"Hey call me back when you get this," Natalia said into the phone.
She sighed, that was the fourth time she called her boyfriend, Ryan.
After a few minutes, she decided to check on him seeing as his house was not far from hers.
She walked downstairs where she saw her mother and her father laughing.
"I'm going out." She said giving them a hug before she left.
She got into one of the family car and drove to Ryan's house, she got there in a matter of 10 minutes.
Once Natalia drove into his parent's driveway, she saw a familiar car, it looked like Danielle's car, Danielle was Ryan's cousin.
She got out of her car, before taking out the key he gave her, she opened the door with it.
She closed the door behind her as she walked further into the house.
"Ryan?" She called out there was no response.
She sighed deciding she would wait for him in the living room, that's when she heard a thud upstairs.
Natalia immediately jumped out of the couch going upstairs.
Once she was at the last step that led upstairs she heard groans coming from Ryan's room, immediately she ran straight to his room opening the door.
The scene that she saw shocked her, it was Ryan and Danielle in bed together.
"Wow," Natalia said causing them to separate.
"Natalia it's not what it looks like."
"It's exactly what it looks like." She turned around and ran down the stairs.
When she ran outside he grabbed her hand turning her around.
"Natalia I didn't intend to hurt you." She chuckled humourlessly.
"I don't care about your intentions. They're irrelevant. You knew entirely well that cheating on me would hurt me, which is why you kept it a secret." She shouted before she could turn around he pulled her back to him.
"I'm sorry baby I didn't mean to hurt you, I-" She shook her head before cutting him off.
"Is she even your cousin?"
"No."
"Did you ever love me?" Natalia asked.
"Of course I love you."
"Obviously not enough." She pulled her hand out of his before walking to her car.
"Natalia, please can't live without you."
"Your gonna have to." She said as she opened her car door. "Oh and Ryan, Fuck you." She went inside her car closing the door.
She started her car and drove out of his driveway going back to her favourite place.
Once she was there, she got out of the car and went to the edge of the bridge, sitting down.
The tears she was trying so hard to keep in, finally feel from her dull eyes.
That was the last day Natalia ever felt the emotion we call love, as she thought love only brought pain and misery.
End of Flashback
Natalia felt like she was going to faint any second as all the memories came rushing back.
But she took in a deep breath and forced a smile as she wasn't gonna let Daniel get to her. "Danielle, it's so lovely to see you again, how have you been?" Danielle looked shocked at how calm Natalia looked but she quickly covers her shock and forced a smile too.
"I'm fine if you don't mind me asking who are your friends?"
"Well, this is Alessia and her brother Alessandro he is the head of the Italian Mafia" Danielle got up and walked over to them.
She held out her hand, did too she shook each hand with a smile.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, both." She said her eyes scanning Alessandro's body.
"It's nice to meet you too." He said.
"Now that everyone has been introduced let's take a seat," Nicole said.
"Alessandro, would you like to sit next to me?" Danielle asked, Natalia immediately looked at him, his eyes momentarily meet hers, she quickly looked away before taking a seat.
"Thank you for the offer but I'll have to past as my sister has asked for me to sit with her." Alessia looked confused before she saw the look on his which made her nod.
"Brother you can take my seat, I want to get to know Danielle." Alessia got up and took a seat next to Danielle.
Alessandro took the seat next to Natalia.
"We have one more person coming so could you all wait a little before we begin the dinner?" Anton asked they all nodded.
"These are the times when I wish I was in the bar," Natalia whispered.
"I'm starting to think that you're an alcoholic," Alessandro said.
She turned to him. "Alcohol helps me escape."
"And one day it might kill you."
"Don't act like you don't drink it."
"Not as much as you, my first stay here you are in the bar and my second stay too."
"How do you know I was in the bar the first day?"
"I have my ways." She raised her eyebrow.
"I'm starting to think that you're a stalker." She joked causing him to chuckle.
"Why would you think that?" He asked.
"You stare at me nonstop."
"It's not my fault, your beauty hypnotizes me."
Their eye contact lingers before she smiled answering him.
"Why thank you."
"Anytime."
They continued staring into each other's eyes no one wanting to look away.
His dark brown eyes made her feel safe in his presence, the way he looked at her made her feel like she was the only one in the room and the way he smiles at her made her heart skip a beat.
Natalia never felt so vulnerable in front of anyone.
