chapter 13

I got up extra early to see if the bruise from last night had settled down and if not I need to try and do something.

The bruise is the fucking same, a big purple blotch on the side of my chubby cheek. I don't have any make up left to cover this shit up so I just need to pray no one cares or see's it. I should probably have an excuse just in case as well.

After showering I changed into a black shirt along with a sky blue ankle length skirt.

I slipped on my only pair of heels and my scarf before walking to the bus stop. As I got into work I kept my head down and went straight to my office. Getting started on letters I smiled at my schedule today, I don't have to see him too much. He's got quite  few personal meetings to attend.

I was half way through  letter when my office door was slammed open making me jump, my eyes shot towards the door where Mr Santos was stood furiously in  dark grey suit.

" where the fuck is my coffee" he stated scarily calm, shit. Quickly getting up I grabbed the company card from my desk.

" sorry sir I forgot I'll go get it now" I mumbled quietly before walking toward the door but just as I opened it he pulled me back harshly.

He turned me around, his finger pushed my face to the side and I watched as his simple glare turned into flaming fury.

" what the fuck happened to your face!!" He yelled angrily, I gently removed his finger from my face and stepped back.

" I f..fell" with that I left to get him coffee.

I'm slowly walking back from the coffee shop with his hot black coffee in my hands, I have to avoid his questions, he probably doesn't even care anyways but I genuinely hate talking to him.

Walking into my office I placed my empty purse down then I knocked on his door, he muttered a come in and I entered. He's sat at his desk leaning back in his comfortable chair. I placed the coffee on the table and started walking to the door, please please don't stop me.

" sit down or I'll fire you" stupid prick, turning around I sat on the chair in front of him. His face shows no emotion but his eyes are still locked on my bruise causing me to look away quickly.

" what. happened. to. your. face" he muttered firmly as he leaned forwards and put his muscular arms under his chin. It's his fault, his fault that I stayed late and his fault that I can't eat for 3 days. Rolling my eyes I sighed tiredly. 

" I got mugged" I said quietly, Xavier got up and walked towards me with confidence lurking with him.

" your telling me you got mugged in the fucking light of day" the hell what do you mean, standing up I walked closer to him angrily.

" no Mr Santos, I left at 9.30 after I finished all the folders you threatened me to have done by today" his face went blank, motioning for me to leave he turned around to face the wall to wall windows. 

Sighing in despair I tattered back to me office tiredly, arguing makes me tired. He couldn't even reply after finding out it was his fault I got mugged.

Looking up at the clock my stomach growled in sadness, it's lunch and I still have no money. To take my mind away from food I grabbed a book from the shelf and began reading.

A few moments later I got interrupted in the middle of an interesting twist when baby cries rang through the office. There's only Xavier and I on this floor the receptionist is not because it's lunch, oh please don't say this is some paranormal shit.

Reading Ay-Tul-Kursi I put my book on the desk and ambled out of my office, just as I stepped out of the room my heel hit something on the ground, looking at the ground my heart jumped at the sight. A baby carrier.......with an adorable baby snuggled inside. The little babies blonde hair and blue eyes shone under the harsh lighting.

Reaching down whilst simultaneously cooing I gently picked up the baby girl when Mr Santos exited his office. As soon as his eyes landed on the princess in my arms he glared right at her.

" is that yours" he said with anger lacing his tone, nodding no I glanced back at her carrier to see an envelope. Leaning down I grabbed the envelope, placing the baby on my chest I tore it open whilst glancing at Xavier. His soulless eyes still show zero emotion. How.

Unfolding the letter I took one more look at boss before reading it aloud.

'Dear Xavier

The baby's yours and I am not gonna look after it.
I have stayed home for the whole 9 months and I looked after her for sometime so no one will see me fat but now it's yours, look after the bitch, she cries too much.

Love Brittany.'

My eyes widened as I finished, it's Xavier's baby.

" it's yours....some women called Brittany is the mom" Xavier's jaw clenched as soon as the words escaped my lips, taking a calculating look a the baby he turned around and stormed into his office.

The sudden noise caused the princess to start bawling again.

" it's ok baby" I cooed in her ear and rocked her whilst walking into my room, continuously rocking the adorable baby she finally fell asleep in my arms. Sighing in confusion I stared down at her, she actually resembles him quite a lot. Her light caramel skin and curly hair seem to be the most prominent features she's taken from her apparent father.

Grabbing my folders I started to fix a few contracts whilst holding her. It's been three hours since the whole ordeal and Mr Santos came into my room quietly, he stood by the door staring at her.

Gently standing from my seat I waddled towards Santos, reaching him I held her out waiting for him to grab her which he did, quite willingly might I add.

" what are you going to name her" I asked softly, Xavier instantly looked confused but then glanced back at her face again.

" Amber Santos" he announced quietly after a few seconds of silence, that's beautiful. I grabbed my chair and was about to sit when Xavier's facial expression instantly morphed into one of anger again.

" Amber is taking a piss on me" I couldn't help bursting out into laughter, oh lord this is the most I've laughed in this damn place.

" what the fuck do I do!!" He yelled disrupting my laughing session. I grabbed Amber from him and placed her sideways so I didn't get any pee on me.

" we need to get diapers and baby food" he nodded and grabbed his wallet.

" you go to the garage and I'll meet you there. No one should know it's my baby" he said sternly before walking away. Why wouldn't you want anyone to know you have a beautiful child. #weirdo.

Quickly walking to his private lift I pressed garage and sighed. What a long and amazing day it has been so far.
