Niyah’s POV

Grandpa trained me hard for a week and helped me control my three vampire powers.

For an unknown reason, Stella had extended our holidays for two weeks more and every student had all the more reason to celebrate.

Sage begged me to extend my stay with him, to which I agreed as I had been too busy training and rarely gave my time to him.

He too had been busy with his pack business and it seemed that the both of us needed a break.

Sage’s pack members had not returned from their vacation yet but he said that he was expecting them to come any day soon as they had planned the trip in accordance to Sage’s original schedule to leave after a week for Asheville.

They didn’t know about the extended vacation, so I decided to welcome them and surprise them with a grand party.

Afterall, I was going to be their Luna but they didn’t know that !

I was busy in the kitchen alone and preparing the dishes while Sage had important matters to discuss with Jason.

Suddenly I heard a babble of female voices and turned around towards the main door to check if the pack family had arrived already or not.

But there was not a single soul in sight !

As I stood at doorway in surprise, the babble of voices seemed to get more excited and louder.

For a moment I forgot about those mysterious voices when I suddenly got a whiff of the familiar fruity smell of my mate.

He hugged me tightly from behind as he wrapped his arms around my abdomen and snuggled his nose in the crook of my neck as if inhaling my scent completely.

“Sage”, I called him out as he delved deeper from my neck to my chest.

Sage had got my name tattooed across the left side of his chest in a rose as he had told me that this what I smelt of, which sent his senses in a tinzy.

I bit my lip seductively as I enjoyed the sight infront of me and purred softly, “Niyah likes what she sees”, I said referring to myself in third person as I propped my head on my elbows letting him see through my deep neck.
