CHAPTER 5

ALTERNATE ACTS

THE RIDDLE OF REALMS

Chapter opens up with a scene which happened to already be ongoing. Pete and Eira trying to get something out of the man which they got custody of and on the other hand, Calypso was on a bed in an unspecific room, laying upright.

Pete, with a pen knife in his palm, guarded by Eira who stood behind him, arms crossed and straight faced towards the man tied to a chair. Obviously seen, wounds, bruises and marks of torture existing on his face.

"I'll ask you...one..last..time." Said Pete who stooped to he chair's night and spoke right to the face of the man tied to it.

"What do you know?" His assumed next motion was to release the edge of the knife which he did.

"I've told you." *Cough intensified*

"All I wanted was the book." He turned to the left as he spat out.

"For what purpose?" Asked Eira. She furrowed as her brows almost knitted. Her arms were folded as she seemed more into the conversation now that ever.

"Hell..!" He started off, breaking his sentences by panting.

"Hell.." He said again with a laugh.

"Hell is rising." "For some reason, it hasn't risen get."

"I heard of a witch, Maria.." He slowly detailed. Pete slowly retreated to listen to what he had to say.

"She..set open the gates of hell." Earth is suppose to be a swamp of molten lava from hell but for some reason, it isn't."

"That doesn't answer my fucking question!" Pete snapped by releasing the knife again.

"I need it to undo what she has done!" He said.

"So you are a warlock?" Asked Eira.

"No sweetheart! I am a magician!" He grinned. "We aren't warlocks!" He hinted to them the possible fact that there are more of his type.

Eira and Pete had a sudden eye contact. As they were locked, obviously one had something to say.

Pete turned over before he spat the words out. "I don't believe him!" He sternly said to Eira with a sided glare at the man.

"Maybe he knows what the ring is or something?" "That might be why it was directing Calypso towards him." Eira reaffirmed.

Pete gasped before turning over. He put his hand into the specific pocket where he remembered having the ring. His movements paused for a while before his eyes opened up.

"The ring!" He tried to keep calm as well as search other pockets he had on his wear. Unfortunately, it was gone.

He instantly turned over and vanished without leaving any words. Only the orange aurora sort of effect from his vanish was left behind. Sight instantly followed across the fabric of reality. Thus, he was seen again before an empty space of land that once was a carnival.

"No! No! No!" He yelled as he fell on his knees, with the feel of what they had, just got spilled away.

Shadow - Camera View.

Laid on a bed, sight catches the closed eyes of Calypso. Whispers being heard, no words recognized. Flowing streams and little sounds were caught by shadow. Sight instantly flushes into her subconscious thus, where her mind was if not anything, danger at the moment.

What she had on in reality was as equal as to her subconscious. Seen again in a dark forest, steams and fog settled at the floor as the chips of crickets and snaps of ants were heard. She paid attention to her surrounding, by turning a hundred and eight degrees and back. Thus on turning back, she heard a voice that spoke;

"She who hides, herself drowning in the pits of her dismay, in the pits of her past which she demands knowledge of..." After saying thus, on catching the expression on Calypso's face, fear and fright visible made its way to traumatize her. Her brows were raised as her fingers shivered.

"Hello Calypso!" The voice echoed to her ears. A bright light illuminated as a sudden flash back occurred.

FLASHBACK

The past got re-viewed back in time, towards a period almost forgotten, when John's powers were returned.

The echoes of Raphael's voice was heard and the event replayed starting with a misty eyes of Shadow that opened up to the scene.

"Tempest day, tempest night, be you worthy, see the light, they day of help, that of trouble, see Ozais and see life." "Let all realms hear that I, have three!" Raphael's eyes were focused on Pete's and shadow very well, focused on Pete's face that was engulfed with surprise as his mouth was left open like he was about to say something.

No mouth moved, but just as Raphael's eyes were focused on Pete, there seemed to be a telepathic communication.

"Align the realms connected to earth and find a way and stop the Chaos before the time reaches!" He communicated to Pete, thus leaving him in complete awe.

He snapped his right middle finger against his thumb and a bright light once again, engulfed the screen.

His eyes opened up and the first place he saw himself was in a house, a house he seemed to not remember.

"Pete!" A familiar voice called. His face was raised up to the standing figure which turned out to be Eira. "Where...where have you been?" She yelled angrily, almost on the cliff of breaking down.

Another girl was present there, on the other hand of the room, it was Calypso. It seemed exactly like the house where they all currently reside at. "Pete!" Calypso called, as to recall, she seemed less depressed and less secreted. As it seemed, they knew each other already.

The three were studying the same course. Pete was a part time worker at a pizza shop. He as well was in a relationship with Eira as the clip seemed to recall. And Calypso has always been a witch.

Calypso, Eira. I think this might be crazy but I have powers. Said Pete, who threw away all other things to talk about at the moment.

"You...you are not crazy!" Calypso stammered. Without any expectations, she levitated the book that were around her. "I'm a witch!" She revealed.

Eira's glare towards Pete suddenly got calmed down before she spoke up. "Same as I!" She revealed before turning her fist to ice.

Pete was left in awe before he recalled an event. One that was showed to him when he was asleep on his first encounter with Raphael. He recalled when Raphael spread John's powers into seven bodies that their wasn't just seven of them with the ability.

The power reached more than just seven, and as to prove, Eira got her powers from the blast. Just at the end of his recall, he heard a voice that he heard recently.

"Align the realms that connect to earth and find a way to stop the chaos before the time reaches!" Raphael's voice echoed to Pete's ears as well as the other two.

"Do you hear that?" Calypso asked with a frightened face. Eira's facial expressions gave the answer to what was asked, accepting that she heard what the voice said.

Suddenly, they vanished from the reality they thought they were in, into a far one. Into a moment in time, which at that period was the future.

The three reappeared to the end of the first era where Maria destroyed Hades as well as opened the gates of hell.

"You three are in a journey. Everything that happens on earth will be reflected here." "You are to discover all twelve realms and align them." "You will see all they see but will not have anything to contribute to it." "The future has been decided and it has been seen, they will fail." "You three have the chance to save them." "Discover all realms on time, before the end of the era." The voice roared and struck like thunders and lightening.

"Once you have aligned the twelve realms connecting to earth, you three will have the chance and possible power to save them from the end of the era"

Said the voice of Raphael as he displayed what their fate was.

The fate where Maria rained hell and her friends vanished.

"This is a test, this test alone proves you worthy of taking upon the power which you will be given if the test is passed." "But if you fail to do so before the end of this era, if you fail to do so and you suddenly realise you are free from the time loop, then what you see has already happened, the end of the era has occurred, and the consequences is on the shoulders of you three."

"Solve the riddle of aligning the stars representing the realms." "Discern the good stars from the bad one." "When all the lines are on a straight pattern then you shall aid to prevent the fate you see." As sudden as the voice came, it faded.

"What...the...fuck!" Eira uttered slowly as she glanced at all that was going to happen soon.

Still in the flash back, and months later. The veil of reality broke as the three were suddenly free.

"We didn't finish it!" Said Pete as he glanced up at the sky. All realms were aligned apart from "Afterlife and Bridge of Life And Death!" Each star had a name and these two names were missing. It was until the veil was broken that the names revealed themselves.

They stepped out of the loop that seemed like a pocket world itself and on stepping into the world, they saw it was late. The end of the era had occurred already.

"We Are Late!" Said Pete. (In the flash back)

Light Fades.
