opposite direction, returning to the living room. His attitude had changed dramatically.

"Evan." She sat up suddenly, jumping to her feet, prepared for something bad. She could tell from his face that something was wrong. What happen?

He kept waiting, with a peculiar look.

"There is someone who wants to see you."

Angy's heart stopped. It was what he had been waiting for for the past few weeks, yet he had let his guard down, imagining it could be anyone but… him. How would he have gotten the address? How did you know it would be there?

Evan stepped aside and then the magic kicked in. There, appeared as in a dream, Dorian became someone completely real, stepping on the same ground as them. He was breathing calmly, dressed in dark-colored suit pants and an elegant white shirt with the top buttons undone. He was flawless, seductive and… waiting. The atmosphere was heavy, heavy.

Evan was the first to react.

"Well, I guess I better go…"

Her best friend's green eyes looked up at him in wonder and supplication.

"Evan, there's no need…

" " Easy." He winked at her. No problem. I will return later. He turned to Dorian, holding out his hand to greet him. Good to see you again, Dorian. I'm serious.

"Thanks, Evan." He smiled slightly. Thanks for taking care of her.

Evan shook his head.

"On the contrary, it was the other way around." By the way… ”He gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze. Congratulations.

Evan disappeared from the apartment, leaving them alone, face to face, and with a million questions to ask.

"Did you tell him?"

Angy nodded, crossing her arms.

"I think he had a right to know." His lips pursed. It bothers you?

"Not at all," he said, "but I was hoping I could keep it a secret for a little longer."

Angy sighed.

'No more secrets, Dorian. None more, never again. I want to start my new life trying to make the fewest mistakes.

"Do you still want me to be part of it?"

It was not the question itself but the cold and distant tone used that left Angy confused.

"Why wouldn't I want you to be?" I've been waiting for you all my life…

Dorian stepped forward and blew out his breath loudly.

-Why? He sounded hurt, and while he was more than pleased to have her face to face again, he was resentful at being inadvertently left on the ground. Because you did? Why did you leave without saying a word to me?

She lunged against his body and hugged him as tightly as she could. It was a way of asking for forgiveness.

"I know it wasn't what you expected, but I had no choice ..."

Dorian held her face in his hands.

"You promised you'd come and find me," he whispered in her ear, "you promised we'd go together…

" " You have to understand," she interrupted, fighting back tears. He couldn't do it for her, out of respect

for— ”“ That doesn't change anything.

-Please listen to me. I managed to tell her the whole truth, but that did not give me the right to humiliate her until the last moment. He swallowed. I knew you'd look for me, that's why I left that note for you at the hotel. It was not the right thing to do, I know I have been wrong again, but I would have felt infinitely worse if I had kept my promise to leave your hand.

Dorian kissed her forehead.

"You scared me to death," he whispered. For a second I thought I had lost you again ...

"" That's impossible. You have never lost me, much less now.

They hugged each other for a few minutes, not having the need to say anything, just enjoying the sensation of the other.

Angy finished by searching his gaze.

"You've been slow to come."

"Well, things haven't been easy," he pointed out. I had to fix everything: the house, the work… I have left everything. It's over. He tucked her hair behind her ear. I am here now, and I guarantee you that we will never part again.

"I know that," Angy replied, totally dazzled. But ...

"" Yes?

"Could you say goodbye to her?"

The question caught him completely off guard. His pupils dilated.

-Than?

"Tell me the truth, Dorian." I know you are hiding something. It's about Nora, right? She bit her lip. Did you get to see her one last time before you left?

He closed his eyes, nodding.

-Yes, I do. I said goodbye to her. It has been one of the hardest things in my entire life. Until the last minute she begged me not to leave her.

Angy's heart sank.

"Do you think he will recover?"

Dorian hesitated.

"To tell the truth, no one can know, not even her, but I have a feeling she will at least try."

—And what will happen if he doesn't overcome it, if everything remains in a simple attempt?

He held her tighter.

—We are out of his life; we can do nothing for her anymore.

Angy wept silently, knowing this was true.

