After a good nights sleep I woke up to get ready for my first day of work.
To say I was worried about what I should wear would be an understatement.
I want to make sure Im dressed properly and look professional. I decided to wear a white pencil skirt with a red blouse. Then straighten my hair and put on my mascara and nude lipstick. I don't usually use lipstick, but since today is the first day of work, I decided to put it on.
I glanced at my watch to see that its 6:30 am. I guess I woke up early. Oh well, thats a good thing. Since I still have an hour till work starts, I decided to stop by somewhere to get some breakfast.
When I got outside, I quickly called for a taxi.
"Taxi!" I shouted while raising my hand.
When the taxi came, I grabbed the door handle only to be stopped by another hand.
"Tell Miss. Dream. When are you going to start learning that you shouldn't take things that don't belong to you?" said a familiar deep voice.
Oh You have got to be kidding me.
I turned around, smiled and said "Good morning Mr. Day. Nice to see you again."
He smirked and said "Yes, yes it is. Now Miss. Dream, will you kindly move aside so that I may get in the cab?"
What? Okay please tell me this is not going to be just like yesterday.
"Mr. Day, I don't know if your're joking, but this time this really is my cab." I said exasperated.
He smirked and said "I assure you Miss. Dream. I am certainly not joking."
"Mr. Day, I got here first"
He laughed and said "Ms. Dream, now you need to learn to stop lying."
"Mr.Day this is ridiculous. I am not lying. You can go —"
Before I could continue my sentence another man behind Matthew spoke up.
"Excuse me Miss. We can share the cab Im taking." He shouted and smiled.
I stopped arguing with Matthew and looked over his shoulder to see a tall dark and handsome man, dressed in a dark gray business suit. He has the most gorgeous pair of green eyes and light brown hair that makes you just wanna run your hands through it.
I moved passed Matthew and walked up to the man.
This man is gorgeous.
He's not better looking then Matthew but still, I would be lying if I said this man was anything but handsome.
I walked up to the man and said "Thank you. Its nice to see that chivalry isn't dead."
I heard a scoff behind me. Knowing its from Matthew, I chose to ignore it and payed attention to the man in front of me instead.
"Im glad to hear that. The names Mark. Mark Davidson." He said smiling at me and sticking out his hand for me to shake.
"Ali. Ali Dream." I said shaking his hand.
"Nice to meet you Ali." He said with a smile, that shows off his pearly white teeth.
I smiled and said "Im going to a place 9 mins from here for breakfast before I start work, so you'll mostly have the cab to yourself."
"You don't need to worry about that and I was heading out for breakfast before I start work too. Lets grab some breakfast together at Starbucks. Does that sound okay with you?" He asked
"That sounds great. Thanks." I said.
There was a moment of silence where we just stood there smiling at each other until it was interrupted with someone clearing their throat.
Oh right. I forgot we weren't alone.
Sadly.
I turned to Matthew, laughed and said "Well Mr. Day, looks like you get your cab after all."
"Actually Miss. Dream, I change my mind. Since your're my P.A, we should go to work together in the same cab." He said sounding a little upset.
Oh great. Now he's upset. What is wrong with this man!? This guy has serious issues. He is so ridiculous.
"No thank you. Thats alright." I said back.
"Your're going to be late for work." said Matthew with a smirk.
I looked at my watch and saw that it was 6:40. I still have 50 mins left.
"What time do you start work?" said Mark.
"7:30"
"Great. You have 50 mins left. Lets hurry, that way we will have enough time to eat breakfast and you won't be late for work." said Mark.
"Sounds great. Good Idea." I said smiling at Mark.
I turned to Matthew and said "I guess I'll see you at work Mr. Day"
I waved goodbye to Matthew and joined Mark in the cab.
Well that was an interesting way to start off my day.
