Chapter 27 You Can Look at me As Much as You Want at Home

"I think you damn know it well that I dare…"

Having finished that sentence, Su Ziyue was surprised by what she had said. Ann Xia gave her a strange look and said, "Where did you catch that phrase?"

She lifted her eyes and looked out of the French window. Her gaze rested on the Rolls-Royce. Then she said to Su Ziyue with a teasing smile, "From that man?"

Su Ziyue knew that she was talking about Qin Muchen. But she found it hard to explain the relationship between she and Qin Muchen, so she quickly denied with a blush, "What? Of course not!"

Looking at the awkward expression on her face, Ann Xia didn't buy what she said. She folded her arms and squinted at Su Ziyue with a tilted head, "Tell me the truth, so that I can forgive you. Surely you can choose not to tell me. After all, you’re the one who just left and went abroad without even a word. I guess you just don't take me as your friend."

Saying this, Ann Xia turned her head to the windows, looking a little down.

Su Ziyue paused. She thought of the past, and still felt a little bit reluctant inside. But finally, she decided to tell Ann Xia. After all, Ann Xia was her only trusted friend, and she didn't want to lose her.

Ann Xia had a quick temper. She liked coming straight to the point and resented delay and slowness. And coincidentally, a cab was coming over, so she stopped it, got on the cab and left.

Before Su Ziyue could stop her, Ann Xia was gone. Qin Muchen walked toward her with an umbrella, saying in a low voice, "Let's go."

Su Ziyue was in a good mood after seeing her best friend again. If it wasn't getting late, she might spend more time with her friend. They had spent great time together, talking about the past and feeling warm inside. 'That's what makes us real friends,' she thought.

Su Ziyue, looking at the direction in which Ann Xia was gone, answered to Qin Muchen with a drift mind, "Okay."

Then she was pulled by him passively to their car.

Getting on the car, Su Ziyue was still in a happy and excited mood. She couldn't help but curl up the corner of her mouth. Her eyes were sparkling bright with pleasure.

Qin Muchen was stunned by her beaming face. He had never seen her being in such a good mood since they met.

"Is she your good friend?" Qin Muchen asked as he leaned to fasten the seat belt for her.

"Yes…" Su Ziyue giggled, forgetting there had been some clashes between them before.

Seeing her smiling face, he was a little bit carried away, so he straightened up and moved closer to her, lifted up her chin and gave a quick peck on her lips.

The smile on her face was gone with her eyes wide opened, "What… What are you doing?!"

"Don't be mad. There, there. How about I treat you to dinner?" Qin Muchen looked at her with a gentle smile. He reached out his fingers and pinched her cheek like she was a lovely child.

Su Ziyue shunned by turning her face aside and pushing his hand away, "Who cares about your dinner!"

'You think I'm still upset about what happened yesterday, so you're going to buy me a dinner? Do you think a dinner could win my heart? Tsk!' Su Ziyue sneered inside.

But Qin Muchen didn't mind. He was still smiling as he turned the ignition key and started the engine, "I care."

Hearing this, Su Ziyue turned her face towards him. 'I had to admit Qin Muchen got a good look, and maybe he was the hottest guy I've ever seen.'

He looked cold when he didn't smile. People would naturally find him aloof and beyond reach even if he had done nothing.

And that's how Su Ziyue felt then.

"Why do you stop talking?" Getting no response from her for a while, Qin Muchen turned his head and looked at her. The corner of her lips curved up as his eyes narrowed jokingly, "We spend days and nights together, but you just can’t get enough looking at me, do you?"

His chuckle melted the sense of distance, but she could still feel it. If what he had done before impressed Su Ziyue as a sign of being fond of her, then now she'd got a second thought.

Su Ziyue stared at him for a while, and then turned her eyes to the window without saying a word.

Feeling her subtle change of mood, Qin Muchen thought for a while as his eyes became deeper, but the smile on his face didn't disappear. "You can look at me as much as you want at home. Now let's go to have dinner."

When they went out of the restaurant, it's ten o'clock at night. The rain still didn't stop.

A cold breeze blew over and made her chill for she was wearing a sleeveless dress. She folded her arms with a pale face, but next moment she felt a sense of warmth coming from her shoulder.

It was Qin Muchen. He was in a black shirt with his sleeves rolled up, and the muscle on his forearms made him look extremely graceful and fit.

He took out a long black umbrella, pushed the button and opened the umbrella, lifting it above their heads. And then he held out his spare arms around her shoulder, making her cuddle up against him, and saying with a clear voice, "Let's go home."

Su Ziyue was a slim woman and much shorter than Qin Muchen, so she was nearly covered up by him in his hug. 'He's got a massive chest. It looks like he can really keep me safe.'

Su Ziyue was a little bit shocked by her thought.

She couldn't help but look up at him, and then she realized one of his shoulders was wetted by the rain. The umbrella was tilted toward her side.

She was touched by his subtle care and kind gesture, and the feeling of doubt and denial a few moments ago was now repressed.

That's right. She was defamed and was left out by the Su Clan. Although she knew she was pretty, there were too many pretty women out there. Therefore, other than the fact that Qin Muchen had feelings for her, she couldn't find any other reason about why he was being so nice to her.

On the way home, Su Ziyue was thinking about this.

"What's the matter? Does the food in the restaurant too tasty so you miss it already? You've been absent-minded since we had dinner. We are at home right now, but you still look like this."

Qin Muchen' s sudden voice made her come around.

"I'm going to take a shower." Su Ziyue replied shortly as she still didn't figure it out, so she did not want to talk much. She opened the wardrobe and was about to take some clothes out.

But the moment she opened the wardrobe, the door of the wardrobe was then slammed close by Qin Muchen. Su Ziyue was startled by his sudden move. She stood with her back against the wardrobe instinctively.

Qin Muchen put his hands above her shoulders and against the wardrobe, limiting her between himself and the wardrobe, leaving no space for her to escape. His eyes were dark and deep, as if he was going to see through her, "Tell me what you're thinking…"

Su Ziyue panicked and spontaneously denied before he finished his question, "I'm not thinking about you anyway!"