---------

The original world was separated, with the two of them returning to resume their relationship as years ago. The smiles had returned to their faces, and their respective insecurities, although still evident, progressively faltered to give way to a new opportunity full of promises that would never be broken.

They were lost for the rest of the day, from one side to the other, smiling, looking at each other, admiring each other, melting for that love that had been reborn. Walking together hand in hand was for Angy like a lifeline, like a redemption for her past sins. She watched him and discovered again how madly in love she was with this man who was so exquisite in all respects. It was a delight for the five senses to be aware that there would be nothing in the world that could separate them again, not even the theater. Now her starting point, her reference, her vital axis was neither more nor less than Dorian, the same boy she fell in love with when she was just a child, the same one who had taken care of her at all times, and the same one who did not know. he gave up so he could get her back despite everything else. This was the ultimate man to start with, to wake up, to dream with eyes wide open, and most of all, to see life just for what it was: a chance in a million of having what you want. She had been the chosen one. I wouldn't spoil it again.

The afternoon sun was beating down hard, and there was no more inviting time than that to take a bath. The two of them were in Angy's bathtub, together, calm, the water at the perfect temperature, tangled, twisted and serene. They were happy, nothing more needed to be said. They had been there for about two hours when Dorian moved slightly and Angy turned to look at him.

-You're good?

"Yes, but I think we should go out now." You don't want no scales to come out, right?

She smiled and kissed him tenderly. He had rejuvenated.

"Just a little more, please," he asked. I missed all this so much…

"Easy, we can do it every day."

"Promise me." Her arms were damp from the water around his neck. Promise me this will always be so.

Dorian kissed her on the nose.

-I swear.

After the bath, they stayed together in bed, unable to detach, unable to stop looking at each other, to lose mere eye contact. In comparison, it seemed that air was no longer as necessary for them to breathe.

Dorian eventually got up slowly so as not to wake Angy, but it was not effective.

"Hey," he whispered, "go back to bed."

Dorian smiled at him and sat on the edge, putting on his shoes.

Angy jerked awake and walked over to him.

"Hey, wait, wait ..." She stood next to him, looking into his eyes with a look of uncertainty. What are you doing?

He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and stood up.

-I'm going.

Her heart was racing. He thought he had misunderstood. It did not make sense. What was something like that?

-Why? -He wanted to know-. What happen? Something is wrong?

Dorian hastened to reassure her.

-Of course not. He ran a hand through his hair. Everything is going great. It couldn't be better.

"Then why are you leaving?" Are you leaving me here alone, just like that?

He kissed her tenderly on the forehead.

"I have something to resolve." I can not tell you nothing. I'll come get you tonight.

Angy also stood up.

"Why tonight?" Why can't I go with you?

-It's a surprise.

That reassured her a little more.

"What kind of surprise?"

"Don't insist, you know I won't tell you." He smiled again. Trust me, it will be worth it, but you have to stay here. I'll come pick you up around ten.

Angy bit her lip, nervous and impatient.

"But I have nothing to wear," she whispered, "no dress too fancy or anything that ...

Dorian lifted her off the floor and kissed her to silence her." Then he placed his lips on her ear.

"Angy, the best dress you can have is your skin." You don't need more than that.

It was practically time; Dorian was barely ten minutes away, and she felt like a teenager waiting for her date for the prom. Her hands were cold, her green eyes alight, and all of her submerged under an imposing bubble of reborn sensuality, and all because she had prepared herself thoroughly.

After Dorian left home, Angy debated between the different possibilities, and although she would never be a big fan of fashion, she decided to use the time she had left to go out and find a dress that would be perfect for her. the occasion, plus some sexy heels. He found everything ahead of schedule, allowing himself to be advised by the most experienced experts, and in the end he achieved what he set out to do. It could not be more elegant, more charming, captivating and of course, unique.

There was a knock on the door and his pulse quickened. He ran with youthful hope and upon opening the door he found a perfectly suitable Dorian. He was dressed in a suit, an immaculate white shirt, and a handsome jet black tie. The smile that crossed his face was flawless and desirable. He took a step and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"You are absolutely perfect."

Angy blushed and gave him a knowing look.

-Thank you. She stroked one of the small silver earrings. You have arrived earlier than expected.

