Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is a huge country teeming with people and opportunities. However, in this country seemingly filled with opportunities, we find that the unemployment rates has continuously skyrocketed. In 2020, statistical analysis, showed that the country's unemployment rates had hit an all time high of 27.10%. In effect, one out of every two Nigerians in the country is either unemployed or underemployed. With a labour force of 80.2 million people, about 21.7 million people are unemployed. This figure exceeds the population of 35 out of the 54 countries in Africa. Even among the young Nigerians aged between 25 and 34, the unemployment rates stands even higher at 30.7%.
