Lisa

"What brings you here, Lisa?"

I sat in front of his table.

"I just want to personally thank you for not telling dad what really happened and for punishing the cheerleaders."

He leaned his elbows on his table "Your dad and I fought because of that but it's okay." He smiled at me "I know you're happy here and I don't want to take that happiness away from you. Just be more careful next time okay?"

I nodded "Thank you, uncle."

"Why don't you visit your babies? I know you miss them."

"Maybe next time, uncle." I smiled "Thank you for taking care of my cars."

After my talk with my uncle, I ran back to my class. Jennie smiled immediately when she saw her walking towards her.

"Lisa, where have you been? We're having our final review." Jennie asked me

I sat next to her "Principal's office just for some important matters."

I glanced at Jisoo and Rose studying together "Nini, call the priest."

Jennie frowned "Why? What's wrong?"

"There is a Manoban here!"

Jennie glanced at the two girls "Silly."

I chuckled after I gained death glares from the two.

Our teacher came. He instructed us to hide all our notes then he started to pass our papers.

The exam wasn't really hard if you reviewed. It's now our last exam. I'm thanking Jennie for reviewing me last night because all we reviewed is all in the exam.

"Finally! Hell is over!" Tao celebrates while stretching his arm upward "We can relax now."

"Why don't we go to Lisa's this weekend?" Rose suggested

"Sorry, guys. My daddy asked me to spend my weekend with him before he goes to work." I sadly informed them

"Your dad is here?" Jennie asked

"He flew here just this week for a business matter and weekend is the only time we have for our bonding." I answered; carefully not slip any information about our family

As if on cue, my phone started to ring and it's my daddy.

I asked them to wait for me in the parking lot before I answered the call.

"I'll be for you on that bench." Jennie insisted to stay and waited on the bench near us

I excused myself and answered the call.

"Daddy."

"Mija, I'll just inform you that we'll fly to London tomorrow for your check up and I talked to your doctor yesterday, he said that if he see that your heart is not doing good, you need to temporarily stop going to school and have your surgery as soon as possible."

"And what if my heart is doing well?"

"We'll stick to the old plan but daddy wants a favor from you."

"What is it?"

It's rare for dad to ask a favor from me and if he does it's really important.

"I want you to have your surgery as soon as possible. The doctor said that though your heart is doing well, he is also afraid that the chance that you'll survive the operation will drop to 40%. Please, mija. I want you to do this for yourself and for daddy."

"Daddy...” I closed my eyes to prevent my tears from falling

Why is my life so fucked up? Why do I have to face all this bullshit? Am I a bad person to experience all of this?

"What if I die? What if...”

"You're not going to die, princess. I'm not going to lose, you understand?"

I felt the love in every word he said. I should be brave for him; I don't want to leave my daddy alone. Not ever.

"I'm afraid, daddy but I am more afraid of leaving you. Just give me one more month to recover from my injury and prepare myself."

"Alright, I'll pick you around 5 in the morning. I love you and thank you for listening to your old man"

"I love you too, daddy." I ended the call

I walked back to Jennie.

"What's wrong Lisa?" She immediately stood up

"I'm... I'm having my operation next month." I said to her

She was shocked about the news I just dropped and I never missed the concern in her eyes.

"How come? I thought..."

"My doctor said that if I really wanted to survive the operation I should have my operation next month." I shared and my voice didn't fail to show fear

She held my hand "I'll be there. I promise you that."

I sighed, feeling the warm of her touch. Why do I feel this towards you, Jennie Kim?

I glanced at Lisa's empty desk. The weekend passed painfully without Lisa's presence and I was expecting to see her today but Jisoo said Lisa hasn't gone home yet.

"Are you okay? I can see the sadness all over your face." Rose whispered to me

I nodded "I'm just worried about Lisa. I'm trying to contact her but...”

I was interrupted with a knock on the door. Seconds later, the person that I'm craving to see for two days, peeked her head inside our classroom.

"I’m sorry, sir. I've been in London this weekend and our flight was delayed." Lisa shared before the teacher can even asked why she's late

My mood quickly changed. I feel my soul jumping from happiness seeing Manoban again.

She smiled at me when our eyes met. I gave her a gummy smile. Geez, I can't hide my happiness. 

The teacher let her go to her seat. When she's finally sitting next to me, my heart goes wild and the butterflies inside my stomach.

"Did you miss that much that you can't stop staring at me?" She said but her eyes are looking at the board

I glared at her "You're so full yourself, Manoban."

"Just admit it because I missed you too." She whispered to my ear

I shivered, feeling a hot breath against my ear.

"I...” I looked at her and she had a lopsided smile on her lips "You're crazy!"

She chuckled "I'm just kidding but I'm serious when I said that I missed you." This time she plastered a genuine smile

I can't help but melt at her charm. I just smiled at her and made sure she heard me saying "Me too."

We are now sitting on our table. They are all asking what happened to Lisa's trip to London.

"How was it, Lis? I miss the London vibes. Did you enjoy it there?" Rose asked Lisa

Before Lisa can answer, Jisoo already spoke.

"Really? That's all that matters to you? Try to ask her about her heart condition." Jisoo sarcastically said

"I'm going to ask her about that too. I'm just giving her a good mood before we can be serious." Rose said her counter back

Before Jisoo can say her counter back, V already covered her mouth so that Lisa can speak.

"Go, you can speak now, Lisa." V said to Lisa while Jisoo is trying to free herself from V

"It was fun going back to London. It was nice seeing the busy streets and seeing the entire architectural masterpiece there." Lisa sweetly smiled after

"How about your check up?" Tao dropped the question we all have in our minds

"I'm going back to London next month for my surgery. Though the doctor said that my heart improved but we can't risk my life just for that little improvement."

"Are you ready for it?" Jisoo spoke she finally freed herself from V

"I need to be ready. I need to live long for my daddy. I still want to live because of you guys, you're giving so many reasons to fight and be brave." She looked at me and said, "You made me realize that there is more reason to live."

The last sentence made me feel that she only said that to me or am I just dreaming?

"Aww. Our Limario is being too emotional." Jisoo coed

Rose's hand carefully touched Lisa's cast "JenLy?"

"It's our friendship name, right Nini?" Lisa turned her attention to me

I blushed and nodded "Yeah."

I glanced at Rose who plastered a lopsided smile at me.

"It's cute." V commented

I saw Tao looking back and forth to me Lisa, like he's trying to read our minds.

"Is there something wrong, Tao?" I asked, it's our first conversation since he arrived here

"Nothing, I'm just happy that Lisa made friends with you." He answered

I just nodded and smiled at him.

It's been a routine for Jungkook to stop by to our table with his team.

"Jennie, I was texting and calling you nonstop last weekend but you weren’t answering. Is there something wrong?"

I looked up to him and said, "I was busy last weekend, I'm sorry."

"It's okay. My mom asked if you can have dinner with us."

"I'm afraid that I am free tonight. Rose and I planned a sleepover, right Rose?" I gave her a 'just say yes or else' look

"Yes, we planned those weeks ago." Rose agreed

I sighed in relief.

"How about the next night? My mom really wants to meet you." Jungkook gave me a hoping smile

"I'll check my schedule. I'll text when I'm free."

He nodded. It caught me off guard when he learned to kiss my head.

"I miss hanging out with you." He said before he walked away with his team