"I know," he admitted, "but I couldn't wait any longer." I've been wanting to see you for hours.

She bit her lip.

"And I've been wanting to know where we're going for hours."

Dorian grabbed her hand.

"Then come on, I don't want to make you wait any longer."

When they left the portal and the street engulfed them, something was there that was not anticipated, at least from Angy's point of view, who could not help but open her mouth, completely surprised. And it is that just a few meters from where they were there was parked a spectacular black limousine, with the driver holding the back door open and smiling willingly.

-I can not believe it. She looked at Dorian in bewilderment and perplexity. Have you rented a limousine?

-What's wrong with it?

"I suppose nothing, but it wasn't necessary." He put a hand to his temple. It's too much, you didn't have to have… ”“

Angy, when it comes to your happiness, nothing is too much. I don't want to skimp on expenses. I wanted to make you feel like a princess for at least one night.

-You're wrong. She started toward the wheeled wonder, and before she got inside, she turned to look at him. You make me feel like one at all times.

Once inside the huge and elegant vehicle, the sensation was delicious, like floating on a cloud of deep sensations and emotions. There was relaxing music in the background, they had privacy thanks to the glass that separated them from the driver and those knowing looks that said it all.

"I could look at you all night without getting tired," Dorian whispered, hugging Angy. You're beautiful.

She snuggled lightly against his chest.

"Thank you," he murmured. Thank you for all this, for everything you have done for me. I have no idea what you have prepared, but I'm sure I will like it.

-I hope so.

"Come on, Dorian." You know me better than anyone. You always play it safe.

Dorian gently bit her earlobe.

—Yes, for that same reason I did not stop insisting to be able to recover you.

She had lived in that city for years, but Angy had not yet had the luck to know this magnificent restaurant that was a little away from urban life. It was minimalist in appearance, with all kinds of details, with an enveloping decoration dotted with black and white tones. The service was impeccable, and the food endless succulent delicacies that made your mouth water.

After holding his gaze for a couple of times, and ending up involuntarily blushing, Angy gave Dorian the slightest touch with one of your heels from under the table.

"Hey, pervert," he murmured gracefully, "you better stop looking at me like that." You look totally crazy.

Dorian licked his lips with the glass of wine he held between his fingers.

"Oh, of course." You know I am.

-Yes?

-Clear. He showed his pristine teeth. I'm crazy about you, Angy.

At that moment, someone intentionally coughed and they both raised their heads. It was the waiter who brought them the second course. He kept his smile on, but it was evident that he was trying without much success to hide his discomfort.

"Thank you," said Dorian.

-You are welcome sir. He drew himself up exaggeratedly. Is everything to your liking?

-Completely.

He made a kind of bow with his head and walked away, out of sight.

Angy scrutinized him.

-Look what you have done. He pretended to be angry. You have bothered him.

-It was not my intention.

She raised an eyebrow as she drank water.

"And what exactly is it?" What are your expectations tonight?

"Make you remember all this."

"What makes you think I'd be able to forget it?" It is impossible.

They continued the evening chatting animatedly about thousands of topics, laughing, toasting, smiling and feeling like true lovers. They were real; his gestures, his movements, even the most imperceptible thoughts. They didn't have to pretend, they didn't have to act. They were facing each other, telling each other in every possible way that they adored each other, to the point of losing track of everything around them.

Angy wiped the corner of her mouth with her napkin and silently slid her chair across the parquet.

-I go to the bathroom.

Dorian was on the alert at once.

-You're good? He lowered his voice. Are you nauseous?

-Not calm. It is nothing of the sort. I'll be right back. Wait for me.

Dorian gave him a kind of bow with his hand.

-Always.

With feigned steps of normality, which tried to camouflage those nerves of a collegiate recent graduate in life, Angy went through the bathroom door and stared at the mirror. To tell the truth he was unrecognizable; It was not only because of the wardrobe that fit him like a glove, but because of his good mood. Her heart no longer weighed as heavily as before, and she was learning to accept her mistakes and accept the new life that had been granted to her.

