Nicholai POV

I hate weddings. Ever since Amanda died, I despised it. But here I am now at Jake and Gabby's wedding staring at the most beautiful girl in the world, Cassie. As they made their vows my eyes were fixed on my angel feeling happy and contended.

She agreed to move in with me and everything was great nothing can ruin it. We were happy and that's what matters most. At the reception everyone was having so much fun. We eat, drink and danced. Then came my best man speech.

"Good evening, everyone. And congratulations to the man and woman of the hour Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. All of you know that this man, right here is my best friend. We practically grew up together and I never seen him so happy. So thank you Gabby for making him very happy. Years ago, we vowed never to get married, that love was only for crazy people. And here he is today showing you all how crazy she is for this woman. Three years ago Jake told me about her. I thought it would past I mean we, me, Jake and Cole had a reputation that is known to all. I said one day he'll get tired of her, he'll get bored and find a new girl to play with. But he didn't. You know why because he had found the woman he is deeply crazy in love with. Can't blame him though for the time I got to know Gabby I found out that she is for keeps. Gabrielle, sweetie, you are a rare gem that luckily Jake had discovered. So to you my best friend, my brother, I wish you all the best and I hope you don't do anything stupid that will make you lose her. Because believe me bro, there are hundreds that deserve her more but she choose you among them. And Gabby if ever you encounter any trouble with Jake you can always call me. We two may not get along well but I want you to know I'm here for you two. Jake loves you and I love anyone my friend loves."

Gabby hugged me tightly and she cried. "Thanks, Nick. Just promise me one thing."

"Sure, anything." I said calming her.

"Take care of Cassïe. She loves you so much." She whispered.

Gabby's words kept replaying on my head during the party, Take care of Cassïe. She loves you so much. Cassie loves me? Love was out of our equation. She can't fall in love with me. She just can't. Maybe Gabby was just reading way beyond the lines. She just imaging everyone to be in love since she was so in love. She's in cloud nine and just tied the knot with Jake.

I heard nothing with what Cole said in his speech. It was probably full of silly nonsense knowing him. The crowd kept on laughing. And yelling cheers.

Cassie was next with her speech. She was so breath taking. My angel, was perfect and there was nothing that will make me say otherwise. I focus all my attention to her.

Cassie POV

I nervously went to the podium. Nicholai and Coles speeches were short but perfect. How can I top that? The crowd love them.

Well here goes nothing...

"Hello, everyone. I just want to say congratulations to the newly weds. I'm so happy for you best. I never imagine seeing you getting married. I mean you hated the idea of wedding or marriage as a whole. You call me things everytime I daydream about my wedding. But now here you are married to the man you love. To Jake, I know you love my bestie so please make her happy everyday. I know this is cliché but you only find your true love once. So don't ever let them go. You two are each others half. The missing part of your life puzzle. I love you so much guys. You two deserve each other."

I cried as I embrace Gabby and Jake. I mean I am a hopeless romantic. Weddings always make me emotional. I know my future groom is here somewhere can't wait for him to find me.

Everything went great at the reception. Nicholai seemed strange though he was quiet the whole time. Cole told me just not to mind him cause Nicholai just hate weddings. When I inquire why he just said to let it go. That Nicholai will explain once his ready.

What is he hiding from me? Why was he acting so strange?
