chapter 18

I got up the next day in a bed made of animal fur. Kept me warm through the night. I am greeted by some villagers. They are nice and welcoming. I been wondering if all of them are wolves. "lycans!" I gotta learn to say that now. I found Beepy chilling by the sun possibly recharging itself. Robots never get exhausted but they do need battery. "Good morning Gerald. Hows your sleep?" Beepy asked. "Like how l sleep in the house," I replied. Those lycans are cooking some pig on that campfire again. They may have hunt that last night or this morning. I went to the next hut. Look at the window and see Anthony still sleeping. Like a baby he was. Lee approached me and said, "You look like you need a warm up." He chews to a piece of meat. "Maybe, what kind of warm-up?" I replied. He brought me to a cage with gray wolves. I said, "oh no no! I'm not going in there!" He pushed me in and closed the gate. "Don't worry they'll be good if you are good at them," He said, Just don't act like the prey." He walks away.

Those wolves hiding by the shadow. I can see their eyes glowing blue. I stand on a corner while they kept staring. Lee is at the camp fire. I want to yell at him to come and get me out but I'm afraid that it will make those wolves angry so I sat looking at them while they do their business. Wandering around. Pulled my feet out of the way when one passed by, It hop and took my hat off. After a while Lee opened the cage and l finally got out. "Calm!" He said. Pale I am I walk away looking at that wolf chewing my hat. Anthony is awake came out of the door yawning. Lee grabbed him and said, "You need a warm-up too." Anthony says, "wait what!?" Then he is dragged to the cage. "Good luck," I said. A few minutes later he came out. "Asshole!" He said to Lee. He's not hurt or anything. He's fine! He sat by the camp fire I look at him. "Not pale?" I took the lid off the pot I'm cooking. Cooked chicken soup from a can that one lycan gave me while Anthony is in that cage. I pick a bowl and fill it with soup then give it to Anthony. I took one for myself too. "So... when will we leave this land?" Anthony asked. "When we are done with this bad guys they were saying," I replied. "But they said they don't need help from the HC? That's us," Anthony said. "If we didn't help Luna in the net then she had been caught by those scumbags," l replied. "Luna?" Anthony raised an eyebrow. "Yeah! Luna," I replied. Anthony put down the empty bowl. "you know her? Do you?" He asked. "Yes," I replied. Anthony nods " so... when? Last year?" He asked. "High school," I replied. 

"Evil hunters!" A man repeats the word out loud as he ran back to the village. The villagers then prepared. Closed their doors and the pack assembles by the entrance. I took my gun and Anthony took his. Beepy stayed on the same spot recharging. Me and Anthony stand on the back with our guns. One lycan told us to put the guns away and use other weapons  that doesn't cause  much noise. He pointed his finger at a big tree and said, "respect." Anthony refuses but I did. If these things exist then the spirit  of nature does and I don't want the consequences of it getting bothered. Took my knife then notice the axe by the logs so I put my knife on my left hand and grabbed the axe. The lycan nodded. A group of humans from afar is approaching with spears, swords, crossbows, and more. No one has guns so they do know about nature.

"Get out of our territory!" the pack leader said. "I need all of them dead or alive," The group leader replied. There's a lot of people about 50 of them by approximate. The leader continued to speak some stuffs about how can the lycans blood helps them and the lycans. The lycans are really angry so to end I made the decision. I hold the blade of my knife and throw it at the hunter leader. It went to his eye. His head bobbed before he hit the ground. Some lycans looked at me. "I'm sorry was it too early?" I said. "Bulls eye!" Anthony said. "Kill him!" The group yelled and they fired their crossbows. Mostly at me. I took cover. The lycans transformed to beast I can hear like cabbages crunching while they do that. They charge relentlessly to the enemy. I get out of my hiding spot when I heard Anthony firing his gun. I ran wielding an axe. Hit the first one that got in the village to the head. Chopped the scalp off. I hit the second one in the leg then I chop his chest. Anthony shouted, "behind you!"

I turned around and threw my axe to the guy holding a crossbow. Slit his throat open. I took a mace from a dead man. I whomped it on the enemy's stomach then to it's back. Anthony stayed on his spot shooting them in the head as the lycans rip others apart. It was a bloodbath. One got close to Anthony and took his gun then threw it away. It lay him on the ground trying to stab him in the chest with a knife. Two weapons are in front of me. A sword and a gun. If I use the gun I kill the guy fast but fail to follow what the lycan told me. If I use the sword I might not get in time. Yes I can make it in time, I took the sword an threw it like a spear to that enemy's head. Pierced right through both ends of his skull. He look like a halloween costume. I helped Anthony up, he almost got killed just a small cut to his chest. I took the gun. "So your bad at close combat," I said. "I really need more practice," he replied. "This is not over!" The evil hunter yells as he fled away alone and wounded. Anthony shot him in the head while he escapes. The lycans rejoice as they won another fight so they set a feast for all the people in the village. We didn't joined "what the hell?!" They cooked all those dead bodies! I saw Luna eating, lucky I never kissed her before. Lee offered a piece of meat and I said, "Hell no no thank you." Even Anthony denied. We stood by the entrance while Beepy is playing music. We were guarding for anything to come or just nothing. Lee told us that the group that attacked the village was a big number compared to before. Only ten or fifteen attack before but now they are huge in numbers.