She touched up her makeup and blew out her breath. His nerves danced. It was really amazing to be able to feel that way, like it was their first date. Everything was going so well, I couldn't ask for anything more. It was a plethora of dreams and certainly platonic. She returned to the table and when she sat down, those eyes were looking at her with true idyll.

-I've missed you.

Angy tucked her hair behind her ear.

"Don't be silly, not even five minutes have passed." I think you're starting to lose your mind.

"Yeah, and you know what?" It's your fault.

Angy picked up her glass and raised it in the air. It had been an automatic gesture.

"I'd like to make a toast."

Dorian also raised his glass, showing the bearing and elegance of a gentleman of the last century.

"Go ahead, then."

They were silent for a few seconds until he finally made up his mind.

"I want to toast to you, to me, to us." For this little boy inside me… ”He smiled sweetly. I want to toast second chances, which sometimes turn out to be much better than first ones.

Dorian tipped his glass and rattled it against Angy's glass. It could be deduced that he had hundreds, maybe thousands of butterflies fluttering out of time in his stomach.

"I toast the same." It would be impossible to add anything else except a simple statement. He cocked his head. I love you, Angy.

He blushed again. For her there was no melody as wonderful as that statement so categorically and harmoniously resounding.

-I love you too.

Just at that precise moment, and as if it were a fortuitous and masterful stroke of good luck, the music began to play, and Dorian could not help but smile and shrug. It was a clear message.

"Give me your hand," he said, extending his.

Angy bit her lip.

"I haven't danced in a long time."

"Me neither, but I know we will do well." Things are always better for us when we are together.

He loved it so much that Angy chose to get up straight and ask him to dance. She pressed her body against his and felt her feet stop touching the ground. The magic was incalculable, the desire for happiness was categorical. The most perfect feeling of all. A multiple combination of everything that he had always wanted and that was already his by right.

"Have I ever told you how special you are?"

Angy looked up, searching his eyes.

"Yes, but you don't need to." Just looking at you is enough.

He smiled gallantly and pressed his mouth to Angy's temple. The contact was delicious.

They went around and around, being analyzed from time to time by the rest of the diners at the nearby tables. Perhaps at another time they would have been uncomfortable, but after all the past delirium, insignificant things like that were left in a secondary and secondary plane.

-Could you do me a favor? Dorian whispered in her ear. Imagine your life in twenty years. Do you think you still want to dance with me?

Angy's smile was silent, but she had the virtue of saying a million words.

Dorian kissed her forehead and spoke again.

"I want you to be my partner in this eternal dance."

"Are you proposing that we never stop dancing?"

Dorian lightly squeezed the arm around her waist.

-Yes something like that.

"Well, I hope you don't get tired, because I'm not going to let you go anymore."

-Never?

Angy gave him a kiss before answering him.

-Never.

"I'm glad to hear you say that."

"And I'm glad you're here to hear it."

They embraced. They stopped dancing and were fused with each other. The lights had dimmed and it was as if the world had agreed to be a silent witness to that silence that exuded complicity to the extreme.

Dorian took a few simple steps again and decided to place his hand on Angy's belly.

"How do you imagine it?"

Angy was surprised by the question; she wasn't expecting it, but the warm contact was nice.

"I don't know, but all I can think of to say is that it will be perfect."

"Or perfect…"

Angy wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Would you rather it be a girl?"

-I do not care about that. All I want is for everything to go well. Having you as a mother, the result will be unbeatable.

Angy sighed.

"Don't forget the other fifty percent." You are exactly half of this baby… ”He took Dorian's hand and pressed it gently against his belly using his own hand. And you are everything in me.

Dorian kissed her hard, savoring those lips that belonged to him.

The atmosphere was relaxed and relaxed, with more couples joining in that collective and individual dance, but she couldn't think of any of that, only him. I wanted to cry, jump for joy, scream, raise my hands, breathe and release the air. An explosive mixture of sensations that covered every corner of his skin.

-What happen? Dorian asked. Why are you looking at me like that?

Angy sighed.

"I just can't believe it's finally here." All this… ”He made an enveloping gesture with the fingers of his hand. It is a dream.

"No, it's something else." It's our life.

"Well, it's beautiful."

Dorian exaggerated his smile.

