I have powers." He could see her calmly looking at him and repeated his words. "I have powers."

After what happened a couple months ago, Clara stopped wondering. "The bit of humanity that survived as they had different DNA. Or better said, humans, evolved a bit and survived. No wonder you got powers. But, how do you know? Or how did you find out?"

Alex sighed. This woman is logical. But he continued explaining.

"I had a dream a few weeks ago. Humans came from another planet." He stopped as he saw her lips turning into a smile.

"I had that dream a long time ago. Sorry for comment. Continue." Clara was certain since childhood that humans couldn't be evolved apes.

He relaxed and smiled. She has some basic memories probably. "Our planet was about to get destroyed by huge asteroid swarm and leaders chose thousands of planets in different systems to send humans."

As he spoke Clara started imagining such action and became serious. If that really happened...

"Anyway, one of the ships was sent with tens of thousands of humans to this planet. But one asteroid hit the ship when he was about to enter Earths orbit and humans that were flying in protective boxes dropped on the planet and they woke up in smaller groups, thinking they were the only ones alive.'' Alex could see her dreamy eyes and smile.

" What happened next. How comes we never found the main ship that we came with?" She asked the question dazedly but then snapped out of it. "Sorry. Continue."

She knew he was talking about the dream, but somehow his voice made her recollect the dreams from her childhood. Strange...

''Anyway, those groups realized that other as well survived but probably around the planet. Knowing that there might be more that survived they tried to travel around. But travelling around in a world filled with ferocious animals and unknown plants was not that easy. So they stopped at the places they found enough food and planned to search for other humans afterwards."

He stood up and sighed as he started pacing. "But they never did it. Their children had a feeling they had to search for the others and some moved a bit further away and then stopped again and perfect stop to live, and so things repeated. When the tenth generation came they knew they had to search for something and the great moves started. But instead of staying together with other humans, they started arguing and wars, as they thought they need for a search, is that. The need for bigger groups and being together as heard is that. But its actually our DNA telling us that we must all come together and go back home. And now let me explain another thing... The powers."

Clara was still dazed as he explained. "Our planet had a strong magnetic field. So most of our people were very strong and swift on other planets. That is the basic ability of real DNA. All humans have it, or how comes there are so many stories about humans having this and that power. It's not a hoax. They just make it that way, so commoners would freak out."

Clara understood. Do many men and women were killed that had probable powers as devil worshipers.

Alex could see her calm expression and went on with his story. "I have the power of strength, fire and water. Liam got healing power and flying. Brian doesn't know but I think he has the power of electricity and wind, Roger has metal power and magnetism. And now to kids and you."

Clara blinked at him. "Me?"

"Mia has the power of speed. I think Ian as well. Tessa has water, Mina has dual powers nature and earth. That is why your plants grow amazingly. And you... I can see your powers popping out from here and there. Amazing." Alex smiled brightly at her."

"How do you see powers?" She suddenly asked.

"I don't know. I just do." Alex shrugged and she just accepted. Sometimes you can't explain everything.

He came close and poked her head. "You have the power to open doors to other places. Like for now, your power is weal so your doors will be no more than a mile. But, you can open doors only on the planet."

Clara blinked at him. "Doors..."

"You have as well speed, high perception and one more thing. I just realized while ago. You can communicate with animals. Or better said they can understand you." He cloud see her nodding. Does this work? Liam, that fox was telling the truth. She really believes such a story. Well, he told the truth. More or less.

Then he stopped in front of her and smiled. "Let me show you how to use your powers..." But suddenly stopped.

Clara was standing near the shiny round door and looking at sleeping Deadeaters in the mall. One of Deadeaters sniffled inside and went back to sleep. Nothing interesting.

"Wow." Even Alex was amazed. Clara amazed him over and over again. No wonder she will inherit Mother's position. She didn't even need an explanation of how to use her powers...

It's not like a man can't inherit it. It's just that her abilities were strong even when she was born. She just doesn't know it yet.

"So I can open doors and let others pass through it. Wait, in that case..." She blinked and another door opened and Alex almost fainted. Even Mother couldn't do that.

The other door was to the nearby river. She could see frozen water flowing down under the ice. And something else. Fish. So many of them.

She turned her head to see pale-looking Alex stating at her in worry. "What?"

"How do you feel?" He looked at her completely normal complexion and was perplexed. "Don't you feel tired?"

She flexed her body and shook her head. "I'm fine."

He rubbed his temples as he felt a headache. "Both me and Liam feel tired after using our powers for too long. I used it eleven times today and feel like I moved the whole building on my own. I feel pain from head to toes."

Clara stood up and rubbed his hair like he was just a little boy. "You'll be fine. Go rest. I'll try my powers in multiple places and see how many times I can to it and how long the doors can be open."

She remembered that the crew saw thousands of frozen one cell creatures in one huge office building. If she could lead Deadeaters there. But wouldn't their bellies hurt if they eat cold food?
