chapter 8

Andrew POV

I was woken up by a knock on my door. I stood up and opened the door. Derric was standing in my doorway looking excited.

"She did it. Emelia summoned the moon goddess."

"Where is she?"

"Currently she is with Grayson. She loves her grandson so much."

"Okay give me 30 minutes then I will come to find you." 

Derric nods his head and turns around to walk away. I close the door and take a quick shower. Once I was done. I mind linked  Derric and he told me they were waiting for me in his office.

I walked into Derric office and once again I am astonished at how much Emelia and the moon goddess lookalike. They have the same color eyes and hair color. I also met Emelia's human parents and she also looks like them which is weird in my eyes.

"Andrew. So nice of you to join us. I hope you already filled them in."

"Yes, Moon goddess. But what I don't understand is why you didn't go to Emelia first. She is your daughter after all."

"you wanted war just as much as I did. We all know I send my daughter here to bring peace to the land and now I am asking for war."

"so moon goddess what exactly is it that you want besides war?" Derric is always the one that gets to the point the fastest.

"Derric you may call me mother since I am your mother in law. I have 3weeks until my body goes back to my realm so in these 3 weeks I need you to set up a meeting with the werewolf king and queen of the fairies. This put my due date the day after the wedding. I want us to begin the war before the wedding is set to start. That way most of the Vampires will be at the wedding. I just one small request. You are not to lay a hand on the prince and his mother. The prince wants the same as us. He wants the king to fall. His mother was roped into this and not by her wish. She also wishes to be free from her husband. "

"You have a deal. Let me just first call the king and queen to set up meetings. Emelia, why don't you and your mother go spend some time with Grayson then I will call you as soon as I have anything to report?" Emelia nods and gives Derric a kiss. They leave us alone and Derric picks up the phone.

"Hello, king Desmond. I am doing great. How are you? I would like to request a meeting with you. Yes in the next week if possible. No, it is a meeting requested by the moon goddess. Yes, my mother in law. No, it's not something I can discuss on the phone. Thank you and send my regards to the queen." Derric places down the phone and looks at me.

"Well, that is one down. We have a meeting in 4 days' time with the king. I just don't know if we are doing the right thing here Andrew."

"Derric I understand what your going through but look at me from my perspective. What will you do in my shoes if you knew that Emelia is going to marry someone that is not meant for her and you could do something to stop it?"

"Andrew have you forgotten that I did go through something similar. Emelia was with that human when I met her. She was happy and the thought of losing her was killing me but all I could think of is her happiness."

"Would you have let her marry the human if he didn't make her happy?" Derric looks at me like I have grown a second head and then it finally clicked for him.

"No, I would not have. Don't worry I see your point now. I have your back and I will do anything for you and your mate. You're like a brother to me. What happened to Edward? I haven't seen him since the day he brought us the tape in the hospital."

"He took over the training until I am back on my feet. He also knows about the war so he is pushing the warriors harder so that we can be ready for anything."

Derric picked up the phone once again and dialed what I guess is the fairy queens number.

"Hello, Queen Sarah. Yes, how are you? O no I am fine. Yes, my beta is out of danger now. I would like to request a meeting with you for the moon goddess. Yes, she will be there in person. No, I won't be able to discuss it with you over the phone. Yes, I was hoping we can conduct the meeting in the next week. That would be great thank you. Have a nice day."

"Okay, so we are leaving tomorrow to have a meeting with the fairy queen. Why don't you go to Edward and fill him in while I go to fill in Emelia?"

We both left the office. I walk towards the training grounds to go find Edward. He has been busy with the training from 4 am so I think he will be happy for the distraction. As soon as the meetings are behind us I will resume the training and give Edward some time off.

 Edward sees me walking towards him and he send the warriors off to get something to eat while we talk. Most of the warriors pat me on the back while they are running past me

"Hey, buddy. You look much better. What can I help you with? Shouldn't you be on bed rest still?"

"Hey. I am fine Edward. I just wish everyone would stop asking me that. I am here to ask you a favor. Derric and I need you to help with the pack this week. We have a meeting with King Desmond and Queen Sarah in regards to the war. The moon goddess decided d day is the day of the wedding so we have to spark to get everyone ready."

"You know I will do anything for you, Andrew. I just need someone to take over the training. I will ask my father to help me with that."

"Thank you. I will also speak to Derric to give you some time off to go find your mate once all this is settled. You also need a long vacation. This pack wound have gone down the drain without you this week. Let's go grab lunch."

We walked towards the dining hall. Each stuck in their own head. We sat and ate our lunch listening to the children laughing around the table. Once we were done Edward went back to the training and I retreated back to my room.

I started packing making sure as soon as Derric comes to calls me tomorrow I will be ready to go. I fell onto my bed switching on the tv to play some games for the rest of the night.