"Because you're in it." He turned his head to the side. Come, I want you to see one thing.

They passed through the whirlpool of the rest of the dancers and made their way to open doors that opened onto a kind of balcony. The fresh air filled his lungs and the night view was unmatched.

Dorian hugged Angy from behind.

-Notice. He motioned for her to look up. The moon is full.

Angy blinked several times.

-Is beautiful.

"I think everything is obsolete by your side." There is nothing like it; There is definitely no one like you, Angy.

She smiled again. He didn't remember smiling so many times in one day. She turned to him, stroking his neck, chin, cheeks, cheekbones, and finally his temples. I adored everything about him; try as he might, glimpsing a tiny flaw was impossible. It was tailor-made for her.

She knew him very well, every note and every piece of his emotional makeup, and the silence his lips processed was not very common. Those hazel eyes were serene, but there was something about the whole thing that he couldn't quite understand.

"You know it's practically impossible for you to fool me," she whispered, half seriously, half jokingly.

-Than…?

-What happen? He insisted, taking her hands. You have been very quiet.

Dorian didn't even blink.

"You see, Angy, I have to tell you something…

" "What is it?"

His slim athlete's body swayed slightly, expressing his doubts.

"Well, I haven't been entirely honest with you."

Those green eyes twinkled. The truth is that he did not know very well how to take that unexpected revelation.

-What do you mean?

Dorian clasped his hand with hers more purposefully.

"Listen, all this, everything from going out to dinner, being with you, is wonderful, I wished I could do it once and for all, but there is actually another reason." There's a totally different reason you're here…

Angy felt a sudden nervous tremor in her fingertips and stomach. He swallowed hard and turned his full attention to listening carefully.

"Dorian, you're scaring me." What happens?

"I don't know what is the way to tell you…"

He held her face, letting her know that she was the right person to hear both the good and the bad.

"Come on, it's me." No secrets, remember?

He nodded.

"You're right, that's why we're here." He separated slightly and after a sigh gave him a particularly strange look, as if in that visual exchange one could guess the presumptuous hue of his intentions. I've wanted to do this for a long time, but haven't had the courage. He looked up at the cloudless night sky for a second. Angy, now I know this all makes sense. We have lost many things but we have also gained others. You have always been my choice, my half, my soul mate… ”He smiled. You can call it a thousand ways, but the result will remain the same, and it is thanks to you. You have become much more than I can ask for and wish for, you are my world, my life ... I am your shadow, because no matter where you go, I will be with you. Time sometimes filled me with pain, but now it's different. So I want to do this as soon as possible, and I know that tonight is ideal for it, to make it happen. He leaned forward and, with a slow movement of progress, dropped to one knee, all while staring at her. I offer you everything that I am, as you see me, everything I represent and everything I can give you ...

The hint of security and stability that had accompanied her during the evening cracked. An incandescent pressure filled his chest that burned everything. Her throat closed tightly and panic forced the words from her mouth.

"Dorian, no…" His hands began to shake. He took a tiny step back. My god no What are you doing?

-The right thing.

-No, do not say that. He put his hands on her and tried to get him out of that position. Come on, please get up…

However, to his fear, Dorian did not move one iota. It seemed like he was determined to take a giant step forward in their relationship.

"Don't do this to me, please." She was shaking her head, imploring him not to continue this madness. Not now, you're going to spoil everything…

He waved for silence.

"I need you to listen carefully, Angy." It will only take a minute.

She couldn't believe something like this was happening. It didn't make sense, they just got back, it was too early to consider it, crazy that he shouldn't even have a chance.

"I can't accept it, I can't…"

Dorian reached out and touched her hand.

"Trust me, it's not what you think."

Angy frowned, her heart racing against her chest. Was it not clear enough? What else could it be?

"What do you mean not?" You got down on your knees. Her lower lip trembled. He moved his hands in all directions, resting them on his temples. You're asking me… You're asking me…

Dorian hid a hand in the inside pocket of his jacket and pulled out a small box. Then he prepared to speak.

