Diane and Nate POV

After the dinner and conversation we had with Franz family, decide to go back to the resort.. It feels like home and I'm happy for my friend that we are warmly welcoming to be with them... And as usual I hop in Nate's car, we remain silent as Nate is driving. I really don, 't know how to start a conversation with him. I just got, so nervous Every time were neared to each other or when his around.

How are you?” Nate ask, while his attention is on the road.

“I'm fine, don, 't I look one?” I ask him back... He looked at me in the eye. And I feel like I was caught off guard, I can't meet his eyes, so, I just lower my head to hide my sorrow.

“ There's no harm on saying NO! As I see it, it is better to say Yes to avoid far explaining, but you know what it will give you a burden when you conceal it... Try to share it to others sometimes and you will see, You will be enlightened.

I once again held my head high to deny it, but he already sees through my thoughts. What's with this man… I told myself he really can read my thoughts... Just great! 

Silly woman! I told myself, I want to hug her but I don't want to give her misconceptions. I want her and it will take time... Not for now. I just Tsk the idea... This woman gives me a reason to love again..

But it's too complicated for now since she is in the process of healing right now so all I can do is to be her friend, to be his confidante. I don't want to rush things for her since she and John just got split up 5 days ago. Nate said to himself...

We are in an awkward silence until we reached the resort, non of us want to break it. We are somewhat trying to process what had happened the first time of our encounter, and I feel so sorry for him... I realize it's not his fault anyway... But I punish him for nothing... Its really very embarrassing.. I personally was very shame to what I did to him...

He got out first of the car and went on my side to open his car for me and I got out...

“Thank you!” I said to him..

“Are you tired?” he ask, "No, not yet...” I answer,

“ You want to explore the whole resort? I'll be your tour guide...” he offered..

“ Ok! Can we walk? I want to breath a fresh air…" As the night air getting colder my heart is warmer for his concern. And the affection that his towering on me making me overwhelm. 

I was in the healing process, Yes, but to ignore his concerned and sincerity are so hard to resist. I've been with John since high school but I never felt this kind of feelings to anyone except Nate.

I and John was like a companion relationship, we go kissing, but I always have self-preservation. I don't know if it is because of respect that we never do couples stuff or maybe we don, 't really love each other.

I know he is a man and he had a needs, but I couldn't give him. We've been together maybe because we became friends first, and I was just carried away the fact that his always there to guide me. Not to mention he doted me Every time, but I know and I feel that we don, 't have sparks...

Strange that I felt different with Nate, the fact that he is a stranger, but the feelings is so strong...

As we are walking on the seaside he stop on his track as I was following him, I didn't expect to bump my head on his back.

“Urghhh... Sorry! I didn't see you stop!” I told him as my face was so red.. I'm so embarrassed.

“ Which only means your off to nowhere...” He said..

“Why don, 't you share it, let me help you take off your burdens...” he turnaround and touch my face I can feel that cares his giving...

I don't know how to react to his concern as well as, I don't know how to start...

“ Don't worry, It'll be over soon…" I told him, I saw he feels turned down… But he still answers me…

“ I hope too... Soon right!” He said, I smiled to him...

" Why are you so polite with me?!” 

“ I will not deny this Diane, the first I saw you, You gave me the feeling of completeness. I will not be rush you to answer me now, I just want you to know I want you! And I'm willing to wait until you ready… Until you are willing to give your heart to me whole heartedly. You are  the only girl I'm looking forward to…” He said honestly..

And I was like ...

”...” Speechless..

“I'm not going to force you to answer back now…" Nate told her…

“ Can you wait?” I told him.. 

“ Yes! For you...” He answer without hesitations.

“ Ok!” She told him and he smiled..

“ What?!” I told him..

“ Nothing, I was just happy...” 

“ Brute! I don't remember I said things that can make you happy...”

“ You ask if I can wait, so basically your thinking of giving as a chance...” He smirk.

“ Ow! What an advance thinker you are!” I teased him.

He composed himself and became serious… He looked at me in the eye.

“Diane, I maybe come, so early or late remember I can wait until you accept me as your boyfriend.”

“ Do you usually say that to all  the girls your interested with?”

“ Nope! I'm a serious person, and I don't do fling like my friend… I have once in love to someone but after her I never try to be with others until now.” He said with confessions…

“Why your so defensive...” I told him…

“Because you did not seem to believe me...” I was so lost that I don't even know how to answer him… I was just saying that to guard myself. I maybe attracted to him, but still I need to be careful. He and Franz are the man with accomplishments so basically they attract a lot of girls.. And mostly expose to temptations, I don, 't want to be a cry lady in the end…

“Me and Franz are not the same… We both have our differences but you see… In spite that we still manage to be friends…" I look at him and tell myself, am I that transparent, he can read my thoughts…

I just shrugged the idea but hoping for him to wait until I'm ready to be on the track again.

“I appreciate that honesty...” I look at him. “ Just don't go too far... I want you to be near me... Always.."

" Is that means we can be together?” I ask her with a smile..

“ As long as you will not change...” I replied, " At least I already know what to do... I will take good care of you.." He said, " Let’s go back…"

We are holding hands when we go back to the resort, hoping things will get better in the future... And I will try to make a way for her to meet my family soon.....