More risk to come, but I need to follow what they want so I will never call the HC, well because l don't have my phone and watch with me if I didn't left the phone in the van. Tomorrow we will go home I decided, I been wearing the same clothes since I get here. I told it to Lee but I promised we will return. He's not bothered but he did say to be careful and just scream if we are in trouble. The next morning we walked our way home. 

It was a long walk. We met some of those bad hunters. What are we going to do. Theres a lot of them. They asked, "outcast?" I replied, "yes." "Wanna join our group?" They asked. We refused and kept moving. It's really a good thing that Anthony decided to shoot that guy in the head or both of us will be screaming like babies right now. Tired and exhausted we reach the city. I still got money in my pocket to buy some drinks before we went home. The next day we reported to HC. They assumed we were dead and yet they were so surprised and happy to see us. I told them about the van but I said it was an accident. They found the van they said. "Maybe some thugs blow your wheel?" they asked.

I replied, "maybe," I lied, I got through and they gave us a new van. I asked Anthony if he wants to come with me. "yeah," He replied. I brought some extra clothes, food in case they decide to eat humans again, a drum of bead tech or nano things whatsoever. I wore the watch and we drove back to the village. I saw some of those people again those evil hunters, they recognize the van and aimed their guns at us as we approach. I close my left fist and activated the nano tech made them flew around the van then I moved them to the enemies vehicle lifted it and slam it onto a few of them. Anthony was impressed "me strong arm rugghhhh!" he said in a deep voice. I laughed and continued driving. Commanded the nano to go back at the drum. Beepy is quite amazed and is playing with the nano tech. We stopped the van and parked it by the road. We went off to find the village. I know the way now and brought the nano things with me well they're just flying around. We arrive at the village and I hid the nano tech by the grass in front of the village.

"Hey they're back," a lycan said. Well couldn't they smell us far away. The lycan notice my watch and asked, "what is that you have on your arm?" I replied, "it's a weapon with less noise." "Just in the nick of time the pack is about to have war with another incoming group but small," she said. "The one with the truck?" I replied. I remember I crush some of them to death so I didn't worry. "You got them?" She asked. "Most of them," I replied. "Well thats great! Come we made some meal," she politely said. Anthony sat by  the campfire while I check around. I looked at that tall tree. Very big and full of vines. Moss grows by the rocks around it. I stepped closer and noticed grass growing around my foot steps. "She liked you..." The lycan looks at the footprints. He stepped on the soil and his foot step grew grass too. "You can be one of us," he said. "Me? No," I replied. I stepped away from the soil. My foot steps disappeared and so is his. He followed me as I walk. "You can be one of us,"he said. "I don't know if I wanted to," I replied. "But think about the power the life it will give you," he said. "I don't know if I want to," I replied.

Lee called me so I left the lycan. "I saw what happened," he said. "Oh not you too," I said in my mind. "You can be-" He said. "I don't know if I want to," I replied. "Would you like to help us do some hunting instead, the two of you," he said. "We can help with that," I replied. "Then lets go!" He replied. "Oh now? Oh now!," I said. "Yes now!" He replied. We went deep into the forest, just the four of us. Me, Anthony, Lee and a lycan named Moxie. We were walking behind the lycans. Anthony asked me "what do you think about the girl in front?" "No," I replied, "find someone else," I said. "I can hear both of you behind there," Moxie replied. Lee stopped walking. "Get down!," He said. We all get down and he peeked through the tall grass. "What is it?" I asked. "Hunters, monsters?" He replied. "What!" Anthony pulled out his gun while I turned on my nano tech and call them all. "They're too many," Moxie said. I commanded the nano to crawl by the ground, they covered the feet of every Evil hunter and lift them all up. "Got 'em!" I said.

All of them hang in the air while Lee asked where is their leader, they didn't replied so I covered one of their men with the nano and squeeze him to death. "Your not gonna tell us?!" I said. The man turned pale and show us his fangs. He looks like he wants to kill me so I pull the fangs out using the nanos but it grew back. "These people have successfully convert themselves to vampires," Lee said. "And they are not irritated from the sun," Moxie replied. They disappeared from our sight. I put my nano tech down. "Where did they go?!" I asked. "Stay alert!" Moxie said. I can hear grass waving around and some foot running. Anthony just shoot whatever rustles until he loose all his bullets without hitting anyone. The foot steps sound like its running around so I made a wall of nano on it's way and it slam into it. They slammed into it. I wrapped them in nano then squeeze them to death. There are some more. Moxie and Lee ran to the forest away from us chasing the vampires. The two of us are left. Anthony got caught and he was dragged away. I chased him. A vampire lift me up and lean me to a tree. She tried to bit me but I strangled her with my nanos and cut her head off. I can't find Anthony. Lee and Moxie came back and their hands and mouth are covered with blood. They said they can find him.