"I am not asking you to marry me, I am asking you to give meaning to my life, to what remains of it, as you have always done." I do not ask you for impossible things, I only ask you for what we have already achieved. I'm not asking you to be perfect, I'm just asking you to endure all the ups and downs. I'm not asking you to be around unconditionally, I'm asking you to come back when the storm passes. I'm not asking for your hand, I'm asking for your heart. He emphasized his smile, showing how in love he was. I am not asking you to be my wife, I am asking you to be the woman who supports me, protects me, encourages me and makes me feel alive. I ask you to be the mother of that miracle that is coming. I ask you not to change me for anyone else, I ask you to forgive me if I ever hurt you. I ask you to let me love you as you deserve. I ask you to never stop being that angel who taught me everything that makes sense in this life and in the next. I only ask that you continue to be you.

Unable to speak, the only response from Angy was her unintentionally sincere tears. He burst into tears without whispering, without murmuring, without even sobbing. She looked at him in the way only people who fall in love know how to do, and of course she had ended up doing it again, just then.

"Dorian…"

He intoned his speech again.

"Forever is never supposed to be true, but that's not our case." He carefully lifted the lid of the box and revealed the contents. That is why tonight I ask you exactly that. I ask that this be forever.

It was a very fine white gold pendant with the symbol of the eternal, a lying eight. It was the most beautiful detail she had ever seen in her life.

-What do you say? Do you want to make it possible? Do you want to be with me for as long as we have?

It was clear to her, she was clear about exactly what she wanted to say, what she intended to express in words, but again she had been speechless. Instead, she knelt next to him and kissed him with the greatest of passions, with the greatest of concerns, and above all, with the greatest of gratitudes.

There was silence and it seemed a century passed before they parted again. Then, Dorian's satisfaction couldn't be greater.

"I'll take it as a yes."

They both got up and, delicately, Dorian put the pendant on her, which gleamed around Angy's neck in the moonlight.

She wrapped her arms around him and Dorian held her in midair against his chest.

"I love you," she managed to say. I love you, I love you… ”She kissed him on the cheeks and lips. I want you to be with me forever. I love you in every possible way.

He realized that this was the perfect definition of happiness. It had its own name, and it couldn't be more than his. It was final, forever.

Tension could be cut with a knife. The rehearsals were turning out to be literally agonizing: looks of bewilderment and surprise were pointed directly at Angy, her clothes hanging over her slim frame. The same way they scrutinized Evan's eyes. It didn't seem the same; now he just nodded now and then and spoke only when asked. Everything was turned upside down. There was no communication between them, and Paolo, Fabio, Andrea, Valentina and Demetrio held their breath, fearful that the invisible bomb between them would explode at any moment. A hostile environment that they saw for the first time."I'm exhausted," Andrea complained. Couldn't we take a break?

Dorian listened attentively to the front entrance door open in the distance. The security cameras caught a glimpse of the long golden hair that shone thanks to the sun. Heart shaking with sheer joy, Dorian waited for Nora to appear imminently, wanting to see her again, but it didn't happen exactly the way it was intended. That woman flew by, without making a sound."Nora ..."She didn't answer. He passed by, without even turning his head. He crossed the room and disappeared, probably in the direction of the bedroom. Without thinking,

I couldn't believe it, but there it was. He had tried in every possible way but it had been useless to resist; Those green eyes were watching him closely, and Dorian felt his pulse race. Each heartbeat hit his chest with the force of a hurricane, and he silently asked her not to pull away from him again. He loved her, of that he was sure. Despite the distance, he had never stopped loving her; the imprint she had left on her soul had been so great that not a lifetime would have been enough to forget her. So there she was, silence hanging from her thin lips. He couldn't hide it anymore. He spent his days in Nora's company, but he knew that would never be enough; He could never give her in fifty years what Angela could give her in a matter of days. She had been the first and only woman he had lost his mind for, and now he wasn't sure he had regained it. She felt very close, perhaps too close. There was nothi

That day of good weather the island was full. Nora had decided to go visit her mother; It was her day off, and since Dorian was working she didn't want to be left alone in that gigantic house, so she showed up without warning. However, that turned out to be no problem for Julia, who had not stopped smiling since her young daughter was home, having coffee in the living room."It's weird not being around," Nora sobbed.-Tell me.
