"Since that's the case, why don't you let Trevon go and allow us to be together? Don't you have any feelings?"

Look at Annie's shamelessness! Under normal circumstances, the legitimate wife would have been furious and would have torn the mistress apart on the spot.

But who is Cindy? She was only concerned with the interests of the Austen Group and regarded everything else as a matter of indifference.

These words did not affect her at all.

With a graceful movement, Cindy brushed her stray hair from her forehead, coolly raised an eyebrow at Annie, and smiled defiantly. "I just love pissing you off. If you're unhappy, why don't you ask him to divorce me?

“After being his mistress for five years, did you get his approval? You could be mistaken for a free hooker. Tsk."

The vulgarity of her words caused Annie's face to turn pale with anger, and she raised her hand to strike Cindy.

But Cindy was not one to be taken advantage of. Before Annie could reach her, Cindy slapped Annie hard across the face.

The blow sent Annie stumbling backward.

A strong arm appeared just in time to seize her by the waist and draw her into a hug.

"Trevon." Annie, startled for a few seconds, quickly changed her expression to one of extreme grievance, and looked at him pitifully.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to congratulate Ms. Austen on securing a major project. I don't know how I ended up upsetting her..."

Annie's appearance was piteous and affected.

Trevon gently touched her swollen face with his fingertips, his voice low and tender. "Does it hurt?"

Cindy's smile froze on her face. She had never seen Trevon like this before. It was quite different from the cold, haughty, unapproachable Trevon she had usually seen.

So, Trevon was capable of being gentle; he just didn't reserve it for Annie.

Facing Trevon's gaze filled with anger, Cindy pursed her lips up indifferently. "Sorry, my hand slipped."

Annie, who seemed to be enduring the pain, said, "I'm fine, Trevon. Don't blame Miss Austen. I don't feel any pain at all."

Her tolerance only served to make Cindy seem more narrow-minded and spiteful.

When Trevon looked up at Cindy, his face was grave to the extreme, and a storm seemed brewing.

Cindy was exasperated to the uttermost. She did not wait for his anger to find vent but handed him the documents directly. "Please sign them. I have a tight schedule and no time to witness your lovey-dovey exchange."

Unexpectedly, he threw the document straight at Cindy's face.

"Just because you secured a new project, what's there to boast about? The company has suffered far more losses due to your continuous scandals than these few accomplishments." His face was impassive, and there was a deep-seated disdain in his eyes.

The papers fell from Cindy's face and scattered on the ground, making a loud noise in the quiet corridor.

Employees at the end of the hallway peeked out to witness the scene and could not help but express their disdain for Cindy. It was indeed a rare sight to see a president's wife in such distress.

Cindy was too weak-willed!
