The school did the exact same to me. Others around me found it amusing while I found it extremely embarrassing.
Mark made it his habit to ask me about Miranda at school. Miranda and I would have a converse before the school bell rang in the morning. We also converse during recess. Miranda made it her habit also to inquire about Mark. Basically, they both wanted and needed to know about each other this they use me.
